  1. Thanks Guys!

    That is why WATP!!

The secret is to have things planned and to have an answer to there every comment........I commented that Rangers have never been that embarresed in their 141 year history, half expecting him to come back with the 7-1 shite.......That is where I would have said Thanks for recognising we are the same club with the same history, then gone on to Clyde history. As it happened he never.

So did you know he was going to call you infantile? Your reply was brilliant. I was listening as I was driving home and I burst out laughing when I heard it. Well done, you kept your cool and got your points across well and they resorted to name calling because they knew they didn't have a viable argument - how infantile! :-)

  2. Listening to Radio Clyde from last night, Mark Guidi's comments re St Mirren are disgraceful

Yes, Guidi seemed to get extremely hot under the collar and was aggressive towards anyone not agreeing with his views, very strange for someone not personally affected by the situation.

  3. Ally taking his opportunity to fight his corner and get the fans on his side after a positive result - puts the ball firmly into Mr Green's court to respond on bringing new players in. Ally was quite right to mention the fact that he only had a few days to put a team together, not an easy job. Well done for today's result given the press this week.

  4. ......Talking exclusively to the Gazette he said “I think that’d be a disaster. Rangers are huge and could weather that storm but I don’t know if there are any other clubs in Scotland who, if they were faced with the same challenge, could recover. It’d be very, very wrong and foolish to think they have to do the same to other clubs that they did to Rangers. - He's telling the SPL/SFA that although they tried to destroy Rangers, they failed because we are too strong for them. He is also reinforcing the fact that their actions were 'very, very wrong and foolish',

“ I would definitely not want this to be a precedent for any other misdemeanours and of course there will be as there is no chance in the world we won’t see other Scottish clubs fall foul of the financial difficulties. - He is being clever here, it's a challenge to them as they will have to justify their decisions if they do not enforce the same sanctions on other clubs, and if they don't, they will basically have to admit what they did to us was wrong. By adopting a conciliatory approach, siding with the clubs who fall into financial difficulties he will gain their support and weaken the campaign against us.

With league reconstruction the hot topic on the lips of Scottish football Green took the time to urge authorities to take their time when making any decisions.

“Reconstruction is the real key now but for all of Scottish football and not just for Rangers . The powers that be must get it right this time and we can’t keep messing. Whatever we do has to be well thought out. I don’t think from my discussions that whether the configuration is 12-12-18 or 18-12-12 or even 14-14-14, I think there are pros and cons for all proposals.

“However the concern for most people is that it isn’t rushed through and we don’t have a situation where we change in haste and then repent in leisure because there are lots of things that need to be done.

“We need to get rules right, corporate structure and governance right. Who is going to administer this business, sponsors, broadcasters. There are lots of questions and not about who is in each division.

“ I firmly believe that’s a secondary question as the primaryis all about structure and governance as that needs to be in a way where its transparent and all the fans and all the executives can understand what the body is and what format they are playing in.” - He is acting as the voice of reason here, if they pull back it solves the problem of Rangers being stuck in the bottom 18, if they push it through for next season and it's an epic fail he can say 'I told you so'. He looks good they look like the clowns they are, especially to the sponsors and broadcasters and don't be kidded, Sky will have a big say in what they want the leagues to look like.

Yes, Mr Green is being very clever here, there's more than one way to skin a cat!

  5. The crowd at Kilmarnock was only 6,500, which would maybe explain it. Some are saying its the lowest they can ever remember. Reckon they were up all night poring over the Rangers prospectus.

Can someone let me know why they are boycotting SPL matches, are they showing solidarity with us.........or have the weans grown out of their school uniforms again?

  6. With our recent poor form, and a distinct inability to defeat 3rd Division teams, not to mention Charles Green coming out in support of Ally, is it possible it's all in the plan?

With the SPL desperately missing us, and Charles' promise last week that we WON'T be going back to the SPL, could it be possible that he's trying to force their hand, and get these reconstruction talks started as soon as possible?

When you think about it, the SPL must be thinking their 3 seasons without us could actually be a bit more if our current run of form keeps up This may be the Ace Charles needs to force through reconstruction. On OUR terms.

And Naw, I've no been drinking! I just see Charles Green as being a very shrewd person who would do anything necessary to get the Rangers back in the top league, but only if it suits him and our club.

I think you might be onto something here.......sorry, I meant on something!

  7. It really wasn't so much what he said, it was the way he said it  Because not for one moment did he infer that we were a bigger club that Manchester City, but he sure will have the filth spewing from their arses at the comment AND it was a statement he can defend against anybody that questioned it.

He would have been brilliant on Benny Hill show or the "Carry On" movies with his double meanings...fucking legend :7325:

    :matron: Oh, Mr Green! :cgreen:

  8. I think it's actually quite creative and people are taking offence over nothing.

The producer is obviously a fan of Mad Men and took inspiration from the opening credit scene of the show which depicts the character Don Draper falling through various metaphors much like the club official is seen to be in the BBC scene.

It obviously offended Ally McCoist, who was the subject of the montage, and the Rangers Board, therefore the complaint is justified.

It is not dissimilar to the banner reported to the SFA, in that it could be seen as depicting the death of Rangers. There are no sectarian undertones, however, it is negative imagery on a topic that is currently under discussion as part of the commission into EBTs. Imagery is very strong in reinforcing the public's views on a subject, as those within the media and advertising industry fully know, and therein lies my issue with the BBC.

  9. Is this their response to the complaints over them constantly referring to us as Newco during a match earlier in the season? Pretty sad if it is.

We pay our TV licence to watch our team and as fans of Rangers we should not have to put up with this negative imagery which can only detract from our enjoyment of the game. More importantly, our manager, who has been under more pressure than any manager in Scottish football ever, should not be made the butt of sick jokes like this or from personal attacks from so called football journalists on BBC Radio Scotland.

Ally McCoist said last night after winning the game 'This is a very small step in what will be a long road'.

I'm glad to see that Rangers are going to fight every step of the way whether it's on the field of off it.

  10. Usually don't have a lot of time for Motherwell fans but most were very gracious in defeat last night, well on my FB anyway, one even going as far as saying the only bonus of the night was getting to see exciting up and coming talent in the Rangers side.

Aww that's nice. I wish them all the best for for a decisive victory on Saturday.
