Why was there no bidding war. To be sold for £7.8 million is pish. Anything less than £10 million is loose change to even the smallest Premiership club. If cuellar wanted to go we should have officially announced he was available for transfer, then wait for the bids. Surely the clause in his contract is for a minimum amount. :angry2: How far have we really come in the last year? We still lost the league, doesn't matter whether it is by one game or 10 games. Granted we won the league cup (just) and we play Q O S in the Scottish Cup but considering the way we have played lately that is no given. Team selections have been crazy at times, we play with Boyd Novo and JCD against St Mirren when we have to win and score 3. We have to win tonight so we drop Novo and Boyd!! You cant say they were tired cause they have hardly played a full game. There is no denying Ally Mc coist's enthuasim but is Walter still the man. Does Ally have it to take over with Walter being a general manager type thing or do we get someone in with more tactical nous to work with Ally and Kenny.

Yes he was IMO Apart from that the difference between PLG and Walter Football is....Walter knows the Scottish game and how to win in it! Apart from Cuellar and Weir their record in buying is pretty much the same. I give you, Broadfoot, Gow, Webster, Mculloch, Cousin.

Just a thought. Both clubs have already won their league cup competition and both play in their associations cup final soon. It looks as if our league challenge has bit the dust whilst they just avoided relagation. So in their first full season as manager of their respective clubs they could finish with the same haul. Walter just as good as PLG or as french football is higher standard has PLG had a better season. I know obviously our uefa cup run cant compare to them as they never qualified but still an interesting thought.

Surely if they lose any win would do us.

:angry2: Was it just coincidence that as soon as he came on St Johnstone scored. Completely lost his man in the box. Thought Smith had a good game overall considering he hasn't played much 1st team games. Was he took off to save him for next week.
