  1. Now more than ever. That cunt Rhegan is determined that because his scheme didn't pay off that he will now try to do all he can to humiliate and hamstring us.

Question, what are the terms of the embargo? From memory isn't it no players over 18? Well if that's the case I think we should accept because this total cunt Rhegan has no intentions of backing down now, he's nothing left to lose and is settled on causing as much shit to Rangers before he gets axed.

I think with a team of 18 year olds we could win the 3rd division and get it right up them. It would need to be 18 year olds from lower english premiership/ championship etc who their clubs want to farm out for experience.

Let's face it Div 3 is a part time league and a team full of super fit young guys could do the job.

I'm getting a bad feeling about all this. Even if it takes another year we need to ensure Rangers survival. The SPL clubs cut their noses off to spite their face and look where its got them.

We need to get behind Green and put up a united front. Failing that whats Rhegans address?

  2. Green doesn't have a choice it's ok saying the league needs us they won't let us die, in 3 years when we eventually get back into the SPL the damage will already have been done and teams would have started to recover all be it at a lower level, reality is they don't need us, they may be better off with us, but they don't need us if we don't accept this we will die and that is the sad fucking truth, doesn't matter how hurtful or wrong that is it's a fact.

Green will accept and I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive the cunt but whats the alternative folks? Is it worth the risk to find out?

Fuck knows my heids melted wi this pish.

Personally I don't want him to take the risk of refusing because that cunt Rhegan has it in for us big style and with us out of the SPL to the point where we've outlived our usefullness, i.e. They can't get our money. Then I think he'd be more than willing to try and destroy Rangers with this sanction.

What was the original embargo, can't sign players over 18?

  3. No one can make you sign you rights away, especially under duress. If Rangers sign a piece of paper that stops them from signing players that stops them from being a competitive business then its violating their basic rights as a business.

I could very well see Green doing this because what's the alternative, 2 seasons in div 3?

  4. Get into Division 3 signed sealed and delivered then immediately challenge the embargo. Doesn't matter what you agree to the law takes a very dim view on signing things under duress.

By that point Rhegan will hopefully have been axed and a calming influence will come in and remove the embargo. And up to the point that its dealt with in court we'll be free to sign as many players as we like in the mean while.

  5. Dumpfermline finished bottom, when you finish bottom you get relegated. I don't really see (other than the disgraceful actions of the SPL regarding aberdeen and motherwell) how they think they have a leg to stand on.

That being said I'm happy for them to be throwing more gasoline on an already roaring inferno. Legal challenges and disruption to the SPL bring it on. Can't wait to hear all these moaning taigs on football phone in about how they got pumped out of europe because the league didn't start until november :)

  6. Well what I mean is tomorrow is the last day that they can do anything about this situation. If they pick their Club 12 and it isn't the Gers then they will have resigned themselves to accepting what will come as part of losing Rangers to Div 3. Personally I hope its just a boring "all in favour this teams say aye, all in favour of the other team say aye" and thats it done. We can move on and get on with it. If they don't pick a team tomorrow I can't even see the leagues starting on time.

  7. SPL clubs are meeting tomorrow to decide who gets the Club 12 place. So it will either be an embarrassing u-turn and Rangers will be allowed back in or they pick Scumdee or Dumpfermline and at last we can start to prepare for Division 3 football.

Just want it to be over this pish has gone on too long.

  8. I think at this point in time it makes more financial sense for Green to take us to the 3rd division. We dont have a squad!! So either he spends 10-15 million buying in a decent squad capable of getting 2nd spot or we're a mid table team next season and attendances would drop.

  9. They will run with us in division 3 for a year and organise change for the end of the season, keeps us out for a year only ,thus keeping the sky deal intact then it will be a 16 team top league .

I had thought about that but hope it doesn't happen. Bottom line is clubs will need to clean up their act I mean let's face it, if we do get transplanted into the top tier are all these clubs going to pay off all their debts and budget by what their fans bring in? Don't fucking think so. So a few clubs will go bust big deal.

  10. I don't think he's done anything wrong....yet. His motives as a business man are obviously at odds with the motives of the fans. Any sign that he's willing to capitulate and allow the SPL/SFA to punish Rangers so he can line his pockets will be met with angry words from Rangers fans.

  11. What happened?

Well firstly Rangers were financially mis-managed by wanna-be playboy tycoon David Murray. He over spent, used dodgy tax loop holes (which still haven't been ruled against us) then sold us to a charlatan, Craig Whyte, who from the moment he walked into Ibrox began the process of dismantling and setting us on the road to ruin and administration. Hard times indeed for Ranger fans.

Many out there are outraged that we feel we are the victims in all this, throwing bile at us "cheating bastards" and "tax dodgers deserve all you get". Here we are taking the slings and arrows for the actions of one man, Craig Whyte. A man whom should never have been allowed to purchase Rangers Football Club. A man that falls foul of the SFA's requirements for a fit and proper owner of a football club. How can we not feel hard done by that the SFA did not do their duty and block this purchase? This is one of many instances of ineptitude and corruption at the highest level of the game.

So Rangers in administration, Chief Exec Rhegan of the SFA has a decision to make. He could have been the voice of reconciliation and calm. He could have kept all parties happy, suitably punished Rangers as was demanded by other fans and kept us in the SPL. He could have driven the point that perhaps the SFA were lax in their duties and could have prevented this situation but also that there were misdeeds that rightly need to be punished and steered the SPL to a happier outcome.

Sadly Rhegan choose the path more trodden in scottish football, one of spite, anger and hatred. As Rangers fans we can hardly be surprised at this, as this is the price of being the most successful and dominant club in the country. Under Rhegans mismanagement he whips up a frenzy against Rangers and steers the SPL into expelling Rangers from the SPL. No doubt telling the directors of the SPL "Don't worry there's no way Rangers will be playing in the 3rd division...nudge nudge wink wink".

    Folly.

So Rhegan sat on high in his ivory tower is rather satisfied with himself, what a masterstroke of genius he thinks. "I can hammer Rangers but still keep their money, I can have my cake and eat it" he thinks. Sadly for him and the SPL though what he didn't count on was the actual INTEGRITY of the SFL clubs. I can see why he thought he could do what he did, he's so used to an environment where he can bribe and bully to get what he wants. He thinks to himself "I'll just throw some cash that the SFL clubs and the promise to reform the league and make things fairer. Who's going to turn down free money?". Turn it down they did though, men who sit on boards of football clubs who play in front of 500 people every week do not do so because of a love of money. They do so through a love of their club and the community in which it plays and for the love of football itself. No, bribes and bullying don't work on people like this.

A resounding 25-5 vote against Rangers being allowed into the first division and promises to block any attempt to form a break-away SPL 2.

So where does this leave Rhegan and co? Up shit creek and make no fucking mistake. Now we have the likes of St Mirren, a turkey who vosted for christmas, wailing and moaning like a stuck pig because Rhegans promises amounted to sweet fuck all. But what right have they to feel hard done by? A club who does not live off the money their fans bring in, no sir, they live off the money Rangers and Celtic fans bring in. So Rangers, having been punished so heavily, the fans can feel justified in their collective chortling at the SPL clubs about to go bottom up. What clubs like ST Mirren fail to realise is that they are only at the level they are at (which is pish anyway) by virtue of the fact they are subsidised. If they were to live off their own monies well they'd be unable to compete in the SPL. Yet here Rangers are being punished quite severely for exactly the same thing, living beyond our means.

Sorry St Mirren, Karma is in indeed a bitch.

So how will history remember this debacle? The extreme folly and arrogance of 1 man bringing a whole house of cards down around everyones heads. If Shakespeare were still around he'd no doubt make a play out of it.

So good luck SPL, you're going to need it.

  12. The way things are at the moment it might make more financial sense for Rangers to go to the 3rd division. If Rangers get transplanted into the SPL now like another poster wrote, Green would need to spend what 10-15 million to get a full squad back into actions? Plus if he goes back into the SPL with sanctions then there would be a likely hood of reduced attendances and people calling for him to go, so the affordability of a new team would be reduced.

SPL with no sanctions would be the only way. I think he could get that if he plays hard ball.
