  1. I'm conflicted about even thinking about them again, but it can't do any harm to remember exactly how they chose to shaft the fans as well as the club.

The financial security, career considerations, etc. are all very understandable reasons for reluctantly leaving the club. Even disappearing as quietly as you can, like McGregor, wasn't the worst for me. He's a footballer, not the brightest tool between the sticks; what's he going to say to justify depriving the club of a transfer fee to get more for himself? McCabe...he's playing every week at a standard higher than anything in Scotland, we apparently have some kind of compensation for him today - I wish him luck.

As others have said about why Naismith is different - the press conference. Being so monumentally thick as to use the same lies that were being thrown at Rangers fans because your PR pricks told you it was ideal justification. Devious, dishonest, self-serving little bastard. Never playing again isn't enough. In fact, if the SFA come looking to use Ibrox while Hampden is out of play, we should make it a condition that Whittaker and him aren't allowed in the squad.

  2. Admit it Al, you're just trying to get Ally the sack asap! :P

On this I agree with you. He is awful, unfit, an indictment in human form of where we currently are and I wish we hadn't signed him. One of the reasons I'd be willing to give Ally the whole season to improve is the fact that he didn't resort to a whole new team of guys like Kevin.

But he can be effective now and that is much more likely as a starter. The away games so far, even the QoS game, have seen us struggle by not having enough threat closer to the goal. When Little plays, he constantly cuts in and adds to McCulloch in front of goal, lately it's been Lee on his own and Shiels going missing between playing up front or behind.

Not sure about McCulloch being his partner though - risking even more ridicule, Sandaza would probably have had more joy alongside him. I'd even try Gallagher right now, a striker not trying something different than being a poacher in the centre of the penalty area.

And there's the added bonus of dropping a senior player to give him a start - consequences for playing as shite as that should be compulsory.

  3. Clearly. I just don't think some people appreciate how difficult it is. We're on tiny pitches, there's little room for manoeuvre and the opposition are as happy to play the man as the ball, safe in the knowledge they'll get away with it.

Our players simply aren't good enough to play pretty, tippy-tappy football in these conditions. And that's no disrespect to them, Barca would struggle FFS.

Having said that, we will get the hang of it, but it will take time. Luckily, I'm patient.

True - it's a constant that we are awful at turning possession into chances. It all sounds like excuses, I know, but even the pitch was terrible today. Crap crossing and passing are almost excusable when you've no confidence that it isn't going to bobble right before it gets to you.

  4. The one on Alexander was vile, right in front of me. No attempt to play the ball. How a red wasn't given I'll never know.

As for the challenge on Black, people get the jail for less!!

I swore in front of my mother at seeing the Black assault. Don't even think it's official leniency by the refs, they're just shit.

It's a worry for the young players; Aird might well have got more free-kicks, maybe even seen their right-back sent off, if he'd made more of going down.

  5. Because we couldn't get in there penalty box and when we did there was half a team ready to throw themself in front of the ball.

I'd seriously consider asking the team just to sit back and invite the opponents on to us to open up a bit of space for us to attack.

And if the ball wasn't there they launched themselves at anything wearing white.

The point about getting teams out is completely spot on. It doesn't even take sitting back and waiting for them, just keeping the ball for as long as you need to. In Scotland more than anywhere else, the players are so shite and thick that they lose concentration and discipline and end up heading towards the ball like zombies.

Unfortunately, we have the same infection, resorting to the long punt before the space is there.

  6. You would imagine a bit of professional pride would kick in at some point, wouldn't you, even if they're only looking out for themselves?

So true - and after the pride, it just can't be enjoyable to play as pish as that. Today wasn't as bad as what's gone before. Lack of professionalism, or fear of failure?

  7. There would be someone out there who would have a crack - anybody with a decent training regime would fancy their chances once he got the players fit.

Always puzzles me to hear that 'nobody would want to come to us' line, with the transfer ban, SFL3, etc. cited as reasons. Apart from the prospect of future success at the biggest club of his career, any decent manager should fancy his chances given the squad and the level of opposition.

  8. So many players deserve to start this game after last night. If Shiels and Black both miss out, I'd like:

    Alexander

    Faure Perry Cribari Wallace

    Mcleod Hutton

    Argyriou ___ McKay ___ Aird

    McCulloch

I said the other day I didn't want to rush Aird into the starting line up after the Montrose game. But last night showed he's more than capable. Just think when we've got Mckay, Shiels, Aird and Templeton to fight for places.

I'd agree with this but I've a feeling Ally might go with Crawford instead of McKay or Aird, if Shiels doesn't make it.

Add Little to that line up behind the striker and we'll finally be giving young attacking players games and confidence :)

  9. To be fair, BP9...I don't think ANYBODY on here (apart from dark side infiltratrators) is what you could term "Anti-Ally"

Mr McCoist deserves kudos for the performance against Motherwell, just as he deserved brickbats for games we played rubbish. The buck stops with the manager in both cases, and I am sure that every Rangers supporter wants Ally to be a success as our manager.

Exactly - I'm sure that every non-wum here will think it one of the greatest achievements in our history if Ally is still here to win the 'top' league again.

It's actually really sad that some rm members can't seem to tolerate criticism of Ally and the players after some of the most painfully inept performances in living memory and against part-timers - is this supposed to be Pravda? One excellent, exciting and cathartic performance would seem to me to be a reason for celebration before getting on here to call out supporters who upset you.

Thought Faure did well enough when he just had to defend too.

  10. You started a thread to tell us there's nothing of interest in his blog?

    K.

Can't understand that we still get updates about him here. He's obviously only still going on about us because he keeps getting a reaction - shit motives for journalism but worse that people give him what he's looking for. Just ignore him please.

  11. Alexander

    Argyriou Perry Faure Wallace

    McKay Black McLeod Shiels

    Sandaza McCulloch

On the basis that somebody needs to be dropped - Ally telling them they've been an embarrassment doesn't seem to work. 4-4-2 to give them a chance to look like they know what they're doing, modern tactics look like rocket science. Two up front, with Sandaza doing a Boyd, if he can be arsed. If I could find a definitive left-back among the youths (or if a search party could find Darren Cole), Shiels would have been dropped and Wallace moved to midfield.

And a sniper on the roof for the first Alexander/Defender punt to nobody.

  12. I hope I'm not paranoid thinking these attacks on our manager are influenced by outside shit stirrers. But it would have to be extremely well organised and on a huge scale.

Because if these people refer to themselves as Rangers til I die, and mean it the same way as I do. Then I honestly feel lost for words.

It's ridiculous. But I've had this argument so many times this month and I just don't see the point. All this shite does is destabilize our club. And we would have nobody to blame but ourselves for our downfall if these views become the majority consensus.

I'll show my loyalty on Sunday at Ibrox with 50,000 like minded Bears :21:

But tonight is for sulking :anguish:

I wish I could be as continuously optimistic and uncritical as you while supporting the club, Al.

Harsh to dismiss the worries of fellow supporters as "shite", or suspecting they come from "outside shit-stirrers", especially having witnessed the last two performances. There will be plenty of them with you among the 50,000 showing loyalty on Sunday, just not being like-minded. Seems perfectly allowable to me.

  13. akes you realise it's the one position that we don't have a automatic 2nd choice for.

Who's coming through from the youth teams at LB?

The one position where there's not a natural replacement in what has been the first team squad so far.

Matty Clarke is the next left-back I can think of right now - can't see why he shouldn't play.

  14. Why do people post this shite on here? Don't give these bitter hacks the oxygen of publicity.

Exactly, probably just counts as justification in his mind, boosts his readership figures by 100% and gives him some sort of obsessed pleasure reading about himself here.

Hi Glenn - Jim Traynor sells more papers than you. Jim. Traynor.

  15. I spoke to my Stepson is a Chef who works in the DW Stadium at Wigan...

And Martinez manages to keep a team with 4 Scottish (sort of) first-team regulars in the Premier League too, he should get manager of the year for that achievement alone. McCarthy apart, they're not that young either - if you're fit enough, not being able to learn or get better with practice at a certain age just doesn't hold for me.
