I've heard it said loads of times that we should have started a total rebuild of the club in the bottom division and now our chance has gone. Whilst I fully agree we should have rebuilt in a fashion that emphasised sustainability and a proper football ethos from the youths and up I don't think it's too late at all.

Take a look at the players who go out of contract at the end of this season. It's a huge number of our earners.

Factor in McCoist's rolling contract and we have the chance to give him his notice now that his contract will not renew. He can see out his notice period or resign.

If we are going to seize the opportunity to get value from our transfer policy and use the training ground to its full potential we need to be ready for the summer of change that is coming.

Give us a director of football and a head coach with vision and a modern outlook. Put shared coaching practices and a philosophy in place throughout all our age groups.

We can drag ourselves into the 21st century. We are dinosaurs at the moment but we have the chance to change things.
