  1. As others have suggested, I can see them hitting us with some bullshit trumped-up administration-error charge & a resultant fine to plug the hole in their finances (even if we appeal it, wouldn't it still show up on their balance sheet until the appeal was decided?)

Out of interest - does anyone know where auld Nimmo stays? If so pop round & see if he's got a joiner sticking plywood over his windows, that'll give us a clue...

    :pipe:

  2. The first paragraph sums it up for me - the most successful club in the world, with a healthy turnover, forced into administration by HMRC over what transpired to be around £14m of non-payment of taxes that a fucking fraudster stole. We could have sold half the first team and paid off that & the fucking bank overdraft but were forced into liquidation over a spurious & heavily inflated claim, presumed guilty when innocent & had to listen to every half-arsed "journalist" slating us for absolutely everything - triumphalism is the one that gets me - we were too proud of fucking winning!

You literally could not make this fucking debacle up, it sickens me every time i think about it.

    Cunts!

  3. Just had a look at that Juve forum - some of it's hilarious, this guy called it though!

  4. I liked this one - sounds more descriptive of their "history" than home record in Europe

Corriere dello Sport: Matri favourite to start ahead of Giovinco

Rome-based title Corriere tips Conte to pair the ex-Cagliari man with Mirko Vucinic in attack ahead of the minute Giovinco. They also tip Peluso to play on the left-wing.

They also use the rather curious title, ‘Booty in House’ to describe Celtic’s home record in Europe.

  5. Listening just now - nice to see an impartial observer look at the bigger picture & give a balanced viewpoint, rather than the usual phone ins featuring the unwashed mongrel hordes bleating on about utter fallacies.

If anyone's not yet listened, give it a few minutes of your time (tu)

  6. I'm the same. I've spent my whole life obstinately refusing to even talk about English football. My argument always being that we have our own football up here, and we have a national duty to support it.

But that has changed now. I wish it hadn't. But it has.

Hopefully the talk of going down south is ultimately a bargaining chip - I'd still like to see us stick around long enough to get it right up these bastards - I'd also hate to think we're heading towards a situation that certain folk wanted all along, for whatever ends...

If it came to the crunch I'd give nary a shit if we got out & the rest of Scottish football took a massive step backwards & ended up a glorified pub league though. Be a sad state of affairs all the same - hope Charles has an ace or 5 up his sleeve!

  7. Associate membership may ultimately work to our advantage, as it allows us to leave without giving notice.

I hope CG is busy down South!

I'd thought about that when the whole "associate membership" card was being flashed in our faces to remind us we had basically no say whatsoever with regards to league reconstruction. To be honest, at the time I wouldn't have entertained the thought for a second, however as time has gone on i've become more & more disillusioned with the whole Scottish setup & would welcome a move to any division down south to get us away from these devious underhanded bastards up here, it's becoming more & more apparent that they're all bought & paid for. Never thought i'd say that, but at this moment in time I wouldn't give a shit if we never played any of them again, in fact, i'd fucking love it.

    :p20:

  8. George Galloway is a self publicizing, self serving walloper - the very fact he's using us as a vehicle to boost his public profile says it all - we're big news & all these slimy fuckers want their names listed alongside us for that very reason.

His statement on the Julian Assange case that shagging an unconscious woman "doesn't constitute rape" tells you plenty about him.

Onto his 4th wife, recently staff at his plush London home found gay porn & empy bottles of gin in a closet (where else) - this was blamed on an un-identified homeless man... (obviously)

    You couldn't make it up

Another one only here to see the Rangers

    :7325:

  9. Good to see this happening, I always found it pretty annoying when the rhats were bleating on about the "poor wee wummin at the flooer shoap n'at" that the big, bad Rangers had left destitute... bawbags.

Does anyone actually know if there's a comprehensive list of (minor) creditors that were owed money & if so, how many are still outstanding and how much is owed to them? i know the RFFF paid off a lot of these smaller debts, but never noticed if there was a list of those who had been settled <cr>

  10. Try Jim Hannah he's a good guy and the fans liaison officer.

Have done mate - a kind bear pointed me in his direction earlier, cheers! Hopefully I can get something sorted out in the not too distant future, shall keep you posted as there's possibly others with the same inclination, cheers!.j

  11. Do you not think he'd rather it remained at Ibrox, that's why you buy them is it not?

A good point which I agree with, however i'm completely unsure of the current situation surrounding the old bond scheme - if the Club confirmed that seat would always bear his name then it would be a great thing to leave in place, and i'd instead ask if I could possibly get a "replica" of it to give to him as a reminder of all the great times he had there, however if it would (or may already) be replaced with a plain one then i'd like to have it instead of it being eventually launched in a recycling bin.

Haven't heard what, if anything, is planned for those seats with wee name badges on them - anyone? Obviously they mean a lot to some folk & I wouldn't like to think they're just being removed as they no longer relate to the scheme which saw them installed.

    Cheers guys!

  12. M8 I would just go to Ibrox tell the story and I am sure they will help, They are top drawer to help ppl like this

Yeah mate i've thought about just popping along, i'm not far away myself - fired an email via the web contact form earlier too - but with things like this it's always possible no-one really knows how to (or who should) handle it & it just gets passed around from person to person... until hopefully someone sees it & thinks "Aye nae worries, that'll only take 5mins & there's a few tired looking seats there due to get swapped anyways - when do ye want to pick it up?"

Still, i've heard loads of stories previously about the Club bending over backwards to help folk out so should be do-able - If I don't get a response from the web contact form i'll just pop along & ask nicely (tu)

  13. Hi guys & gals,

Wee request - i've looked on the club website & can't find any helpful-looking email addresses so thought i'd ask on here if someone could point me in the right direction...

Been thinking about trying to do something for my Grandpa who, until this year has had a ST for the last 20 years or so - he's finally come to the admission that he's getting a bit auld for getting to games, (only made about half the home games last year) not as steady on his feet anymore & fed up with tripping down the stairs / freezing / standing up & sitting doon 30 times per half to let latecomers in / early pie hunters out etc. etc. - you get the jist of it, i've taken him to a couple of games this season & he loves it once he's in & sitting down, however I think he's happier going to the odd game than feeling obliged to go to every home game in all weathers as he did when he still had his ST... he's had a rough time of late with various things I shan't go into & it'd be nice to give him a wee gesture.

Anyway - he was a bond holder with his name on his seat & all that jazz, loves the club - got his brick in the Govan front, buys all the Rangers limited edition whiskies & all that - you get the idea... i'd like to if possible, get hold of his seat-back with the wee name plaque on it (or even a replica if it's been replaced - last game I was at i forgot to look to see if it's still there) to have framed & give to him as a memento (would be dynamite if Walter & Ally could sign it even - he'd love that) - does anyone work at the club know any helpful contacts that could maybe sort something out? I'll happily pick up the tab for the seat-back to be replaced, that's not a problem, only issue is finding the right channels to go through to get the ball rolling so to speak.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - cheers all!

  14. They can discuss it all they want.

It's a very straightforward rule. The away team is entitled to a fixed share of the gate receipts, as payment for playing the game, not payment for bringing fans along.

If they try to change the rules, it will be such a blatant example of victimisation that even our rotten mhedia will be hard pushed not to see it as clear unjustifiable bias.

If they change the rules regarding the distribution of monies from cup games, based on how many away fans attend, we'll profit far more in the long term by not having to hand over 37.5% of the cash to fans of "diddy teams" who bring only 1% of the total gate to cup matches.

Either way we're laughing. Like fuck. I understand there are Bears who would have taken the "rise above" view & that's admirable, however, it's time to show that these no-mark carpetbagging bastards that we're no cash cow to be milked at will.

As I mentioned on another thread yesterday, what i'd really like to see now from Charles is a statement to the effect that refusing our ticket allocation is nothing to do with hitting these backstabbing bastards in the pocket, it's a geniune concern based around prior evidence that Dungdee Hivs can't properly organize security in their shitey stadium. Given the heightened tensions between fans, we're taking the noble stance that, despite thousands upon thousands of our fans wanting to attend the game & spend fortunes on pies & all that shite, in the interests of safety we're reluctantly turning down the allocation.

Remember this thuggish behaviour, for which DU were fined £13k?

    _62000381_tannadice1.jpg

    That's all

    :cgreen:

  15. Forgive me if i've missed it, but Charles Green didn't expand on the "security" issue did he?

I would love it (in the style of the famous Kevin Keegan v Man U rant) if when questioned about worries over security, he said it was nothing to do with a potential Bears picket line, but fears over the safety of the travelling fans after DU's last game of this importance, versus Dinamo Moscow in the UEFA cup game, resulted in a fucking punch up due to insufficient "security arrangements" :sherlock:

    :cgreen:

  16. Does anyone know how the ticketing allocation system actually works, i.e. if the match tickets are allocacted in blocks of say, 500/1000?

Surely there must be a minimum allocation uptake for them to be required to provide a segregated "away section", otherwise are we looking at a couple of hundred Bears who didn't want to boycott the game turning up at random?

Truth be told, I feel sorry for the players if this all comes to fruition, however, for the greater good & all that I think it's worthwhile - shan't be going myself, however I wouldn't usually attend away matches generally so I can't claim to be making a sacrifice here!

    :crabflute:

  17. Someone who is on twitter should ask the fud about yellow teeth and a few of his team republican terrorist mates who lost a tax case re investments , what this fud thinks of them.

Altered that slightly - I'm sure there were some decidedly dodgy characters involved in that particular monumental fuck up, which eventually saw lhemmy lose a considerable of cash if i'm not mistaken... what's that old saying again?
