  1. Did most of the SPL clubs last year not ask their fans for guidance about whether the almighty rangers should stay in the top tier? If my memory serves me correctly all clubs bar Kilmarnock told us we weren't welcome! In my eyes it was the fans of all these clubs who helped seal our fate so for that reason all I can think of is fuck off Dunfermline maybe you should have thought of the love of your own club before the hate of mine

  2. RANGERS manager Ally McCoist has paid tribute to Irene Love who passed away last night after a short battle with illness.

Irene spent four decades working for the club and was a familiar face for McCoist throughout his days as both player and coach as she continued a family association with Rangers that spanned three generations.

The family initially began working for the club in the early 1930s when both Irene’s grandmothers, Margaret Love and Mary Martin, then later her mother, Lizzie Love began as laundry staff, washing the players' strips and training kit as well as preparing meals for the directors and players on match days.

Irene joined the club in 1973, six years after her sister Tiny, who to this day acts as a guide on official tours of Ibrox.

McCoist said: “This is devastating news and our thoughts are with Irene’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Irene worked for Rangers for just under 40 years but her association with the club was a lot longer than that and she shared so many good times with us.

“She was a great character, always full of life and had a great sense of humour and we will all really miss her.

“Everyone at Rangers loved Irene and it is hard to imagine match days without her.

“I went to see her with Walter, Durranty and Laura Tarbet a few days ago and despite her illness she still had her sense of humour and her bravery was evident.

“She was a special lady from a special family and will always be in our thoughts.”

The Light Blues boss confirmed his side will wear black armbands in Saturday’s match with Elgin City and at Ibrox on March 23 in tribute to a lifelong servant of the club.

He added: “The players will wear black armbands at Saturday’s game with Elgin and also at our next game at Ibrox in her honour.”

Im glad the club are showing their respect by wearing black armbands ! It's the way it should be

  3. It won't be in for next season. We would be as well just saying we will be in the 2nd Division, either way we will be in the same tier next season no matter what happens. 2nd Division teams will be in there as well if the move goes ahead but I really can't see it being in place before August.

Hope your right because I wouldn't pur it past them to try n keep us in the lowest tier possible

  4. I don't think sacking ally just now is the answer. Imagine standing in his shoes, managing a team such as rangers as your first venture into management.. first his team goes into administration then gets fkd into the third division with more than half of your best players being released or just fking off to play elsewhere, then the illegal transfer embargo. Then the added pressure of the constant scrutiny by the mhedia and every club/fans in Scotland, that and the fact thaf the players have gone into a league where every team they play treat the game as a cup final and players who are inexperienced at all levels just punt the ball around park along with the bad tackling on as many of our players as they can. I think any manager would struggle in these circumstances.
