I would have agreed with you a lot more before the start of the year. Scottish football has been pish for the longest time - and we haven't had the best track record of giving young players a proper chance in the first team. If guys like McCabe had the opportunity to go and get a decent education with playing time too (take note, Danny Wilson), with money coming to Rangers to invest in the future, fair play.
But now? The likes of Ness and McCabe must realise that they have the chance to stick with the club during the worst of times, be at the heart of the team, and still be young after the years it takes for us to be competitive again. Wherever we play, the attention and focus will be the same, if not greater. Sticking with us now can make you legends forever.
The other two deserve every bit of the shit they're getting for that disgusting, self-serving press conference they gave. If they'd been honest enough to say that they don't trust Green, or that they don't want to deal with the uncertainties about money any more, or that they don't want to play outwith the highest level (delusions of grandeur, Whittaker!) - fair enough. But the snivelling, patronising, PR-coached pandering to the very people looking for more ammunition was unforgivable.
