  1. TBF there is more mixed opinion it seems on FF on RST threads
  2. I hear you and no doubt that is a valid point However, If that was to happen then you run the risk of alienating the FF support and therefore not actually uniting the fans. I haven't checked the constitution but afaik every valid member has the right to attend and vote at the AGM. So join, attend the next meeting, change from inside the organisation and bring new members along the way.
  3. Exactly my point. Join Attend the AGM Ask pertinent questions in a calm manner Be prepared to question again calmly if the answers are not forthcoming or don't stack up Propose a motion to change the board if required Only by doing this in a democratic fashion can we claim to be united. Over the past year we have seen the Rangers Fans Working Group start to pull different factions together. The RFFF appears to have helped with this process. IMO (and only my opinion for what it's worth) this new group only serves to try and pull this apart.
  4. OR Join and vote him/them off! Surely that's better than starting another fans group which can only divide rather than unite. Whilst I really admire the OP's sentiment - this is another damning indictment of where we are as a support. The idea doesn't stack up financially. Yes, it would generate £8million for a CVA but where then is the working capital going forward? Who is the OP? Legitimate questions but when asked they have either been ignored or answered in a very dismissive manner. Everyone should agree that with everything that has gone on with our club of the past decade from Minty to Bain to Whyte and now Green then transparency is key to getting the fans onside.
  5. Even without the Green bid, it would have been a no from me. Oh the irony of calling yourself Rangers Unite, when setting up 'another' fans group. One of the positives about this whole sorry mess that is administration is that a lot of our groups have started talking and are showing signs of pulling together, but at the same time we are still divided in a lot of areas. Let's put all the RST baggage to one side, but accept that as a vehicle it is the naturally choice for a fan ownership scheme. Instead of sitting back and criticising, why doesn't everyone join, turn up at the AGM, as questions if need be and then affect change from inside the organisation! Maybe then we could claim to be united
  6. Any chance we can pin this to the front page please Admin? All for a great cause
  7. Dunfermline Loyal are holding a charity 5 a side tournament on Saturday 12th May 2012 at the Dunfermline Academy of Sport. It's in aid of Enable Scotland who help provide despite care for one of our members who's daughter is quadriplegic and suffers from Cerebral Palsy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1q5k...e_gdata_player Full details about times and format to follow but entries are now open. The plan is 5 a side, squads of 7 with 2 rolling subs. Games 10min each Thanks SGC
  8. Aye, first game switched on and pixels not working already.
  9. I was gonna move my bishop to take your queen, but the can of lager blocked the move!!!
  10. Great article, and when viewed in the context that Lennon, Hooper and Reid have not been carpeted over their comments whilst McGregor was received a ban whilst not being in the country and having the opportunity to defend himself, then the whole thing stinks to high heaven. We need to be asking serious questions about every going on at the SFA over the last three months!
  11. That's true, but if we could win our second euro trophy...
  12. Thanks for that sigs now disabled - every days a school day! As for the rest I agree 100% it's the deception that sticks in my craw
  13. I've only met the man twice and can honestly say the picture painted on here is not the same guy (not saying that anyone else's perception is wrong - just not what I've found in my limited contact). However if this is the only reason the fans cannot unite and move the trust forward then the board as a whole need to take a long hard look at it's make up
  14. Yep, and that's the reason why as a support we'll never move forward. There have been a lot of suggestions on here about getting round the table and thrashing out these issues, however the latest statement from the trust, of which I'm a member, does not indicate that's likely to happen anytime soon :-( My hope is that an open meeting is called of trust members is called where we can try and rebuild it's reputation by identifying more realistic short term goals to reengage the support and increase membership
