  1. The tims record is frightening this season so far only 1 game drawn the rest won

however the performance we put in today was simmlar to what the tims have done last 6 weeks

    my concern is the midfield

holt tries like fuck but i think he is only a squad player at best tav should be on a wing if in midfield and Halliday is pish

Can anyone remember any other opposition players applauding us? Kaka sticks out for me, just after he swatted aside Steven Davis and scored in a friendly at ibrox. Think it was January or February, absolutely freezing night but fairly enjoyable game as I recall.

    The full Chelsea team

I remember fernando torres and jamie carragher getting a great reception warming up or just coming on to the pitch in the second half which i found strange i was sure carragher was a tim (or maybe Celtic fans just claimed that)

we played spurs and arsenal there goalkeepers got good receptions at the copland

What was the deal with him applauding the Copland front when he came out to warm up just before the second half?

Didn't make much sense and everyone in the Copland seemed pretty baffled by It. I'm in cf5 but couldn't work out if someone was noising him up and he was doing it sarcastically or if it's just something he does.

    Just seemed a bit strange.

Probably has a family member or mate in that section my cousin was in goals for Dunfermline and gave us a slight wave in the govan corner and he got hit with what is that prick doing feinan bastard ? He was and still is a season ticket holder

There a wee boy near me in BR2 who swears like a trooper - was quite funny against Aberdeen callig them all the sheep shaggers under the sun. This wee kid is lucky if he's 8 or 9.

Although it's kinda funny to others, I don't understand how the Dad can just sit there and listen to it.

I think if Rangers played regularly like they did today we would all be drinking to numb our senses - that was diabolical today.

If anyone was in the main stand against Hamilton last Friday did they hear the lad about 9 or 10 shouting all the Hamilton players birds are slappers then put in the goal waghorn like you put it in your bird the whole time there was a girl about 6 and her dad next to him god knows how this guy didn't want swing for the wee lad

and he kept shouting about ginger hair lol

  5. Allan mcgregor and as much as i hated how he left he was great for us

ok before the whole he didn't command his box brigade jump in well first and foremost he is there to keep the ball out the goal and expect the odd 1 he done that

man city tried to be smart with wanting a goalkeeper who can play football and the other week i watched that clown in goals against Leicester and my words to my mate watching the game was " a big Alan mcgregor would have saved them 2 goals "

considering he was through the reserve team he went on to be in my opinion our most important player under walter smiths reign

Hemdani I had never really heard anything too special but he turned out to be a huge favourite of mine. Had class written all over him. Jim Bett was another player that seemed to be a perfect fit for Rangers, unfortunately wasn't our most successful time. Stuart Munro is a great shout too

    Good thread imo

He was an extra centre half in European games

scored a goal against Celtic  was arguably an own goal

a good goal in Europe against ososouna i will give him that but Charlie adam scored a few great European goals but doesn't get the same plaudits on here or cult status hemdani does

domestically he was fuckin rotten in the cup final against Dundee United dragged off at halftime

i honeslty think wee bazza enjoyed playing next to him as unlike mendss Thompson or ricksen didn't talk back to him in his second spell

Is there anyone through the years that when we signed you thought "ffs no - waste of money" but they turned out to be really good players?

    For me

Kenny Miller second time - not just because of the Celtic thing I just didn't think he would be any good but the impact he had when Walter signed him was incredible.

David Weir - I remember watching him and Daily for Scotland against Faroe's in a 2-2 draw and they looked absolutely pish and I didn't really remember thinking he was great at Falkirk, Hearts or Everton but what a signing he was for us. Not a good passer of the ball but could read the game superbly and time his tackles to perfection.

Nacho Novo - Watching him for Dundee and thinking he was a wee headless chicken. Again, not blessed with massive footballing ability but a big game player. Some of his goals and finishes on the biggest occasions.

Stevie Thompson - Maybe a strange one but I thought he was very under-rated with us and got a hard time from the fans but nowhere near as bad as people made out. Done us a turn and for cheap.

Stevie Thompson is the most underrated player of the mcleish era he scored against Celtic in champions league and at grounds like tanadice and pitodrie where we always struggled

could up the play well and and bring others into the game

his double substitution with neil mccann against Dunfermline won us the league

  8. Really regret how he left I remember he wanted a 3 year deal and mccoist didn't think he could justify giving him the deal

then 3 years later he was a standout at the world cup for algeria I honestly think letting him go was w terrible decision we were never going to replace his presence and influence he had on the team going forward

I think it's a good idea provided the initial transfer kitty lump sum it provides at the start is spent wisely

it's a bit of a gamble but we have to do something

for example after the Kaunas embarrasment we spent a lump sum on Bougherra, Mendes, Edu, Lafferty, Davis im sure and that developed into a bit of a spine so we didn't really need to do too much to it thereafter

the same again could be done but I know you'd be pushing the boat out a bit for wages and probably half way through the three years we might struggle a bit - but the risk factor I mentioned would be negated by qualifying for the Champions League

it all comes down to spending wisely rather than not being able to afford it IMO

ive a horrible feeling that give Warburton 15 million he'd use it to buy 20 guys from the English leagues he sees as massive potential - 12 of them midfielders

    Great point

if he had a lump some would I trust him to bring in the spine of players you mentioned in 1 go ? I am not sure

like the tims done in 2000 they bought a spine of a team that lasted 5 years but they didn't have a resale value ? So sucsess would be essential if we went down that route
