Caught up with Mark again whilst in Dubai for the Dubai 6's. Still a champion guy, has never changed in 18 years. (NIssy is still a strange guy)....Love the guy, was a genious. Is coaching U/16's at Villa, my question is why are we not holding onto a guy like this, along with the legends that have graced the marble halls of Ibrox?
Something that the punters hold on to is tradition, we seem to forget about the men who graced Ibrox and served the club so proudly ( something Mark was a little peeved off about ), yet we don't utilise guys like Mark, wilko, butch, Fergie ( ian, but Derek wasnea a mug ), get Mc Pherson and McCall n with the kids etc??????????
Sorry to hold onto the past , but at this time of neglect, RFC should be looking back to the men who understand the Crest !
Gordon Smith ( smudger ) was my assistant manager with St. Mirren ( dads team ) in the early 90's with that prick Hay, RFC should have bent over backwards to secure this intelligent man before the SFA got hold of him. Would have been the best replacement for that TIT Bain, every board member needs to be held accountable for what goes on at Ibrox, they need to be questioned.

Good luck in finding one as i cant see it happening unless we get a Romanov and we dont want that.
No businessman will pump money into a sinking ship and the SPL is that ship as Dermot Desmond will testify to that as well as SDM.
No more fools left in the scottish game except some of the fans who are hoping to plunge the club back into debt.
And thats the stark truth of it so get used to it.

Dado, i agree with you here and Im sorry for letting my frustration get the better of me. Walter released me in 92, but still think he is the best man for the job.
Starting to get frustrated with the inactivity by our board with backing Walter. Walters rep is taking a pounding to say the least by our fans, coz Murray isn't fronting our club like a top chairman/owner should. miss the glory days, and are desperate to get back there.
Coisty and Durranty are world class by the way !

Ally ( great influence and all round legend), Davie Cooper ( used to gub me in head Tennis under the main stand ) and Durranty ( pure wind up merchant and all class, took me out for my first bevvy), all class. Then there was razor wilkins ( borrowed his boots when we went to Italy for a tourny a- hand made in Italy, he was a size 6).

Gers blue with the red, white and blue cuffs and collar, with the famous crest on the chest. Pure class, circa late 70's, early 80's I think. just did a search and it was the 81 shirt. Or the pinstripe classic. Back to the retro look ! Loved the check blue ( McEwans Lager top ) with white shorts with the red and blue on the side of the shorts. Souness' second strip. Smithy should definately get him if available, would be a great signing for the Gers. Outstanding in big games for United this term. Would be better than anything wide we have at the moment. Mind you , would be pushing to be better than Fergie as well.

You dont think that RFC and SDM are going to openly reveal how much we are or are not going to spend on players? RFC have deals done before the press even know about it...wake up and look back through our history. We dont interact with the Press on these issues.

Its time that Wankers like PLG and McLeish got criticism as they are the ones that have brought in a squad that is not worthy of wearing the famous light blue of Rangers.
Give Walter and super Ally the time to restructure the playing squad and then you will see the difference again.
One thing that I am sick to death is all of the so called supporters like the FISH who moan like fukc all the time and blame certain individuals all the time. Get over it. SDM gave us and will continue to give us the best for RFC. Nothing else.
Someone posted on here about Real Madrid not winning anything recently considering all the money they have spent, so a massive windfall of cash is not going to fix RFC.If you think it will, you are deluded. Its good football management and spirit from the football department and TRUE HONEST Fans that sing their hearts out every other saturday no matter what the situation that will make our great club back on top.
NOT one mans money. Don't ever forget that.

If you are that disgruntled, why dont you just forget about RFC and take up some other life.....Rangers football club need all supporters to rally around the club in these tough times. Not only do you slaughter our chairman constantly, you degrade Walter Smith and you also have a very short memory of the huge success that these two men have brought to our fantastic club.
Build a bridge mate, get over your gripes and support our great club the way all true supporters do !

Right, now I know you hear a lot of shite 'I know this person who knows this person' theories on this board, but I swear on behalf of all bluenoses this is what happened with McDonald.
A girl in my Journalism class used to go out with him for a while. Im at Bell College in Hamilton, shes from Motherwell.
They're still in contact.
He is NOT a Celtic fan. This is a lie that is told by the McDonald family that only surfaced after he made the helicopter change direction. The aim of this lie was to prevent any damage to the McDonald property, cars, family etc. He was brought up encouraged to support Rangers by his dad, but he's clearly not a true bluenose in the proper sense of the word.
What happened with the transfer is that both Rangers and Celtic had bids accepted, but Celtic offered to double what we offered as wages, and hence he picked them over us.
HOPE this clears stuff up, makes me laugh when you hear Keevins on the radio stating beyong any doubt that he's a dyed in the wool Tim

Fact: Scott comes started his senior football days at a club in Australia called Cranbourne Comets as a 14 year old. I know this because I played and coached against this young lad and was gobsmacked at his ability at such a young age.
Fact: Scott is definately a Celtic Fan as is his family. His father watched the famous two goals he scored against Celtic in the Celtic club in Melbourne and dropped his pint when Scott scored the first goal.
His grandfather was in tears of joy the same night that scott scored the goals, although his grandfather supports celtic, he was happy for his grandson.
Get your facts right before posting utter rubbish about this guy. He's a good lad, shame he never signed for us though.
