  1. After getting access to a laptop this morning I can now confirm that bet fred have settled SPFL as positions stood when 3 Scottish leagues were abandoned, e.g. Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers are winners, a bit harsh on those who bet on Falkirk to win outright, and I can only assume in my cynical mind that there is a profit for those firms who have settled in this manner rather than declaring all bets void and returning all stakes. I say that as someone who had many wagers which included Raith Rovers, some settled and many still open and coupled with sides in English leagues.
  2. Ipswich were as short as 6/4 in December and had gone into freefall since, I.m actually hoping if that league gets played out,? That Portsmouth can win, or at least top 3. Plymouth argyle, have every chance if their league resumes , one of my bets is e.w. accumulator on liverpool Dundee United Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers, the 3 Scottish ones declared winners with bet victor, liverpool a cert, only Portsmouth currently sitting 4th can do me out of a nice return. It is going to be a long wait to see if football does return and play initially behind closed doors.
  3. I got money back in my account from bet fred , but I still don't know if this is for bets declared void or its from winnings. Trouble is I can only check 30 on my phone and being off work I don't have access to laptop or PC, to check further back. Which is annoying as I can check all my bets on my phone on bet victor. Any bet fred punters who can assist would be much appreciated.
  4. I thought the big companies would have a United front but it seems they are all making their own decisions.
  5. I can now confirm that bet victor has settled SPFL ante post bets on the placings as they stand, which means in short they are paying out on Raith Rovers as winning league 1, I.m not sure yet on how bet fred are settling, I do find bet victor stance a little bit surprising as I thought they would declare all wagers as non runners and return all stakes ,
  6. I agree wholeheartedly, but bets must be settled one way or another, so the only other option for the major bookmakers is to settle these as non runners and return all stakes, if that's what happens then so be it.
  7. I note that macbookie are not going to pay out yet on the Scottish leagues declared finished, in case of legal battles, cant find anything on other larger UK bookmakers but suspect they will take a similar view , without going into a rant about fairness, corruption, vote rigging etc from a purely gambling point of view if they do settle on ante post wagers on current league positions, I am a winner on Raith Rovers for example, but a big loser on W.B.A, albeit most of my bets are e.w. accumulators or lucky 15,s. So I do think I would come out in front. I think the English leagues will eventually play out at least behind closed doors, I doubt it will suit the agenda in Scotland to finish premier league, but you never know. Baring in mind the health issues of pandemic are a far greater concern than football at the moment, but it is still frustrating that bets placed and expected to be settled in May are now likely to be still open bets until July or August at least I still have some form of pay out to come.
  8. I have never bet on virtual racing or cartoon racing as I prefer to call it, but fuck it, after all it is the grand national., total stakes £20.00 on a few each way, I hope I break even as I need the money lol
  9. I.m actually not bothered about any gambling now this coupled with not getting my Friday night out and no fuel required, my bank balance is looking a lot better than it has in ages, I would book a holiday if there was anywhere to go. lol
  10. Some reports that England might resume playing behind closed doors in July, at neutral venues, with games on live TV every day to complete this season. Part of the thinking behind this is to give the general public something to keep them content during this unprecedented crisis. Teams to stay in nearby hotels to prevent unnecessary travel, I saw that stadiums in London were being considered as providing neutral venues but I find that difficult to comprehend as that area is the worst affected in the UK. However July is still a long time away, so a lot can change in coming weeks, not yet seen anything similar being considered for Scotland. Just putting that out through boredom, and it's a case of watch this space.
  11. At least that way I stand to get my stakes back, however a bit disappointed that a lot of my bets were on course to return a profit, the negative is and returns would have been payable at end of May , perhaps bookies will wait until June/July before deciding all bets are void.
  12. Just bumping this up as nothing else to comment on just now, I.d be interested in the views of others on how this might pan out
  13. Probably the correct decision, under the circumstances.
  14. Downpatrick today, for another small investment, I've had 2 winners on lucky 15,s on Friday and Saturday, so showing a small profit,
  15. Figure of speech, I will still go out to walk my dogs daily, & go shopping if and when required,
  16. First day of house arrest, thurles meeting on, so hopefully my small wager will bring much needed lift from all the doom and gloom.
  17. Increasingly unlikely that leagues can finish this season, as far as outright bets go I think the best way to settle English and Scottish premiership is dead heat rules, as both these leagues only have one other challenger Man City and ourselves who can mathematically stop septic and liverpool, so half your stake goes on 2 teams in each league, easy solution!!!!!!!!!, however the other English leagues could have as many as 16 teams who could still win the title so that's a bit of a minefield, and unlikely way to settle, and for each way accumulators would be almost impossible to settle, I still don't see the bookies declaring all outright bets void and returning all stakes, I await with a vested interest in the solution to this betting industry quandary.
  18. Well 4 days of racing will help to take the mind off the doom and gloom, especially if able to pick a few winners,
  19. Irish meetings still on, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I think.
  20. Horse racing in u.k. suspended from tomorrow, not sure about R.O.I.
  21. If no more football? I wonder how the bookies will settle all outright wagers on u.k. cups and leagues or Europa and C.L. i don't see them declaring all bets void and returning all stakes, but it will be interesting to see how they as an industry deal with this.
  22. Neither of us got the winner in that race but 3 out of 4 is good at any meeting never mind Cheltenham.
  23. Well done on treble, I don't want to jinx you. But if blacko doesn't win I hope palladium does
  24. I got 5/1 e.w. so got my money back, s.p. 5/2. Will stick it on blacko later on
