  1. Pretty sure the land around Murray park is classed as brown belt..

Pretty sure it is - I recall many moons ago when the Whyte (bastard) takeover was in the planning stages some folk predicted Auchenhowie would be scrapped & sold off for housing development, that suggestion was countered by many stating the land was specifically developed for recreational use & couldn't just be flattened for houses... could be wrong though & who knows if the land deeds could be changed at a later date... however i'd have imagined someone would have done so long before the training ground was built there if housing was an option.

The Albion car park would amount to quite a sizeable patch if joined to the land occupied by the half demolished flats though, that's a given.

Ibrox stadium itself would be a strange one if the unthinkable happened & some fucker bought it for re-development, I wouldn't go out of respect for the Club & I don't think many other fans would, timmy would probably relish the thought of visiting it in its new guise though, dirty clatty bastards that they are.

No that i expect any of the above to come to fruition...

  2. I hope he catches aids.

I hope he catches super-aids :craphead:

At first I thought anyone who used the contract transfer thing to engineer a move out of the club couldn't really be blamed, football being a short career and all that shite... then I thought about it & came to the conclusion that they've already earned more from Rangers in a few short years than some of the fans, WHO PAY THEIR FUCKING WAGES, will in a lifetime - in Naismith's case usually whilst sitting on his fucking arse with his leg in bandages, in Whittaker's case whilst displaying the uncanny inability to pass the fucking ball 10 yards. These fuckers should realize the privileged position they're in & give something back to the club & the fans when they're going through a hard time, instead of stabbing them in the fucking back.

Like most on here, i'd walk a mile barefoot through broken glass to play for the Rangers & not ask a single shiny penny in return - anyone deserting us at this time, especially as they're ensuring the club gets fuck all in return for them to further line their pockets, should be viewed as a mercenary turncoat bastard & hounded at every turn from here on in.

  3. if you want integrity, watch snooker, or golf, or tennis.

there is no integrity in football.

there has been, for sometime, a win at all costs mentality.

what really, is the difference between chancing your arm with the taxman and taking a last minute dive to get a penalty and win a game?

How much did Rezek cost our national team, the SFA, scottish football, and ultimatly the Scottish econemy, when his "integrity" went out the window and he chose to do this, and deny Scotland the chance of competing in a major tournament? :

    Jan-Rezek-Dive.jpg

Good point - have a rep that man, there's hee-haw difference in sporting terms between creative accounting which effectively allows you to give your top players a higher take home pay for the same outlay and some diving bastardo flinging himself to the ground to gain a free-kick/penalty which could ultimately cost the opposing team millions of pounds in the long run.

  4. If ally threatens to walk, the players may refuse to move to newco too, forcing green out. Wishful thinkin i know...

Hopefully it won't come to this however it is a valid option - fuck, if Green refuses to step aside after hearing this news i'll go & remove him myself, shortly before I cast a statue of Sir Watty & erect it outside Ibrox myself!

  5. The problem is that there are two big pictures, thanks to the machinations of various individuals and clubs.

On the one hand you have the "bigger picture" that the SPL needs Rangers to function successfully, especially with Celtic still firmly in there. There is an argument that Scottish football might be better off without the "Old Firm". It would be at a lower level, to be sure, but there would be increased competitiveness. And the costs for the smaller clubs would probably be lower, as they'd not have to try and live with the "Old Firm" clubs. But with nowhere for the "Old Firm" to go, the SPL needs both "Old Firm" clubs to attract a television deal, sponsorships and to actually have a genuine competition ... one "Old Firm" club winning year after year after year would be disastrous.

The other "bigger picture" is, of course, about the nebulous concept of "sporting integrity" ... immediately voting Rangers back in to the SPL would essentially mean that you're saying that Rangers (and by association Celtic) are necessary to the SPL. Unlikely to happen, of course, but what would happen if one of the "Old Firm" clubs suffered genuine relegation on the field of play? Would that be reversed for the same commercial reasons that saw Rangers re-admitted to the SPL now?

They did it for the sheep-shaggers :sherlock:

I reckon we should vote against ourselves re-joining the SPL, just to show we're prepared to go down to the 3rd & if enough clubs vote to keep us up then we can still claim the moral high-ground on "sporting integrity"...

Then, we wait & see what actual sanctions materialize, then instruct them to take a short course in advanced yoga & go fuck thier own arseholes. Sideways.

    No surrender

  6. I seen it years ago - a few of my mates & I were utterly smashed out of our minds and some bright spark put THAT on. I have never laughed so much in my entire life - Duval's Welsh/Jamaican accent was nearly the end of me that night, proper rolling around the carpet in tears stuff - try watching the Robert Duval scenes with a straight face, the "shot at glory multi-bong challenge" it should be called.

One less - I wasn't signed in, the rest are probably him ;)

Whether we ignore him or not - as I tend to do - he's hell bent on painting our fine club in a bad light & most probably encouraging the lowest common denominator amongst the mhanks to do likewise. I'm glad that people are asking questions regarding his motives on this agenda - let he without sin cast the first stone and all that shit, because this fucker has been throwing plenty

  8. I stopped going to away games years ago due to the attitude and treatment from some of the clubs. Also the marking up prices imposed on old firm fans is scandelous, total rip off. Not only that, the fans arent considered by League and TV when asked to travel in sometimes dangerous conditions to Inverness/Aberdeen for a 12:45 kick off on a freezing winter morning.

Most of the away games are on tv nowadays,so why dont fans go up to the stadiums and have a protest outside the ground attracting local/national media coverage then head to the local pubs for the game on tv.Gers fans get there day out,the local economy doesnt suffer and it also makes the point that the fans are willing to follow their team but wont give the clubs any of their money. That'll also insure that a police presence will be required, putting added pressure onto the clubs financially and politically.

Only thing the boycott may do is cause a reaction from the wee clubs fans and they may actually start attending games again as a type of counter reaction.

They'll have to - if rumours are to be believed, a few of them are treading on thin ice financially & the prospect of losing what could ultimately amount to a couple of million quid per year could properly fuck them.

The point about fans travelling to protest outside matches is interesting, however I reckon it would be painted in a bad light in the media, they'd be running the stories of how, despite not attending away games, Rangers fans still travelled to cause trouble & sing songs of hate etc. etc. blah blah - sad but true.

Mate of mine's a Killie fan & was bleating on FB about how Rangers fans boycotting away games would be great as they would be able to go to games without fear, not have to listen to terrible songs & the stadium wouldn't be trashed, shite like that - I said it wouldn't matter as much to them as they'd evict their own fans to bow to the tims 4 times per season for a shiny penny, which might make up some of the shortfall. :sherlock: Seriously want this boycott to go ahead - I personally don't go to away matches & would understand that some die-hards will still want to go & support the team, wherever we play - which is entirely understandable & i'd support their right to do so - but i'd love for some of these teams to be forced into the realization that we (&the tims i regret to say) pay through the nose to keep their shitey, half - arsed outfits afloat.

    :crabflute:

  9. As much as we would love to tell the Spl to ram it and apply for the SFL, any prospective buyers would not. From a business perspective the SFL is far less attractive. With no tv revenue whatsoever in the SFL, we would have to kiss goodbye to our whole current first team. Obviously the club is more important than the players playing for us, but unless the bidder truly has Rangers in their heart then this option will unfortunately be a no go for them.

I see your point & I thought about that too, however as there's no current TV deal in the SFL the door would be open for RTV to organize broadcasts of our matches with a small percentage going to the opposition - how many bears around the world would subscribe to see our return to greatness over the course of a couple of seasons? I certainly would, in the knowledge that the majority of the subscription fees were going to the club instead of into a pot to be shared round the rest of the teams - i'm sure the other teams wouldn't demand a 50/50 share of the fees for matches they were involved in as they & the league would probably be most welcome of any extra income.

It's true to say that the vast majority of the current team would be lost, however we then wouldn't be paying millions of pounds out every month un-necessarily on high wages for players to pump smaller teams week in week out - if I were currently a Rangers player on £20k per week, i'd play for a nominal fee until we got back into the SPL, that's not going to happen with our first team admittedly, but i'd hope the youngsters coming through would want to take on new contracts in the knowledge that they'd be making a name for themselves & be guaranteed a game every week too - they'd surely be affordable.

All of this will ultimately remain pie in the sky, however it would be an interesting shake up of Scottish football as we know it were it to happen - I for one shall remain blindly optimistic until I hear for sure our new owners have sucked it up big time & kept us in the SPL with as few penalties as they can realistically get away with...

  10. Well said bud.smiley-gen014.gif

Cheers mate - I don't really post much as most things are well covered, however this has fucked me off large style - where else in the history of professional sporting competition have the governing body attempted to implent what would effectively rank as a retrospective rule change to impose punitive actions on one of their members? (no smart arses please i'm on another rant & can't be arsed checking) Not only "one of their member clubs" - the most successful club in their shitey competitions' existence, historically the most successful domestic club side on the fucking planet even! Who the fuck do they think they are?! It doens't bear thinking about, regardless if it's even possible for them to implement these changes - either way, they can (figuratively) suck my fucking balls.

    :crabflute:

  11. Fuck these bastards, sick to my back teeth of them. Was against dropping down the leagues, but after this and let's not kid ourselves these measures are brought in to fuck us over, pure and simple.

Lets drop down from the spl...............................

The tv deal gone for all these bastards

The prospect of two home games or even three for the odd club....................gone

Just watch the bastards tumble like a pack of cards.

We would work or way back up the divisions and get a young team together that can gain experience and still play glamour friendlies and have tournaments at Ibrox, because if we find ourselves in this situation we are out of Europe for 3 years so why not fuck all these rhats up once and for all.

Just under 48k at the old crocks game.........that is equvalent of 9 home games from Scumdee Hivs and The Sheep. If they implement this I hope our new owners tell them to fuck off.

And if these plastics over in the east end do not vote against these rules with is, then we fuck them up re voting for a chance to the 11-1 scenario now in force.

    Bingo

To be honest, before spotting that story on BBC website & subsequently coming on here to pick the bones out of it, dropping down to D3 was the last thing I would have wanted to happen to our club. Now the realization has well & truly hit home that the rest of the SPL clubs really do want us fucked over big style & furthermore to continually be fucked over for the next 3 years i'm all for leaving the shower of shite in the crapper. They want us in the SPL so they can fight over the scraps that sky toss into Scottish football, but basically crippled due to ongoing punishemnts so that we'll essentially be in impotent force when it comes to competing for the league title. Fuck the lot of them, it's time to call their bluff big time - us dropping into D3 might actually be good for the whole of Scottish football, a hard-reset if you will, forcing clubs to rely on their dwindling fanbase for financial support & let's see how far that gets them. Rangers (& the scum) bring around half a million quid to every away team we visit, some 4 times per season & that's going to contribute massively to their annual income, even if we ultimately get taken over & remain in the SPL in some way, shape or form i'd wholeheartedly support a total boycott of away games (bar the scum games as let's be fair, they'd sell the whole piggery out for an OF derby, especially one against a weakened Gers side they's have a chance of beating) & sit back to watch half the teams in the SPL die on their arses. How long would it take for the gfitw to lose interest & vanish leaving the scum with a fucking enormous wage bill they can't afford?

Sad as it it, I'm actually becoming more excited by the prospect of dropping down & starting largely from scratch with a young, homegrown team & no ongoing SPL punishments purely designed to keep us down whilst exploiting our saleability for the benefit of others. Fuck the SPL - Drop the ticket prices, cap the salaries, play the youngsters & NO SURRENDER!

  12. Is this article from the Sellick website?

Evening Times, just read it online (2 mins i'll never get back...) my favourite quote from it was; “That would have taken it to extra-time had we scored it and we were in the driving seat at that time.”

So to recap: at 1-0 down, with only 1 minute of extra time to play, with Killie holding possession very well, with most of the Celtic team having chucked it already, old fucking Scott " :BELM: " Brown thinks they were in control of the match...

You could not make this shit up. Seriously.
