  1. Let's be sensible - no manager is going to let an opposing team win a game. With the rate they get sacked they can't afford to, so these conspiracy theories don't work. Hopefully they will go down but I hope it is by more than 12 points so he can't use that as a excuse.

  2. New signings should not really be necessary. How many world beaters are there in Hibs team? But we weretold by some of the experts on this site that Hibs had a shit manager who didn't have a magic hat. How stupid ate they feeling now? If the team are coached properly then things will come good. This is a test for Warburton and anything less than a win on 28th will be disaster.

  3. It's not just him who will use it as an excuse. His supporters in the media will as well. I remember last season when the Daily Mail said that he had surely earned the right to manage a premiership team, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

  4. side note unbelievable how many modern day footballers go bankrupt given the cash they have been on. David James was the main one I couldn't understand

I suppose that the more you have, the more you spend. Added to the fact that most of these footballers aren't that bright and won't understand what they are investing in.

  5. Who says the 11 tier, conference is 5th tier. But you would prefer if we were fucked over time after time. I wonder about some of the people on here at times, some come across as taig factor 10.

First of all, stop throwing terms like taig round to people just because they disagree with you. Secondly, we are not going into the conference. Why would they let us in? Which team would you get rid of in order to allow us in? Which team would you refuse promotion to in order to allow us in? It is not fucking happening. Pointing out facts does not make anyone a taig. We should be looking at the battles that can be won, not living in some sort of daydream.

  6. Also, were not fucking going to England. Not now,not ever.

People need to drop that,it's embarrassing.

Absolutely. I wish people would stop going on about how they want to go to the 11th level of English football or something. It is not happening, it would not be allowed to happen for Rangers or anyone else. It's not even up for discussion.

  7. I think he could possibly turn things around at the club and get the players to start playing with a bit of belief.

I don't think there is any evidence that he could do that or that he even believes he could. He is only interested in clubs who can keep him in the signings he is accustomed to.

  8. I would say he is possibly finished at chelski, but no way is he finished in football. He'll move to another club and do wonders in the first few seasons.

The Aston Villa job is vacant at the moment I think. Do you really think he could do a good job with the resources available and without all the magic that a chequebook can buy? I certainly don't think he is capable of meeting such a challenge.

  9. You could have picked a better example than Darlington with their history! They obviously want to do something for a place that they have an affinity too. They don't seem to be doing much wrong and its hardly a Hornchurch/Stamco situation. I'm sure most fans of a non-league team would rip their hands of if the same offer was made.

I know fans of one team at least who would be delighted to have them on board. :)

You're wrong, I picked a great example. Darlington is a club owned by the fans, genuine football fans, who had to pick up where a disastrous chairman left them. They are a real fans team, unlike Salford City, bankrolled by millionaires, whose expenditure far exceeds the money generated through the turnstiles. I don't want non-league football to become the plaything of sugar daddies, where teams like Salfraud have an unfair and unearned advantage over Warrington, Darlington, Marine etc.

  10. I'm a non -league football fan and I can't stand Salford City. If their example is followed then non-league football will go the same way as the Premiership with clubs spending money they don't have to buy success, like Chelsea and Man City. I really hope that a proper team, like Darlington, gets promotion from that league.

  11. He had a lot of decency. When he became Everton manager, they had been in Liverpool's shadow for a long, long time. At the beginning of the 1983-84 season, a sizeable minority of Everton fans campaigned for him to be sacked and some thugs even attacked and vandalised his house. By the end of that season, those same thugs would be denying all knowledge of it and going on the march with Howard's army. He deserved his success for the dignity he showed in the face of such adversity.

In the mid 1990s I was getting a train from Liverpool to Nottingham and Howard Kendall was sitting in front of me. I think he was probably going to Sheffield as he was appointed Sheff Utd manager a couple of weeks later. The train started getting full and there were no seats after it left Manchester. Howard stood up to let an old woman have his seat, something I should have done myself. He had no airs and graces about him, just a very nice and decent man.
