  1. I get the feeling we may be too early in celebrating the demise of this scheme.

The fact that it has all came out a whole week in advance gives the mhob plenty of time to put on maximum pressure to change the minds of St Mirren or Ross County ( who already are refusing to publicly state their opposition).

Today's Sun gives you an idea of how it will be portrayed as ruining Scottish football without a shred of evidence to say how this is the case.

It will no doubt be followed by a campaign to portray the two teams as puppets of Green who is out to wreck the otherwise beloved SPL.

It would not amaze me to see a change of heart next week, after a couple of superficial alterations to the scheme, followed by a statement claiming we had to back it or nest season would have been the last etc etc

  2. My 3 season tickets were £430 each in the SPL. If I remember correctly they hadn't increased in approx 4 years. This year they are £288 each. 20% increase would be £345 each. A further 20% would be £415 each which would still be slightly (3.5%) less than our last SPL price.

I can fully understand anyone's financial problems but that won't help RFC. If we supporters don't pay the money then we can hardly complain at the outcome.

I understand your point but your figures are wrong as the 2 raises you quote would only take you to the 1st division i.e. 20% this year in SFL 2 345 20% next year in SFL1 415 then 20% for the SPL = 498 and that is actually about a 16% rise on the old SPL price.

Anyway my original point still stands I cannot afford 500 for 2 or 3 games so will have to back to individual tickets. It was the same for shares in that the minimum was pitched too high or a lot more people may have bought some.

  3. A rise may be in order but 20% is steep.

If repeated for the next two years by the time we return to the top division even the very cheapest season ticket will be £500 (or £26 a match)

As someone who lives hundreds of miles away and works most weekends I paid for a season ticket simply to help the club but I doubt if I can afford £500 to attend 2 or at most 3 matches.

  4. The guy is a business man, like all businessmen he wants to make money.

I only hope with the relavations this week that he's no intention of making money from our demise, but businessmen can do these type of things.

I don't really follow all the gossip about this side of things and all I can say at the moment is, so far, so good, but everyone must keep alert as to the goings on of businessmen. At Rangers specifically and in general in society as a whole.

Sure he is a businessman so it is in his best interests to get Rangers back to the top where he can sell up and move on with a profit

  5. Sure about them not getting paid? I've heard before that the Queens players don't get paid and again today the commentator said it.

They are an amateur team so cannot be paid a wage. They may get some expenses.

  6. Of all the players who deserted us in our hour of need Naismith is the one who disappoints me the most.

Supposed Rangers man through and through.

Took full wages for how many months/years of serious injury?

Knew, like the others, he would be sold for a knock down price and would not have been expected to waste away in the bottom tier but still couldn't wait to walk out the door.

Anybody who thinks he was right to walk away ask yourself this one question. If his injury had happened nearer the end of the season would he still have refused to have transferred his contract under TUPE or would he have demanded Rangers pay out his whole contract and medical bills while he sat in the stand.

  7. Another Ally doubter. Good of you to say what Ally should and shouldn't do. Must be good knowing more about Rangers than Ally, eh?

I have an opinion on the matter and I posted it like everyone else does.

Persuade me otherwise if you think he had done a great job.

  8. This. They're just after saying that even though it was known Ross County and St Mirren had reservations, when push came to shove, they were expected to go with it.

    Fuck them :7325:

When push comes to shove they still might.

I look on the SPL like I do on the EU, a good idea initially formed for the benefit of all which turned into a monster that refuses to accept any vote that doesn't go the "right"way.

  9. I think that some believe that because Ally has operated under very difficult circumstances that he is above criticism, or that to criticise him means you want him to fail.

As a 50ish year old guy I have seen every minute of Ally's career with Rangers and as a player he was, and always will be, a hero. His refusal to accept defeat when sidelined by Souness typified him as a man in my opinion.

However as a manager I am simply not convinced he has shown the qualities needed to be a success at the very top level.

I fully understand the difficulties he has faced and firmly believe we could have won the league last year if it were not for the injury to Naismith and the sale of Jelavic ( not to mention the deduction causedby the scum Whyte.

BUT the doubts I had last year when I felt he was completely wrong to move Davis wide to accommodate Edu in central midfield have never left. When you consider the extremely poor quality of defensive player signed this year it doesn't help. Finally the 4 1 4 1 formation against the likes of Montrose is just not justifiable for a club like Rangers.

I would love to see Ally be a roaring success and lead us back to the top but I just can't see it happen and in the event he does not make it I would rather he walked away of his own volition than be sacked by Green ( who would do it without ant regret I am sure)

  10. Looks like I have been outed by dougalIQ.

    What gave me away dougal?

Forget to include FTP in my username did I?

Maybe I should throw in the odd line like "mhanky , ginger , inbred , pig farming cunts , fuck u" to show what a genuine bear I am

Is that convincing enough for you dougal or are you going to keep talking out your arse?

  11. A quote from the rebel......"but he now (green) faces a battle to keep the trust of fans after he astonishingly admitted being in cahoots with whyte at the start of his quest to buy rangers"

I mean what fucking chance have you got when this is the Pish a national newspaper will print! How the fuck was he supposed to get the shares from whyte in the first place? Are these people just thick or are my blue tinted glasses clear and it's a clear negative twist/agenda against all things rangers?

I think a better quote from the same article is

"The Ibrox faithful will also be concerned that the man now running their club would be prepared to be so duplicitous with one of his business associates even if that partner was as conniving as Whyte."

Now I cannot speak for the whole support but for my part if you replaced the word concerned by absolutelyfucking delighted it would be nearer the truth

  12. Whyte has claimed he will sue how many people without ever going near a court? The guy is a dick and if he ever set foot in Ibrox again he wouldn't walk out and he knows it.

Ally should concentrate on putting a team on the park that doesn't play like a Moldovan 5th division side and forget about who shafted who to own the team.

If Ally did walk it would be straight into retirement because who else would let him near a managerial position

  13. Not sure I see what bit isn't straight forward really...

Fran breached a contract. Injured party terminated contract. Fran is likely upset he was a Dick. Fran finds person responsible and goes to court. Tommy the taxi gets sued for damages cos he's obviously guilty, and loses his house. Well, that's how I heard it explained to me.....

    WATP

    Loses his house?

    The council won't be pleased.

  14. Agree mate i put it up for debate as bluepeter said above i don't think he would fire Ally as it might backfire, he might be doing it another way.

He can sack him after he gets a full quota of season tickets sold.

That gives the fans a whole season to watch a new man come in and walk away with the league playing better football than we have see so far.

By the end of next season nobody would care

  15. If nothing else it should be a warning to any other players against opening their gub to some unknown twat on a phone.

Can you imagine the scene if we are ruled wrong in this so we have to re-employ him on that existing contract?

The first fuck up he makes on the park, our supporters will tear him to shreds (maybe the first time he touches the ball) so it's better if he leaves and is never heard of again.

I somehow doubt he will seek to be reinstated.

It will be all about the money he can grab.

  16. If Charles Green actually has arranged another keeper and simply wants Alexander off the books then why not just say so.

A simple thank you for your services but we are looking towards building a younger team would go down far better than making "silly" offers you know will be rejected. ( assuming any of the figures quoted are accurate of course)
