  1. Unfortunately the end overshadows all his "achievements". He had no real interest in the support and did nothing to defend it when we were under attack. But if anyone attacked David Murray and he was soon on the front foot defending himself. To tell us that he did not know that Whyte was not fit to take on the ownership of Rangers means that not only did he have no interest in the support, he thinks we all button up the back.
  2. Former players appear in the media expressing their views on McCoist and supporting his management at Rangers. One of the comments was that ' he has good footballing brain'. Unfortunately that is not being displayed to any degree. His use of substitutes is a case in point. We know that around the 60 minute mark he will put on a sub. It will then get to 85 minutes before he acts again. He seems to have no imagination or understanding about how to change a game or freshen up his team. The fact that the no-one was dropped after the Alloa game says it all. I am not sure what he and his coaching staff do all week. If we have no players in the reserves who are worthy of a chance, why are we wasting time and money on them? The overwhelming picture of McCoist as manager is one of him standing on the touchline with arms folded. I cannot see him turning it round.
  3. Last night England played a very effective game. They pressed Scotland throughout the 90 minutes and never let the Scots settle. Strachan commented on this and also about the way the English players worked hard off the ball. Of course, the English team last night was a young team and is more skilled than we are. But contrast that to what we see from Rangers each week when we are often playing part-time professionals. For this Saturday, will Ally encourage our players to take a leaf out of the England game and play with some intensity, pressing hard or will we sit back and let Hearts dominate? Will our manager stand on the touchline with his arms folded? Let's see some intensity in our play.
  4. Lee Robinson on a short term deal - Why? I despair of McCoist's dealings with players. To be a young player at Ibrox must be a soul-destroying exercise.
  5. There are many comments on here about our manager's ability to truly put together a team with a clear pattern of play. Why can't he see what we all see in the teams he puts out? But what are his assistants doing? Do they have their eyes shut as well? Don't they ever question his tactics and team selection? Our managers and his two assistants will cost a decent wage. Are they value for money? Surely all three of them cannot be so clueless?
  6. Opening ceremonies are a complete waste of time and money. I am sure the resources could have been better spent elsewhere. But, as with the recent World Cup, the Mhedia will tell us that this is the best ever. Cue Ms Balding waxing eloquently with the big words she loves to use to let us know how educated she is.
  7. Sadly the team selection is real unimaginative. The league is won and there is little or no reason not to give some of the fringe players a start. But this is what Ally has done all season and what we are likely to get next season too. Depressing!!
