With hindsight, I probably should have worded my initial comment differently. It admittedly came across as a tad pessimistic about our achievement and that was not my attention.

Because you're a glory hunter. If you don't understand the importance of the 3rd division title you really don't have a clue what the last year and a half has been about.
For me it was about getting back into the leagues and working our way up in consecutive seasons, and in that regard recent times have been pivotal. Obviously we really should be winning the title and it would be embarrassing if we didn't but the most important thing here is to get back to the top as quickly as possible. So in conclusion, my interpretation of your "understanding of the importance of the third division title" is that you've somewhat over-estimated the importance of 1st place itself.
But you're absolutely entitled to your opinion and I can respect that.

That said, if there's fans out there who are proud of that 3rd division trophy and want us to put in the cabinet forever, I apologise for claiming zero would care. I was mistaken.

Here's one for you then.... if Microsoft are advising gamers not to stand the console up vertically, what happens if you do and it breaks within the warranty timeframe? Can they detect you stood it up? Could they deny a refund? Would they have a leg to stand on based on mere "advice"? It seems like a very grey area.
ps, I say Microsoft are advising "gamers" but Microsoft are ignoring that word and pushing this as an entertainment system now. Reminded me of Vince McMahon's "this is sports entertainement" speech all those moons ago,

Walter Smith played players out of position all the time. Thats where Coisty got it from and nobody really had an issue when we were winning ugly with Sir Walter's 'versatile' setups.
Coisty cant win here because of certain fans' lack of respect for the opposition.

What about fans having to walk about in it? The actual matches is only one element.
I doubt they'll care too much about fans outside of the stadium other than safety measures to prevent violence. Whether they are too hot or too cold would be down to the individual to sort out themselves I reckon.
The whole thing is a farce. There's still time to do the right thing and switch it to a different country but it wont happen.
ps, I'm maybe a bit biased as I know England have absolutely no chance of winning a tournament in a country like Qatar... We need somewhere like Germany, Italy, France etc where the conditions are similar.

If they switch this to the winter months think of the madness that would cause in domestic football. The associations should chip in for climate control for stadiums in Qatar. UEFA would possibly be willing to invest also given the disruption it would cause to the Champions League and Europa League. Wouldnt that be the best way around it? Or have associations given enough to Qatar already if you know what I mean nudge nudge wink wink...

Okay, not really that relevant, but still.
Sony have been flawless in all but one area and its been solved. And that was users being unable to capture gameplay and upload it to the likes of Youtube. I think Sony tried to cut a deal with Youtube to get money from Playstation footage but eventually gave in. Maybe they realised gameplay footage is free advertisement and would only increase revenue?... I knew that problem would be fixed as Sony would be hesitent to let Microsoft get even a shred of leverage back their way.
ps, I'd like it if Sega decided to have one last throw of the dice but it'll never happen. (Nostalgia taking over as i've been playing some Mega Drive games today. Ah, good times, good games.)

I like John Greig but I dont think I'd take that argument on. Whether he was or he wasnt I've no idea but with the lack of response from anyone maybe we've already had the answer? who knows.

Yeah as i said before PS3 was more powerful than 360...but it didnt really mean jack...most games were better on the lesser console.
True, although The Last of Us was the nicest game of this generation and it was a PS3 exclusive... (could that mean the Xbox 360 being better was a myth and the potential was there at Playstation all along?... lol)
Also the thing about Xbox One is it has Live which is far superior to PSN and it has by far the better control pad, If you must buy a console purely because it's more powerful then buy both and get the best of both worlds.
A better control pad for who? When it comes to the controller its all about whats more comfortable for the individual gamer to use. A matter of opinion.
Xbox Live was better than the Playstation Network but not by much. And no doubt the PSN will improve now that its charging a subscription fee like Xbox
I think eventually the xbox and Playstation community will be in one place but its probably a long way off.

Sounds like an admission the Playstation is the better console in terms of specs. Of course, he say's the hardware is "near-final" so there may be some improvements but Sony are still working to improve their system as well.

The PS3 was more powerful than 360...look how that turned out....As long as we get great games no one will care about slight differences.
Am I a playstation fanboy? lol. Nope. I do prefer Playstation if truth be told but i still ditched my PS3 for an Xbox 360 as I just want the best gaming experience regardless of what console it is.

I agree with with your comment that as long as we get great games nobody will care. That said, it still does not change the fact that if the gap is so huge then Playstation games could be sabotaged so they are similar to Xbox versions. Even if they are still great games, we *could* be missing out thanks to the quality of the xbox console.
Maybe i'm wrong and developers wont care about annoying Microsoft by putting out a better version on another console. If that is the case and these benchmark tests are correct then, whilst we may not notice a huge difference right away, by the time it gets to say 2018 and the consoles are a bit more dated and devs know how to get the best out of the system there will be a gulf between xbox and playstation games.

That is a massive difference! Only the most dedicated of Xbox fans could possibly buy this instead of the Playstation.
Should people be laughing at Xbox or worried?..... That is a very interesting question. Why? Well, there's a chance games will only be made at Xbox level so as not to rock the boat. Microsoft wont be happy with companies who put out far better versions on another platform. So, we could all suffer thanks to Xbox being a pile of shite.
