Always had soft spot for hearts since Alex MacDonald became their manager after leaving us. There was a steady stream of ex bears who went to hearts in the 80s, Sandy Jardine, Willie Johnstone, Kenny Black, Sandy Clarke,Derek Ferguson etc.

Plastic pitches should be banned it makes for bad games.

I remember Ally as a player getting plenty of stick in the early days before winning everyone round and becoming a legend. Love to see him do it again.

I wouldn't take anything under 100/1 to win every league game till end of season. If you put £10 on rangers to win there next league game then continued to reinvest your winnings for rangers to win every saturday or midweek, after 20 straight wins you would have won over £300 assuming there average odds over these 20 games was 1/5 (probably average odds would be better than 1/5)

You can remove Derek Ferguson from that list, He sold his soul and has slated Rangers fans on numerous occasions.
Gregor Stevens was a serious bluenose, not the greatest player, but he was as staunch as they come
I Remember Gregor Stevens looked like a gentle big guy not the best player but a master of the late tackle

I count 8 ex Rangers in the squad and apart from the keeper wouldn't swap any of them for Lee Wallace,
What is the best atmosphere

Was at both the games you mention. Could only get tickets for Hibs end for Sounesses first game. We soon got rumbled but thankfully stewards let us out to march round to Rangers end as game kicked off. Just as well there were fences round the park as the Hibs fans where going mental throwing coins and spitting as we marched past giving it plenty back.Winning the league at pittodrie was a special day but I dont think there was as much animosity between us and them until the Durrant incident a couple of years later.
