  1. Cheers for that Oleg,,,brought a lump to the throat reading some of those quotes, loved the Andy Roxborough one especially.

True Rangers legend and sadly missed, seen him many times at the Gers and even used to go to Motherwell games with my then brother-in-law[M`well supporter from Bellshill] and even then in the later end of his career he was a genius of a player.

  2. A few years back after a Rangers-Celtic game, the spokesman for the Catholic Church in Scotland hit out in the press about anti-catholic songs being sung at the game. Rather surprisingly, the journalist interviewing put his head above the parapet and asked his views on the sectarian songs emanating from the Celtic end. His response to this was along the lines of that was not his or the catholic church's problem or issue to raise, they were only interested in challenging sectarianism directed against catholics.

Quite a shocking statement by the spokesman for the catholic church to make IMO but it does raise an question, who in fact does raise the issue of anti-Protestant/Rangers discrimation and bigotry in this country?

Rangers: quite happy to say nothing / not get involved in case they get any criticism as a comeback

Politicians of any party: no chance, to worried about losing the catholic vote to say anything contentious

Nil by Mouth: certainly should be in their domain but we all know by now that their supposed 'impartiality' doesn't stretch that far.

Church of Scotland: sit somewhere between Rangers and Nil by Mouth positions. Useless.

Press: don't need to go there do I.

It seems to me there is a definite need for a responsible and intelligent campaign group to highlight and challenge anti-Protestant bigotry in this country. Doesn't need to be an impartial body, could copy the catholic church's position on this matter.

    Agree with this also.

  3. Think of the huge amount of potential fans that are siding with the scum because of this propaganda that we're evil and they're good, think of the potential future signings, investors, or trade that are being put off.

If anyone thinks this is just something which we should forget about and not fight they are deluded. We are being heavily damaged by all of this and it's going to take decades not years to rectify the situation.

It has to stop, and it has to stop as quickly as possible or it will be more difficult to compensate for and recover from.

    Totally agree,

  4. It's been open season on protestants for some time now, Oleg.

I've experienced sectarian abuse both in the workplace and in the world outside.

Many years ago, I worked for a firm in Glasgow that was run by - and mainly staffed by - Scots catholics of Irish descent. One of the partners in that firm, supposedly an educated man, often greeted me with the charming phrase, "Alright, ya dirty Orange bastard." Since I was none of those things, I can only assume that my 'crime' was being protestant. I didn't bother with football in those days, so he couldn't even claim it was banter between rival OF fans.

Dont ever let any of those cunts call you those type of names,Dont ever accept it as `football banter`, and never walk away without letting those rancid cunts know...that, they are peado loving kiddy fiddlers.

Stop letting these rancid cunts hide behind the victim card...CALL THEM OUT !!

  5. I sometimes think i expect too much as i thought we were poor for large spells of the game and we played to Rovers strengths at times by playing the high ball rather than keeping it on the deck.

I thought Young Murdoch had an excellent first half and certainly deserved his fantastic goal.

Wallace for thier goal was abysmal and he has to lift his game.

Overall happy with result but we have to play a lot better.

We did play better last night, hence the result.

You cant expect going from playing like a junior outfit to world class in a couple of games.

I`m just pleased we now seem to be making more of what we `ve got, Onwards and upwards.
