  1. Considering nearly half the team changed, the weather was awful and the ref was even worse I can't complain too much with the performance. The scoreline flattered them tbh and I think given only McKay was the remaining player in the front line from the previous games it wasn't surprising there was no real fluency up front. These things will come in time.

  2. Where does this moron get some of this from. He's got the mental age of a fucking 5 year old. So going from being rivals to saying he's got it easy that's why they are doing so well.

Warburton deserves a huge amount of credit and I cannot wait til Sunday, I can just hear the rounds of Allan Stubbs you're a wanker!

Edit: thanks though quasimodo, that'll do nicely for the team talk on Sunday.

  3. Agree with your points and well put across. The last 3 years have been insulting to the diehards going to all home and away games where alcohol was a necessity to get through the turgid torture that ensued.

Is attempting a rainbow flick any different than a back heel pass, or Lamela's rabona goal? There's an agenda without a shadow of a doubt and at a time when we are trying to play the most positive and attractive football seen at ibrox since the days of advocaat (minus the millions spent on players) it seems crazy that this comes out. Let's face it though it's because it's us, had one of the. Attempted that it would have been hailed as a great piece of skill without a doubt. I'd love it if other teams had players that technically gifted and every week someone was showcasing their ability but then that's from a viewpoint that isn't distorted by hatred and fear of the worlds most successful club.

Totally agree with you on zelalem, when it looked like Allan wasn't coming thoughts started to turn to "warburton can probably find better who want to come here" and IF zelalem signs then I will be the first to say I didn't think we'd get that much better. Sure it's a loan rather than a permanent deal, but it just means we are filling the gaps until we can sign better quality players permanently. It's a marathon not a sprint but in warburton we trust.

  4. I'm torn between this - yes I'd like to see exciting talent at Rangers but we need to build to the future. The squad we have is capable of winning this league so I don't want to fill the team out with too many loans, unless it is for cover.

    Our strongest 11 atm

    Foderingham

    Tavernier

    Wilson

    Kiernan

    Wallace

    Law

    Holt

    Halliday

    McKay

    Waghorn

    Miller

A second string 11 would be

    Bell

    Sinnamon (currently on loan)

    McGregor

    Zaliukas

    Need cover for LB

    Crawford

    Murdoch (currently on loan)

    Shiels

    Templeton

    Clark

    Aird

We have loans in Oduwa who can play CF/AMC and Ball who can play CB or CM

We need a LB to cover for Wallace, probably Eustace to fill out CM and another AMC/CF I think

You forgot Walsh, Hardie and Thompson for your second string.

  5. Awesome.

glad he has signed and hope he enjoys it so much he wants to stay for the season.

Yup, if it goes well for him and us it bodes well for getting deals like this with more EPL clubs in years to come.

With swift I can't help but feel if he does come on loan and loves it then he's in his last year of his deal. Maybe wishful thinking.

On the whole though I love what warburtons has done so far. Any idea what our average age is sitting at now?

  6. Question is will anyone want him, if they do will we just let him go for nothing?

Get the feeling we are looking to cut costs rather than recouperate any funds on any that leave. McKay has youth on his side and has been good so far, Walsh looks to have ability and also has youth on his side. Can't see oduwa coming here to be second choice behind templet on.....the writing is on the wall, but if he is motivated by money it might be tough to find a club that want him and can afford what he would be after.

  7. I am concerned about Nicky Clark being an option. I'm not sure if we were in a position that we had to rely on him that he would be that reliable.

What gets me is that the last 4 men picking the team have kept faith with Clark. I expected warburton to ship him out and replace him., so it leads me to believe he is doing something right in training.

What worries me about our team is if we get any injuries. Imagine losing Tav for 3-4 months with a torn hamstring, we don't have the same quality in our cover that's for sure.
