  1. Saw a chap getting lifted away on a stretcher after the first aiders were called over, just wanted to see if anyone knows his condition, if he's alright or that?

Have to say the response from the fans was magnificent. Could tell that something was wrong as they were all desperately trying to grab the attention of the stewards, couldn't see from where I was what the problem was but hopefully he's doing well.

  2. If O'Halloran's form can jump start McKay into playing better then it can't be a bad thing.

Competition for places is something we need, and seeing O'Halloran starting in front of him for a few weeks will hopefully bring out the best in him.

  3. I just want to see him trying something different.

I'm not convinced yesterday was him trying anything different. Gilks had to start, it's the cup, same with Hodson, he usually plays in the cup. In an old firm Wallace and Tavernier were always going to start, so someone had to make way for one of them. With Barton all but gone and Krancjar's season over that meant Tav could play in midfield doing Forrester out of a place in the entire squad.

I'll be far more convinced the manager is trying to experiment with the squad if he brings about some changes on Wednesday night.

As others have said McKay and Wallace need to be dropped, hard to see him dropping his captain but that takes the balls that I don't think he has. It's for the good of the club, I don't think he can see that.

I like Foderingham, but after that display today Gilks deserves a shot in front of a full Ibrox stadium.

O'Halloran needs to start starting soon or else that's a complete waste of money he's hardly done anything. A start against his former club could give him the perfect platform to show the manager that he can offer us that little something extra.

Again, as others have said, don't be afraid to change the formation. It'll be a packed Ibrox, the supporters are crying out for it we'll be behind you.

As for Garner. I like Garner, I was excited when we signed him, and I'd like to see him do well. I think he could be a big player for us if he gets shot of this whiney wee fanny act and just starts standing his ground instead of falling to the floor and looking for a fight constantly. I can't recall him doing this at home at all, but I could be mistaken.

These next 2 home games will give us an idea of how much we're learning from all these games that Warburton seems to be taking the positives from.

Fuck it that's only my opinion

Fuck it. I like the AL idea so much I'm posting this shit in here as well. Let's do it!!...

Scottish football is fucked due to television. To have a chance to compete at any decent level we need to come up with a way of becoming attractive to TV or finding another form of revenue to make up for not having that.

I always liked the Atlantic League, and I wish it had happened a 10 years ago. That would effectively have created a new country of 60 odd million people across 8 existing countries and the following sort of league would have been attractive for foreign TV too, I think Let's say something like this...

    Atlantic Super League

    League 1:

Rangers, Celtic, Ajax, Feyenoord, Anderlecht, Copenhagen, Porto, Benfica, Club Brugge, Brondby, IFK Goteborg, Malmo, Rosenborg, Sporting, PSV, Standard Liege

    League 2:

Braga, AIK Stockholm, Genk, HJK Helsinki, Aberdeen, Hearts, Twente Enschede, AZ Alkmaar, Zulte Waregem, Aalborg, Utrecht, Helsingborgs, FC Haka, Viking Stavanger, Brann Bergen, Antwerp.

The bottom two teams in League 2 are relegated to their national leagues and replaced by the winners of the national leagues. The lowest ranked team from each country (unless they are one of the two bottom teams in League 2) then go into playoffs with the winners of their respective national leagues to see if they are replaced. This allows each national league to have yearly opportunities for access to the super league. If both bottom teams are from the same country, then the runner up from that national league is also promoted.

Bit complicated and requires an open mind, but something like that could be workable? Each and every club there has potential to be bigger than they are given a better platform. that League 1 especially could be great after a few years.

So above you would have Antwerp, Brann Bergen relegated and replaced from the winner of their national leagues.

FC Haka, Helsingborgs, Utrecht, Aalborg, Hearts and Braga would play off against the winners of their national leagues to see if they are replaced.

PSV and Standard Liege are relegated to League 2, whilst Braga are promoted if they beat their national league winner (or you could have them exempt because they won their league and have Sporting consigned to playing the playoff match instead) and AIK are promoted.

I like this idea a lot.

I'd just have it as the bottom 4 or 5 teams in Atlantic league 2 just get relegated back to their national leagues with the best teams coming up from they leagues.

It gives an incentive for teams to win their national leagues, and with Rangers and them away in the Atlantic league it would give other teams a chance, same with teams in all the other leagues.

I really like the idea, would remove the worry that if it collapses we couldn't return to the national leagues. God idea all round.

  5. For me, yes.

Much like what others have said, he's stubborn and won't move away from the 4-3-3. It's plain to see that it doesn't work in the premier league. His substitutions just seem crazy. Game needs a bit of pace, let me bring on Niko.

I think he's been let down big time by the board. If he had decent funds he could've built a decent side that could play his way, but nope.

I like Warburton. He seems like an incredibly nice man, but it's just not working out. This season is a write off, suppose we just need to learn from it, as he would say.

No idea about a replacement. Dropping points against thistle and he'll either walk or be sacked.

Sad situation, as I really liked him when he came in and still do, but I don't think this is for him.

Also don't think the players are helping him at all. But that said how successful can a striker be when he's not getting any service.

  6. Is there anything that they, or any other clubs "fans" won't get away with?

If they storm our fans and batter a man to death is that just going to be forgotten about cause it didn't offend anyone?

Fuck that. I'd think twice about going to the next old firm through fucking fear that the police, the people put in place to protect us, would just stand by and watch if it got too heated.

When it comes to the old firm i usually just pass all this stuff off as banter, but seeing them hanging there like that with the fucking vermin just standing about like its nothing out the ordinary, and everyone in a position of power turning a blind eye just makes me sick.

    Open season on us.

Barton, Niko and McKay should all definitely be dropped, possibly Miller too.

Forrester in for Niko, Rossiter for Barton (unless he's still injured then I'd go for Halliday) and MOH for McKay. Waggy for Miller.

As for the defence? Hill and Kiernan give me the fear. Senderos had a nightmare yesterday but he might be better with Wilson. Not sure who'll be fit enough to start. Could end up being Hill and Bates!!

As far as I'm concerned, that big baldy useless bastard turned his back on our club when he purposely got sent off in that fixture.

Should never play in the famous jersey again.

Fastest I've ever seen him move was running up the tunnel to get off the pitch.

    Never again.

    Wilson and Hill, sadly.

Didn't realise they done that, glad the club is taking a stand tbh.

Aye they were pissed cause adidas kept making the home kit all red instead of red and white stripes so they gave 2 fingers to them.

Personally want the board to come out with a new statement now that the landscape has changed, or is in the process of changing.

  9. Just now, Lloyd72 said:

Hope not, they easily have the worst kits in the premier league this season.

I just meant in the sense that they had a deal with adidas they didn't like, scrapped the kits and released their own whilst still under contract with adidas.

    Nightmare situation all round.

  10. Hate it when kit talk comes around.

Everyone always goes "really wish it was adidas making the kits" then go on to say "hate it when we just get templates"

If we went with adidas templates is all we would get. Hoping for Under Armour personally or a return to Umbro, if we get new kits at all. Whole thing is a shambles. We're going full Southampton!

  11. I was fully planning on going out on Friday after work and getting the home top for the first game on Saturday, but after reading that statement there's no way I could do it now, not when the club have basically said they don't agree with it being on sale with the current agreement.

Hope it gets sorted soon, the 3 tops are belters and that grey and blue training jacket is a fucking topper.

I wouldn't imagine there is much space left in other areas of the stadium to put the bears that want those games in. I'd think we will now be selling tickets with no option of that game available.

we can sell 50k if people are willing to miss those games

Only areas that are left are family stand - without the old firm games, club deck, and a few in the second tier on the main stand but all mostly restricted view, at least that was the case the other night

Definitely not the new kit, for the reasons explained by others. I'm not actually a big fan of the new 32Red logo either; I think its too modern/comic sans-style for our kits. There was someone on here who made a blue/black hoop kit for us with the new logo. I think they were too European looking for us. I prefer the more traditional look for our kits.

    32red.png

This logo has been around since Swansea were sponsored by 32 Red. They must use the logo we have on the kits just now for football shirts, to keep it simple.

  14. Been waiting for an update from their website but there is absolutely nothing on footyheadlines about any new rangers kits the now.

Footyheadlines is a very reliable source, except the source for this kit isn't them!

I for one are calling bullshit on this.

    1. The template and picture is exactly the same as the Arsenal one released earlier, and they have got a unique template with Puma. Just a bad photoshop.

    2. 32Red have updated their logo since last season, would be a very bad business decision on their part to show an old logo for a new shirt sponsorship.

    3. It will be the more generic Puma template for our shirt, same as this season.

Forgot all about the fact that arsenal will have a bespoke kit instead of a template.
