Derogatory... U mean Tadger offends you? Your earlier post was fine up until you mentioned Liverpool. If you're a Rangers fan then there's absolutely no need. Enjoy the win mate.
Yes, being called at tadger offends me. I'm over 60 years old and supported the team I all my days. I don't understand why mentioning Liverpool should cause offence as that's what happened. I enjoyed the win as much as anyone.

You know, If I can't post my own legitimate views and thoughts without being called all sorts of derogatory names , I think I'll just not post at all.

I usually like you posts but that was uncalled for, only expressing my, and others, concerns.

What has been achieved on a tiny budget is remarkable, absolutely no doubt about that. However we will now be judged on results next season and I have no doubt that the management team will continue to raise the level of the first team and the infrastructure behind it. It is the duty of the board to keep MW and DW on board. This could prove to be a difficult task, remember Souness and Liverpool ?

If he did that I'm not sure he say anything.
You know , as soon as I posted that I felt saddened and you may/probably have hit the nail on the head. Which just makes me feel worse about the whole situation.

He's not exactly running for President; it's about football not the latest balance of trade figures. The media are excited and who can blame them. A non-committal reply does not sell football; sorry.
Point taken Turnberry but he should be thinking about how his comments will be perceived by the support.
-
It would have been so simple for him to say something like " it will be intriguing to see what changes are made to the Rangers team and how they will improve the team ". In other words a non-committal reply without completely avoiding the question. Not media savvy.

All that I know about the VB is what I have read on this site. However, every article I've read seems balanced and backed with facts, not biased supposition, so I'm struggling to see why anyone has issues with them. Curious.

You know, I'm in my sixties now so have some great memories of McCoist, the player. I also share the views of many on here who criticise him and totally agree he should have more sense than to give Lennon such a shining endorsement, he shouldn't have spoken about him at all as plenty others have described Lennon's attitude towards us. I did lose an awful lot of respect for him over the way he left in the end and in the way he ran us into the ground rather than admit he wasn't up to the job, if I found myself next to him in a taxi rank I couldn't bring myself to talk to him because I'd be thinking about the money he has taken out of the club but I still find it hard to hate him, I can't rationally explain that as he did cause a lot of harm, maybe it's just the memories of him as a player and the way he fought back after being dropped for Mo Johnstone.

Thanks gents.

Tannerall, have to agree, the pish soaking wasn't intentional, I remember the pish can well. Anybody know the year and crowd for the Scotland/England game when Dalglsh stuck it through Clemence's legs ?
-
Biggest attendance at Ibrox for me was against Bayern in '72. Was also at the game against England when Dalglish stuck the ball through Clemence's legs. Don't know the year or the crowd. Some big guy just picked me up and shook me when the ball hit the net. No idea who he was. I can also confirm the stories of pish running down the back of your leg, lovely and warm on a cold day.

In other words, the hating continues. Also is this some kind of denial that they have contacted the other clubs as has been suggested ?
-
I don't think there will be any talk of title stripping from the other clubs, not for any sense of fairness and justice, but because even the ones who have tried to stick the boot in will realise that Scottish football is at it's lowest ebb and without our money it will slide into oblivion. We are at a crossroads and even the worst of the haters realise this. Apart from the brain dead.

"Nope .Not as long as we are weak pussies"
At one time I may have disagreed with you but now I think you may have a valid point. I'm simply astounded by the hatred towards us, ( am I just naïve ?) and also it seems there are an awful lot of people who cannot see the damage they are causing Scottish football with their blinkered, biased, outlook. I truly despair.
-
Dear God, what more do these people want from us? Demoted to the bottom tier, prize money withheld, with all the financial implications which have cost us dearly, is there no end to their short-sighted vindictiveness ?
-
Strange that Walter is disagreeing with the vast majority of the support and former players. Perhaps he can't help instinctively defending AM but I think he has made a big mistake in getting involved in the subject because nobody is going to agree with him, and any future comments from him will be viewed with some scepticism.
-
If we're making another bid that would suggests that perhaps all is not lost and the powers that be think a deal can still be done, hopefully.

There's a distinctly bad smell about the sentence given to Broadfoot. Mclean should have been sacked and subject to FA sanctions for his previous actions. I would say to him by all means have you own views on things but don't insult folk who have paid to watch you play.
-
I can understand some of the frustration from some but I think it's a good sign that we're taking time over any signings, It shows the manager has a philosophy and a plan regarding what type of players to bring in. We need to have a bit of faith in his judgement.
-
I'm not going to say I hate Ally McCoist because I don't know him personally. However every time i think about the money he has made from the club and still continues to make, I get a sick feeling of utter disgust. Perhaps one day he'll do something to prove he really loves the club and shows he had good reason for doing what he has done but I doubt it. If he does I'll applaud him but until then I'll continue to be disgusted with him. I really find it hard to express my feelings about this.
-
Nobody anticipated we would be signing a 35 year old but I think we have to have trust in MW's judgement and give our backing to him and any new signings. After all the poor signings we have had I really don't think the new manager could bring in anything remotely as bad as we have had to put up with, especially given his experience in the English Championship.

For the first time in 4 years I feel we are at last fighting back. I think it will be a long hard fight but I have every confidence this board will keep taking the fight to our haters. I feel that I was very naïve when the level of hate was exposed back 4 years ago, I really couldn't understand it. However I've thought about the revenue we bring to all the other clubs and I no longer care about their future. They do not deserve us.
