Dont hold your breath that Murray Park will produce young talent coming through. Rangers FC have a poor history of producing there own.
Its all down to the coaching staff to nurture the kids through. Walter came out recently and said that he brought through young guys kids like Spencer, McSwegan, morrow, Hagan and murray, but at that time we had the U/18 captains of England, Scotland and various other international represented youths...none of them ever made it. I was there at that stage and although I admit I was not good enough to play in front of Coisty, Hately Johnstone and co, the coaching set up for the kids was nothing short of shocking. The system took a hit the minute Jimmy Nichol left. John Mcgregor and Davie Dodds were left in charge of the young guys coming through and all they ever did was abuse kids and play 5 a sides. Diets and overall football education, professional expectations etc was never on the agenda...ever. I remember a certain coach say to a player in the dressing room at half time of a BP youth team game against Celtic, that if the said player would ever become a player , the coach stated that he would join the nunnery ! And we were winning...eventually lost 2-1...not surprised with that kind of inspiration from the coach. They surely cannot expect young guys to nurture themselves. Time to get the right coaching staff in for the young guys to bring them through with encouragement and enthusiasm ala Fergie at United.

Can't believe how poor this current rangers squad are.
Apart from BF, the rest should be sent packing.

None of them are any good, wait till the summer and there will be a lot more players on the move at reasonable prices. Its always the way ! Dont Panic buy ! We will secure 2nd with the squad we already have. Smith , Coisty and McDowell have only been working with this squad for 2 and a bit weeks and we have picked up 7 points. The targets we are looking at are Gash and are not Rangers quality. Must be patient.

Clement should be fined by the club the maximum wages allowed under his contract and confined to twice daily training, seven days a week with no chance of any team selection until they ship him back over the channel for 2.5/3 million. French Twat !

Surely bears, reading some of the topics in other threads regarding poor decision making with certain players and management failures, surely Mr Bain must carry the can for such inept mistakes ? Afterall, he was the football operations manager wasn't he, and I tend to think that we are now in the current poor situation because of a lot of Bain's mistakes and poor judgement ?

Yep, yesterday was a good result, I cant imagine Smithy, coisty, kenny Mc and durranty let it go to their heads. D.U were mince ! Its ok to keep believing, but lets look forward to building something for next season, cant see the jungle jims letting the lead slip. Keep the players on thier toes and anyone that doesnt respond, Get them tae F##k.
Smith should be putting all on notice and only then will we see who really wants to play for the gers.
IE: wee Novo yesterday- he was a revitalised man, ran himself mental and positively contributed to the win.Great to see Coisty geeing him up just before he went on. Thats what playing for the gers is all about.
As for wee Burke, ok he might be an ok player, buty if it is 12k a week that he has been offered, he should stop being a billy big time and sign. Me thinks he's off.
Stick him in the reserves and give him an ultimatum, sign or else stay in the reserves. Why play a guy for the rest of the season, if he doesnt really want to be around next year on 12k a week ?

I know Kenny well, was at his wedding in the Holiday Inn many moons ago. Also know his brothers, all big bluenoses....Knowing Kenny, would be delighted with new job. I'm living in Dubai at the moment, can someone please enlighten me on the "Emirates" friendly.
Hope it is true.
One other thing, can someone please post the Gers squad for the Masters tournament that is held in Dubai in April?
Rangers are the current UK masters champions, cant wait for it.
