This is the problem with sections of our support - even if (WHEN) Ally takes us back to the SPL - we will have fans like you at the first hiccup waiting to say he is never a manager - and yet the chances of winning the SPL in our first season back will be high - and yet you'll jump on his back at the first opportunity.
Listen i hope he will be able to do it but i think warning signs are there that he will consistently struggle. I wont jump on his back but i can have my opinions and if hes consistently struggling with doing the things i mentioned then ill give my opinions

The thing is imo Ally will be gone wether it be now or in the future because i dont think he has it in him to be a manager to really take us forward and have us consistently winning. He is able to get us through the divisions especially with the players we can bring in but after that i dont think hes able to motivate, train, inspire and improve these players and i also dont think he is tactically astute enough to consistently be a winner for us when were back in the SPL, he has barely got it tactically right in the third division
Of course there is loyalty to Ally after all that he has done but the amount of warning signs hes not a good enough manager are alarming. He more of a figurehead and fan leader than a manager imo. As much as i would like him to be able to succeed i also wouldnt be dissapointed if he and the coaching staff were to go and others brought in that are at the least tactically sound , motivational and encourage good football.

From what i've seen he's a decent shot stopper but a bit on the small side and doesn't really have much of a presence.
I still think he will do reasonably well for us though.

Exactly. I'd say Alonso still has another 5 years in the tank at least. £8.5M is a steal, and he's a signing that would bring Liverpool back into Champions League qualification contention single handedly.
would be a great signing and him and gerrard sitting with erikson infront would be a great midfield three but they need to invest in the defence two centrebacks and a left back are needed imo

Not really a bad price, the role alonso plays doesnt require pace and great physicality, its one he can play till about 34-35 like pirlo does at juventus sitting and passing making the team tick

If PLG was to come back this would be the time funnily enough. No big ego's in the dressing room and has the time to change our philosophy and coaching and diet like he wanted to etc.

Absolute joke. Ally you will never be a manager. You are an imposter of one. Please leave. I have no doubt in my mind another manager and coaching staff could have us playing good football and winning week in week out with the team being motivated. Ally simply cannot nor ever will provide that. The players we have ARE good enough but the manager and coaching staff are dragging them backwards

To be honest if Ally does his job properly and we get a good central defender on a fraction of the wages then we dont need him back. I would imagine most of the US teams would want him and we could hopefully arrange some sort of termination of his contract. Same with goian

back in the SPL and sit top at the start of november by 7 points. Team is full of young players with at least 3 n a half star potential , a few 4 and a half and 5 star aswell. Signed Tomas Necid at the start of the season as i thought he would be good back up to makombo and it was a free transfer. The guy is a monster! he just destroys all in the SPL.
