  1. While I like most of the song Super Rangers, I find the offending and illegal phrase distasteful as it causes the club we all love a lot of bother.

By singing the phrase in question you invite trouble to the door of the club....

I don't see why we need to sing about them at all, but when has this song caused the club bother? As someone has pointed out already, the Why Don't They Go Home song caused us a lot of bother and had no mention of the F word.....they even tried to deem The Hokey Cokey sectarian....after we complied with the banning of TBB's.....that's what we're up against.
  2. I dont understand some people on here, who say they love Rangers, and yet it doesn't seem to bother them when some assholes slag, and try to belittle our club at every opportunity. Rangers is just like family to me, they've been a part of my life now for over 50years, and if someone tries to hurt my big beautiful gentle giant of a club, then it sure as fck offends me. If these people were writing degrading lies about your Mother, Father, Wife, Daughters, or Sons, and then giving them out for every one to read, would you just say, I'll just ignore them. I think not, unless Rangers just dont mean that much to you, so it doesn't bother you.

The time for dignified silence is long gone, look were that has got us, no more of their shit, it's time to stand up for our big beautiful club, and put a stop to all this bigoted propaganda, and tell the people the truth for a wee change.

I don't understand them either. If there's an insult or an attack on Rangers I take it personally.
  3. I think we should remember when we were under attack from EVERY journalist in Scotland and beyond, that Leggo was an almost solitary voice in defence of our club, the fans, our heritage and culture. Did he always get it right? No, of course, he didn't; but he was true to us when others were putting the boot in!

No his writing is, perhaps, not the best, but he boldly said many of the things that needed to be said when there was No other voice to fight our corner. I have my own criticisms of leggo, but I will forever be grateful for his blog at a time when our club was being vilified across the globe!

Well said. He may not be the best writer or blogger for that matter, but don't forget he is one of us. We have enough enemies without the need of threads like this causing more divisions. If you don't like his style ignore his blog. It's that simple.
  4. Great to see John walking on to the park with the ECWC. I was there 40 years ago when he paraded it round the park on the back of a lorry....so seeing him yesterday proud as punch, was fantastic. It just had to happen, and as he said....he had to do it for us, the fans. Thanks John.

that photo should be sent as an attachment with your next email swally.

[/quoteThe trouble is though, I really don't think she could care less.

  6. I really salute guys like you D'Art, and the other bloggers from the CRO, The Blue Blog, The Rangers Standard etc, some I didn't even know existed until a couple of days ago. Some of the articles I've been reading are outstanding, including this one. I'm just so proud and thankful to realise that we have so many people who have made it their mission to see that the truth be told. All part of the Rangers family who will not rest until justice is done.

As you say they have awoken the sleeping Giant. I hear of more people every day, who are making it their mission to get to matches to support the Club, people who in the past may only have went occassionally. More people are taking their children. It's a joy for me to see so many children at Ibrox, children who otherwise might not have been there if this had not happened to our Club. So that's just some of the positives to come out of this mess.

Shame on those who were too eager to stick the boot in before knowing, or even caring about the true facts. Reminds me of a quote from William Paley ~ "There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is contempt prior to investigation."

  7. Without going too far into it, simply as I can't be arsed arguing with the lurking bastards on here, do you not find it bizarrely coincidental (at the very least) that within a few years of Paedophilia State FC appointing a high-ranking influential government politician, spin-doctor, war-criminal sex-pest (but lets concentrate on the high-ranking influential government politician aspect) as their chairman, Rangers Football Club are given "special treatment" by HMRC, an organisation run by civil-servants, directly accountable to the people John Reid associates with?

    John bastard Reid.

Go after John Reid if you want justice.

That bastard should be hanging from a lampost.

    Spot on! (tu)
  8. I have to disagree D@Art....Speirs squirming and stuttering is my favourite, well so far anyway but I'm sure there'll be lots more to come.

Funny how all of a sudden they have more important things to take up their time than slander Rangers, with musical recitals, wars and the like.

Enjoy your jelly and ice cream and leave the obsessive haters to their humble pie.

  9. I'm surprised that it has led to Green jumping to provide a rebuttal when we haven't heard what Whyte has said yet. Can't say I like it.

I would be more concerned if he had to wait to see what Whyte had to say. If he's being truthful it doesn't matter what anyone else has to say.
  10. That figures, he writes some great stuff.

His best was one called: First they came for The Billy Boys..........

It was like he could see the future, cos it all came true. Can somebody re-post that please? it was a few years ago, but it was one of those things you read, that stays with you for the rest of your life, believe me.

The guy is so talented. All new members from last 4 years should see this, and also remember when it was written.

    Get it posted admin. :praise::ulster::21:

    No Surrender

    Rab

I agree with that Rab. A fantastic article from Dartagnan. I think it was one of the first I read on joining the forum and one of the best. I could see it happening at the time. Unfortunately we were accused of being paranoid even from some on here. I couldn't believe how some couldn't see it even when it was being pointed out to them.

The drip drip effect had served its purpose with even some of our own believing and accepting the lies, negative stories and images that were being fed to the public on almost a daily basis for years. So I suppose in a sense it's no wonder some people fell for it, every newspaper they picked up, every radio station they tuned in to, every Scottish News programme were at it.

The article should be pinned for everyone to read and never forget.

  11. Like many others, I had never heard of Mad Men. That's not surprising when recent viewing figures show a paltry 47,000 watched some of the latest series.

Wikipedia notes the themes of Mad Men:

"Mad Men depicts parts of American society and culture of the 1960s, highlighting cigarette smoking, drinking, sexism, feminism, adultery, homophobia, and racism."

    In summary, a programme:

    - unknown by many

    - with pathetic viewing figures

    - and themes which we'd be arrested for in Wee Eck's Brand New Scotia

was felt appropriate by the bigots at BBC Scotland for the sole reason that it gave them the opportunity to have a kick at Rangers and give their fellow diocesans a cheap giggle.

If no apology is forthcoming, then BBC Scotland should get a ban. And if we do get an apology, then BBC Scotland should still get banned.

Agree......an apology is not enough. Is this not the same guy who was responsible last year for manipulating a clip to make out Ally was laughing at sectarianism? If we don't nip it in the bud it's only going to get worse, as if it's not bad enough already.
