  1. Actually monitoring their songs is acting like a tim, yes. Posting a thread asking if anybody else was on sentry duty, in case we missed something naughty, that is acting like a tim.

If a scum fan came up to me and shouted a load of sectarian abuse in my face, I might get the police on him. Actually, I'd probably just kick his cunt in. But I can't actually imagine a situation arising where I would witness it, otherwise. I don't watch their matches. I can't understand why anyone would, except perhaps to see them get pumped by Juve, for example.

I mean, people are free to spend their time as they choose, it's not my place to tell anybody what to do, but don't think that just because we're all Rangers fans and have mutual interests that we aren't also entitled to think that it's really fucking pathetic.

Monitoring it is a bit obsessed, I'll grant you, but if someone makes me aware of it, I'll maybe have a think at rattling off a complaint to FARE or whoever deals with this these days.

Think what you like, this place would be fucking chronic if we all thought the same thing.

  2. Of course it's bollocks. You know what's worse than being treated unfairly though?

    Acting like a scum fan.

Life is unfair. Take control of what you can.

So wanting to complain if that lot sing punishable songs is acting like a tim? Riiiiiiiight.

I can control who I complain to, if I think it prudent or fair.

  3. I really couldn't tell you what they might or might not be getting away with, because I've paid about as much attention to them in the last year as I have to Accrington Stanley. I'm about as bothered by what they get away with as I'm bothered by what Lazio or Juventus or any other club that sings questionable songs gets away with. Which is to say that I despise bigotry in general, and disapprove of it wherever it is found, but I'm not going to sit there listening intently to another team's support, noting down what they sing so that I can "level the playing field", and I would seriously question the sanity, though not the good intentions, of any of our fans who would do so.

I'd rather that we didn't get punished for stuff because we haven't done anything, rather than just because nobody has grassed us up.

I'm not saying everybody needs to pay attention and listen in so that we get treated fairly, but do you not think it's bollocks if that lot get away with singing songs they shouldn't, where we've been punished for in the past.

  4. I didn't say that I don't care about the mismanagement of priorities among our support.

This "if you don't care, why are you posting in this thread?" response, which always turns up in these threads, completely misses the point. It's moronic. I don't care about Celtic. I do care about Rangers fans embarrassing themselves.

So you don't care if that lot get away scot-free for the same fans behaviour that we've been punished for?

  5. (Apart from a smallish fee) it's easy to buy shares on the open market - that gives you a real vote at the Agm - you can proxy that vote to anyone you wish or act collectively and you can buy these shares even In your son or daughters name. So the fan ownership model is in existence - all we need is cash not a collective!

Me and my old man have been buying a small amount of shares each month since they were floated. I feel far more comfortable having control of my vote than the RST, and can say the same for the old man.
