FFS this is fitba.. Its no complicated, especially no in Scotland.

Look at Everton, West Ham, Crystal Palace, incoming managers have all had immediate success doing the same thing. Set up a team defensively, stop conceding silly goals. Then build from there.

I wouldve hated to be a Rangers defender yesterday, way too exposed.

It’s complicated when Rangers try to play it and gets really messy when Miller is given a years extended contract and the same arseholes sign Jack and Dorrans as the answer to our problems.

Alves jogged beside Murray and let him get inside to pass the ball off to Stevenson and he never even tried to tackle Murray

The post was about the whole defence.

The midfield was missing when the ball was played back and Alves was the one blocking the pick your spot shot with nobody to stop me, you just don’t get grown ups football do you.

    Everybody looks organised against us.

Can’t say I ever feel we look organised against anyone.

Lots of schoolboy-like running around, with folk being on one wing here, another wing there, dribbling the ball across to where we want it, rather than passing it (except where there’s a chance to play a 65 yard diagonal, where winger, fullback & ball all appear in the same place at the same time!).

    I could go on.....

It makes you wonder who is actually running Rangers, all the previous managers talk a good game but then the team plays pish.

Imo the problems go a lot deeper than the managers and maybe the Miller scenario gives a clue to the problems, who knows.

He's pathetically bad. He seems to think he can just stroll this league when in actual fact, on current form, he's barely good enough to get into our first team.

Which paints a bleak picture of our overall quality.

Their first was a shite clearance, their second was an unmarked player despite us having 2 more defenders than they had attackers, third John jumped out the way of.

Hibs' goal was down to a defender.

    Ross County's was as well.

The last five goals we conceded should've been defended better.

Was it fuck, the midfield on Wednesday and today did not mark properly and that is the biggest sin of Rangers players, they don't know how to mark a team out of the game, although they can do it, just watch a rerun of the Aberdeen games!!.

You have been the biggest offender of an agenda against Alves, but when you look back the defence it has always been shite and always been left exposed one way or another whoever is brought in, but the penny doesn't seem to drop for a lot of fans on here venting their anger on individual players and to quote Brain Laudrup " I'am not the only player in this team, it's up to every player to do something", he was venting his frustration at the shite tactics and attitude at Ibrox and it hasn't changed much.

The defence are pretty shite to be fair but otherwise that’s a good post and agree with the gist

Yes they are and have been under the last three managers also, it's a team game and yet the fans build some players up and down others and just don't realise it's the sum of the parts that make the total.

The first St Johnstone goal was similar to Hibs goal on Wednesday night, the midfield not marking along the 18 yard line properly with McCrorie and Jack marking fresh air today arriving too late, but a lot of fans think they can do nothing wrong while Alves is a prick.

  7. It's the Rangers fans that don't get it, Rangers now and for the foreseeable future are going nowhere and fans can slag individual players all they want, it's the best we are going to get.

The midfield is a joke and also the forward line, we had about two shots on their goal today and that has been an occurring statistic under the last three managers, we are not setup to score goals and yet fans call out the defence as a problem!!!.

If we don't get a proper manger backed by real money then it's more of the same for years to come and you can spit your dummy out all you want taking it out of any new players isn't going to solve the problem.

Some of the comments on this thread are aids & not the good kind of aids.

As for "we should appoint a manager first" ... I'm not sure you understand what a DoF does.

We all understand, a man who has never managed a football club at any level gets to forge our future, give it a rest ffs.

BA is right, another smoke and mirrors job to deflect from the real reason that this board are so inadequate in running a football club.

If in a situation that you are suggesting and it goes tits up, we will have to sack both him and the failure he has picked as manager, not to mention any other of his fantasy football methods.

After all it hasn’t hindered the scum.

It's not like he plucked him from obscurity.  If I remember correctly, a few English clubs were looking at him but there were question marks over his ability to cope with the more physical British game.  Still, credit where it's due as he's the best defender I've ever seen in a Rangers jersey.

Yawn, you haven’t seen much have you.

Amazed at how many caps he's got for Portugal.

Not impressed with him one bit since he's joined.

Don't worry he will be playing at the world cup against the worlds best, while we struggle against shite SPL sides and clowns come on here and berate him, just about sums up the shite supporters Rangers have these days, too many years in the lower leagues have made them lose their grip on reality.

I think hes far better than some seem to realise. I guarantee Wilson or any other Cb would pick him to play alongside over any of the others we have, or have had for the last 5 years.

Hes prone to errors but hes havin to deal with two fullbacks who clearly cannot defend. He wins most in the air. His reading of the game and distribution is usually good.

Where was the midfield for the first goal, ball watching!!!.

Please could you link where this 7 year plan can be found.

Rangers board have 2022 Vision as they aim to get 'back to the very top' in time for club's 150th anniversary

INTERIM chairman Paul Murray said the new board had a plan for Rangers to be "back at the very top" in seven years time despite revealing losses of £2.6m for the final six months of 2014.

Here is extract from the daily Record, just google ‘Rangers seven year plan to get back to the top’

When King and Murray took over Murray stated it was a seven year plan to get back to the top  with perhaps winning a cup and doing well in the league after about 3 or 4 years. It was right at the beginning of the take over, you will have to look at that periods media.

    The alternative is????

A car crash takes money to sort, new manager, new players and we are living on pay day loans, there is no alternative, basically we are fucked for years to come but one alternative is to get people who can actually run a football club.

Choosing Pedro was pure fantasy and we don’t have the money to dream, these dreamers have to be chased out of the club before it’s too late, surely even they must know that they have hit a brick wall with nowhere to go.

I was only speaking about a bad result on the night would probably mean the fans will turn on the board if it is a defeat.

Maybe the fans near the Directors box will give them the verbal assault they deserve regardless of the score, but I think it will probably take a bad result for a big number to fans to get involved.

I have never wanted King and PM back at Rangers and could not agree more about the state of our club at the moment.

The fans have only themselves to blame, even reading some of the shite posts on here about certain players being good, you would be hard pushed to name two good players in this squad and the dropping of Alves and the player being slagged on here as being no good, really ffs, some fans are heads are up their arse and I don't see this board crumbling like previous boards as they have covered every angle with serious debt just like they accused Ashley of doing.

I seem to remember the board getting verbals at the end of last season so they might hear some home truths if things go badly again.

Things go badly, we are fucking gash from top to bottom and not just now, for years now, nothing has changed from the wrong managers and wrong players. I had to laugh tonight watching the game on BT, when the panel all agreed that Miller is our best player, dear fuck, what a state we are in.
