  1. rightly or wrongly McCoist obviously took a punt with Peralta and it didn't pay off

however you cannae avoid the fact that peralta didn't have what it took to wear a rangers shirt and it was evident right from the start

never will forget his hollywood antics everytime he got tackled: was shameful and embarrassing

glad he is gone pity he can't take some responsibility for his own failings

  2. Nicky Law put in a reasonable performance tonight but his lack of challenge in a fifty/fifty situation allowed them to break down the right resulting in their equalizing goal.

Agree: law really doenst like challenging for the ball and its hurting the team

  3. when reading through the list if players I couldn't help but wonder: why were 90% of them even signed in the first place? How the heck could someone even slightly knowledgeable about football make so many terrible blunders with regards to signing duds?!

The amount of time, effort and money wasted on these players is incredible. Just think if those same resources had been put to better use.

we keep throwing money at players and keep getting duds. More diligence is needed when selecting new signings. Moshni for example couldn't even make the grade at southend united ffs

Out of the list I would keep Lee Robinson and maybe Faure. the rest can go. most ought not have ever played for Rangers at all.

  4. I agree with the OP that promotion is dooable with our squad even if it's winning all the play off ties.

Confidence in a team breeds fear in other teams and that is what we will have come the start of May. Our last game against hearts will probably be an irrelevance.

A squad of individuals who look good on paper does not equate to a good team. we all know that: its football basics.

A good team works hard for one another, is committed 110% to battling and winning each game they play in.

Look at the Livingstone players on saturday:buzzing around the pitch, all working hard for one another, always looking to attack or win back the ball if they have given it away. They were a proper team, not a bunch of individuals running about.

Its footballing basics and there's no excuses why we can't be doing the same too.

  5. I was discussing at work how badly relegation from the EPL affected some teams , Fulham , Wolves etc.During the conversation it became obvious that the parallels with us were clear, when you drop divisions the teams full of comfortable seasoned well monied old pro's can't compete with the teams full of hungry ambitious players seizing their chance of career furtherment .

no it must have been really hard for our well paid players when they were challenged on the pitch by all those hungry and ambitious builders, posties and firemen

  6. without the newcastle lads we still have a first team squad of 25 players not including the guys on loan and any possible youngsters in the youths

where mccall gets this "we dont have a big squad" nonsense is a strange one

I think he is referring to how many in the squad he would pick if he had a choice!

  7. miller: poor

    Boyd: poor

    Jig: poor

    Law: poor

    and the list goes on

the only players givng me anything to smile about at the moment are:

Robinson: he has put in good shifts and is giving it his all. Has real energy about him

McGregor: pretty solid at the back and putting in some good tackles

Tom Walsh: breath of fresh air in the team

Nicky Clarke: always gives in 110% and is perhaps the most underrated in the current squad

vuckic looks ok too and wallace at times

I bet the new manager knows the score now: new blood needed and fast. too many of the current lot aere never going to make the grade and have already had too many chances.
