My concern would be if Barton and Kranjcar can compliment each other or is it going to be difficult to play them together, and hence keep them both happy. The quality they both ooze means that MW needs to find a way to make it work.
They've played in the same team before...

St. Mirren are putting together a decent side for that division, hope they finish above Hibs and the Arabs!

Who's taking the under 20's now that Durrant is gone?

The midfield will be as follows
Barton
Windass Kranjcar
Cheers Mark

Will he even start for us come August the 6th?
Serious question, I would imagine the starting midfield three will be Rossiter, Barton and Niko. I suppose Niko won't play ever game so Windass could start those games but then you have Halliday, Holt and Forrester too?
What strength in depth we have! No more Nicky Law thank f**k

Stanraer with 2 wins in this competition already, could be a hard one on Monday...
My team would be:
Wes
Tav Kiernan Wilson Hodson
Holt Barton Niko
Dodoo Waghorn Forrester
Hopefully another few goals again, it would be good if Dodoo could grab another and to see Niko get off the mark ideally.
-
Looks like he will link up well with our players, I liked the little back heel with Niko that didn't quite come off. Looks to have good pace and he's built well enough not to get thrown about by the hammer throwers up here.
His goal shows his good instinct as well, he done well to get in position.

Haven't you heard, according to the press he wants to leave us!!!
Oh wait that was bullshit as proved by the contract extension.
Don't think he is injured though manager can only pick so many players.
Yeah but Tav would have been a good option on the bench if say he wanted to take Wallace off for half an hour and move Hodson to left back?
Subs just seem a bit unbalanced is all.
-
Tav not in the squad either? Is he injured?

aye superb.
Shite result actually. Imagine beating the Dutch cup holders and Rijeka who had an unbeaten run at home defeating the likes of Stuttgart, Feyenoord and Lyon. Also St. Johnstone beating Rosenberg a couple of years ago!? Embarrassing.

these teams would be better not in these competitions. All they do is fuck up. We have had some poor results - but we also have had some great nights. I cant think of once in the last decade where i thought "oh good result for Hibs/Hearts/Aberdeen in europe last night". All it is, is another tale of woe and embarrassment.
The only thing they appear capable of doing is upping there game against us.
Aberdeen have had some good results the past couple of years to be fair, beating Gronigen over two legs and Rijkea last season 3-0 away from home.
-
Looking forward to playing Hearts this season

Hearts getting beat 1-0

Given this is lowland league opposition we should be hoping to score 4+ goals I would say.
I'd start Gilks as well so that him and Wes get one home and away game each.
Gilks
Tav Hill Wilson Hodson
Holt Barton Forrester
O'Halloran Dodoo Miller
-
Tickets for the home end will be hard to get as well. You'd probably have to be on their database from buying previous tickets to purchase them.

The people have spoken.

You would like to think if the new CB came in Kiernan would be nothing more than a sub.
I think Kiernan is a favourite of MW. He picked him as one of his nominations for POTY.

Any press or comments i've seen on wednesdays home tie are pretty much that they are going to score a barrow load against the imps!! Nothing like counting your chickens!?!
Even if they do they still got beat by a team from Gibraltor in the champions league.

Atmosphere was great. Our away fans have always been loud and proud.
Apparently we sold our allocation out within 24 hours. Says a lot about our fantastic away support.
Wasn't the allocation done through the away game CCCS? Therefore emails were sent to those successful in being allocated a ticket through a ballot?

I think 60 mins from the start does more for your fitness levels than 30 mins as a sub. Might be thinking more about what I'd like to see.....guess we'll find out on Tuesday.
MW says in his post match interview that he wants Barton to get half an hour.
