  1. Really, the £5m including the contracts aswell? Not so sure on that. Remember hearing Whyte saying if Ally needed the money in January then it was there to spend, although that could effect the next seasons budget.

Also I tend to disagree with the Miller and our position. In the League and the way Celtic where playing us off the park, yes it was a worse position but regarding strikers we still had Jelavic coming back from injury, Lafferty, Healy, Naismith and I suppose Diouf. Alot more options than we have this term.

I do agree with your point about having more striking options last year but i think if the bank were still in charge we would be a lot more than 4 points behind Celtic and would have sold all our big players. anyway mate agree to disagree

  2. Have we already spent the £5m that Craig Whyte guranteed us? I not too sure, considering alot of our deals where done instalments.

The 5 mil was for new contracts aswell so yes we have had that....all transfers are done in Installments. We are in a much better position than last year when we were selling miller for 300k. If whyte hadn't bought us then McGregor, Davis, Naisy, Whittaker and Jelavic would have been sold in the summer. I have no idea what Whyte's plans are for us but i will continue to back him until something changes

  3. I can blame Craig Whyte for not stumping up the funds for Ally to add another striker (or two) to the squad, when Ally has stated numerous times that we are short up top.

with the money coming from where???? we have had no extra income this year through European games....oh and a little tax case hanging over our heads!! You cannot blame him for throwing money at the club at the moment

  4. Is being left with Lafferty and Healy as our only two striking options going into the second part of the season.

If we are that stupid and that one sighted to leave ourselves in that situation when we are out of Europe, out of the League Cup and 4 points (technically) behind Celtic after a 19 point swing then I will have lost a hell of a lot of confidence in both Ally McCoist and Craig Whyte.

There will be no excuse for this happening, we must not let this happen. I'm not one for surrendering anything to anyone, nevermind to Celtic, but it would take a minor miracle for us to overcome that deficit from Celtic.

Massive day tomorrow and I for one is not looking forward to it!

You can't blame Craig Whyte for a 19 point swing, what exactly has Whyte done wrong?

  5. We can't afford to offer a deal to an Estonian right back so why the fuck do we have a 12 page thread on a guy who is scoring goals in the EPL and is loved by his current club?

Because we need the money from the Jelavic sale to put into wages for new players

Hammers knock deal for Liverpool target on the head

West Ham have pulled out of a move for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic.

The Hammers offered the Glasgow club £5.25million and a further £1m based on appearances for the 17-goal Croatian, who arrived for £4m just 17 months ago.

Rangers were prepared to cash in, but Jelavic’s personal terms appeared to kill the deal.

Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan was disappointed that details of the offer were exaggerated and made public in Scotland.

They were leaked in an attempt to create an auction for Jelavic, who is rumoured to be a target for Premier League clubs Liverpool, Fulham, West Brom and QPR.

Jelavic, who is earning £24,000 a week at Ibrox, wanted in excess of £40,000 to play at Upton Park and around £60,000 if West Ham got promoted to the Premier League.

According to Sullivan it was 5.25 +1mill add ons so someone is not being honest.

As for 24k a week here, not sure about that

I thought Jelavic was on about 15k, no way could we have offered him a four year deal on 24k a week with the position we were in last year

  7. will rapid vienna not have a sell on clause ? 20% probably and if sold jelavic will be due money as he didn`t ask for a transfer :anguish: when craig keeps his cut there won `t be much left for ally! of course i could be talking aload of shite.

I don't think anybody expects ally to be given millions, no player we have been linked would have required a big fee apart from maybe Holt but that will never happen...Jelavic going will allow Whyte to put some money towards running the club and allow Ally to get a few players in on low wages...I would like to think we are all realistic enough to know that is the situatuion

  8. Yes we do need him because he is better than wylde.

I do agree with you but we just seem to be signing a lot of similar players.....the balance of the squad would be a little concerning. there are other areas of the squad that are more important...however i would be very happy if we had signed Templeton come tuesday night

  9. “@Donaldson007: If Everton, or any other club, is successful in signing Nikica Jelavic I'm told Rangers will use some of the cash to bid for David Templeton”

    ESPN reporter !!

I love Templeton as a player but do we need him now?? aluko, Wylde, Naisy, Mervan

  10. Why? So we knock back 7.2 then accept 7 million a few days later. I would rather he stayed if I'm being honest

I don't think him staying is an option....we are desperate for the cash, the last thing i want is for nobody to bid for him and then we have to sell McGregor or Davis at the last minute just to raise some funds

  11. Some players come on trial and then Ally says he likes them but is not in a position to offer them a contract

    Thats the annoying thing

If Jelavic is sold, i think we will offer contracts to Jaager and carlos. It's better than selling Jelavic at the last minute and then panic buying players that you have never seen play. At least McCoist knows what these players can do.... And another point most of the players that have been on trial have been free agents so they can be signed outside the window..like Aluko.

  12. Please make this happen. Let's hope Jelavic stays and we can play Salihi right next to him we'd have a strike force to be reckoned with. We already have Mervan, if we could get salihi and Jaager in whilst keepin hold of Jelavic until the summer then this must be viewed as an excellent transfer window for us.

Come the summer this club needs stripped of all deadwood: Broadfoot, Whittaker, McCulloch, Ortiz, Bedoya, McKay, Kerkar, Healy and maybe even the perma-injured Ness.

There is no way we will bring in Salihi if Jelavic stays!! And your last point about selling Ness....Really????
