  1. My take on this, oh fuck we(whoever deals with transfers)might get this guy STALL,STALL

until someone tries to sign him or both euro deadlines have passed and then we either sign right after or another club gets him, familiar pattern heard this somewhere before?

  2. The UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations have been widely supported by all clubs and stakeholders, during the long and considered consultation and approval process.

UEFA is aware of the recent transfer activity across Europe. It must be noted, however, that the financial fair play rules do not prevent clubs from spending money on transfers themselves but rather require them to balance their books at the end of the season. It is therefore difficult to comment on any individual situation without knowing the long-term strategy of each club.

There is no doubt that transfers made now will impact on the break-even results of the financial years ending 2012 and 2013 – the first financial years to be assessed under the break-even rule. The clubs know the rules and also know that UEFA is fully committed to implementing them with rigour. For example, as from this summer all payments due on transfers and to employees will be assessed by the Club Financial Control Panel (CFC Panel) as part of the "enhanced overdue payables" rule.

UEFA has full confidence that the clubs are increasingly aware of the nature of the financial fair play rules, which aim to encourage clubs to balance their incomes and expenses over a period of time covering 4-6 transfer windows.

In this regard, and during the implementation of the financial fair play rules, UEFA will continue to work together with clubs in order to help them achieve this most important and commonly shared objective. FOR MORE GOOGLE THE FAIR PLAYER RULE UEFA.

  3. What do you mean by this rule mate? I've never heard anything about it. How did Man City expolit it? I know their stadium is now the Etihad stadium but that's all.

The days of big spending SEEM to uefa to becoming to an end(i right).

The fair play rule coming into effect soon in the next couple of years means you can only spend a certain percentage of what the clubs earn in revenue.

Well instead of the owner giving the club say 400m to spend just out of is pocket cant be done under the fair play rule.(HE then gives them £400m in sponsorship) doh

Exploit techinally yes but legal for now,Already Wenger and a few managers already bitching about it.

I will try and find any official on what the rules are.

  4. As much as a strain it would be to leave Scotland and alot of that history would kind of dissappear once we'd go to England, i'd be happy enough to see us start in League 2. The standard is poorer so we'd walk the league. Get to League 1 and the standard is poorer as well. Then get to the Championship and get more dosh in. Be an exciting proposition for billionaire owners and then i'd like to see us reach where I want to see this club. At the very top and being in the Premiership we can get there, potential new owners. Millions of tv money. Higher ticket prices but you'd be happier to pay them because of what you'd be watching every week. Potential expansion of the stadium to 70,000 eventually. I know i'm getting carried away but it's where we need to be to progress as a club unless a big tv deal is struck in the SPL.

Well just a few facts your missing sherlock we'ed be lucky if they gave us a start in league 2 because no matter where we would start some clubs would bitch about it and it wouldnt happen UNLESS we pay them off and the NUMBER 1 fact for me(IN WHICH I AGREEE WITH YOU) why it wont happen anytime soon the bigger clubs wouldnt give a shit to start with but then when we eventually get in the premiership where in my opinion and many of the Gers fans opinion with the fanbase we have have and extra commercial revenue we make we would challenging big time for honours and THAT IS THE MAIN BLOCKER IN GETTING THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY IN SOMEWAY fear us ever getting down there.

  5. "But we have a wage structure for all the Scots boys. When they break into the team they are on pounds 1000- pounds 2000 a week; if they become regulars, they are on pounds 5000-pounds 6000 a week and if they become assets to the team and sign extended contracts, they get between pounds 10,000-pounds 12,000 a week.

more than fare to me. (tu)

  6. Population of 5 million, 2 massive clubs that are easily accessible (majority of Scottish population are only about 2 hours away from Ibrox/Gary Glitter Dome) in a city which is much larger than any other city in the country, even the capital. It's therefore no surprise with that the SPL is an uncompetitive and unattractive league.

Despite that, Scottish football punched above its weight for a long time, but the gap in TV revenue has made being competitive even harder

How the fuck can you compare Ibrox to FUCKIN PAEDO BASTARD Glitter

  8. The standard of Scottish football at every level is crap.I honestly dont know why we dont just become part of a UK team at International level and let the SPL and other Scottish Leagues follow suit.Even if it means we have to start at the very bottom of English football and work our way up it would be much better all round for us in the medium term.Only the Old Firm offer any kind of half decent opposition but even that is fast falling away.We just cant compete in the transfer market or on the wage front but we have a support second to none that deserves to see us compete at the highest level possible.I am absolutely sure that if we started at the lowest level of English football within 3-4 years we would be in the EPL and then we would be able to compete on all fronts.

If you were to start at the very bottom of english leagues it would be at least 10 years to get to EPL it goes alot lower than you think but thats another debate for another day.

  9. No money on this earth would make me approve of calling Ibrox some shitty sponsor.

It will always be Ibrox Stadium, home to "The Rangers Football Club" - The most successful club ever.

I would hate my children to grow up going to the "Doritos Arena". Rangers and Ibrox go hand in hand. The day Ibrox is renamed will be the start of the demise of our great historical football club. It'll be the day we're no longer an institution and an icon in the sporting world and we move to just being another business.

say some daft sponsor did through silly money at us and we went from losing to malmo to beating the top teams in europe and on a regular basis getting to latter stages of Champions league You would still say no.

  10. Just been a member for a week now and havent seen this topic brought up so if it has i apologise.

If our commercial man Ali Russell had managed to get a company to sponsor say either the stadium or a stand would you approve or dissaprove.(and was a good offer)

  11. wont be happening anytime soon, but wouldnt argue with michael laudrup with Brian as ass manager.

My first choice would be Billy Davies as hes done well where ever hes been but has been shafted by is last 2 chairman not backing him up and stands for NO SHIT! back me or sack me attitude which to me is good.

but im willing to let ally time to put is stamp on things.

my suggestions are only worse case scenario
