  1. Graeme Souness gives opinion on Ally McCoist potentially returning to Glasgow Rangers

Caixinha now appears to be under serious pressure at Rangers, with many suggesting that he should be dismissed.

And Souness has suggested that he wouldn’t be too surprised if McCoist returned as boss at Ibrox.

“Anything is possible. He was very popular,” Souness said. “I know there was something that was over money, but that’s for other people to decide.

"He did a job under difficult circumstances there, but I just want it sorted out. A good Rangers would be good for celtic.”

McCoist’s last spell in charge of Rangers lasted for three years between 2011 and 2014.

If McCoist was to return to Ibrox, he would take over a club desperately trying to compete for Scottish Premiership titles again.

This is Rangers’ second season back in the top flight, but they have been unable to put any sort of pressure on celtic so far.

  2. ALLY McCOIST insists under-fire Pedro Caixinha deserves more time to turn things around at Rangers.

Caixinha was ordered to the stands as he watched his side crash to a 2-0 Betfred Cup semi-final defeat to Motherwell and miss out on a glamour Old Firm final.

Ally McCoist says Pedro Caixinha deserves more time despite crashing out of the Betfred Cup

It marked a miserable afternoon for Caixinha, who has failed to win three games in a row since arriving in Scotland back in March.

Angry Rangers fans have taken to Twitter demanding that the Portuguese boss is given the boot following another poor result under his tenure.

But Light Blues legend McCoist – who left the Ibrox hotseat nearly three years ago – believes Caixinha should be given more time.

He told BT Sport: “Yes at this moment in time. I think it’s still early in his tenure at the club. I know one or two people may disagree with that.”

Asked by Chris Sutton if the club can improve under Caixinha, he added: “That will remain to be seen. But I’m of the opinion that he deserves the chance to do that at this moment in time.”

McCoist also claimed that Rangers are “better than last year” and added: “There’s certainly a level of improvement but there’s probably not enough.

Caixinha and Rangers had a miserable day at the office as Louis Moult scored a double for Motherwell

“Although it might not have looked like it today, they’ve got a goalscorer in Morelos and a centre-back in Alves who are clearly better players than they had last year.”

  3. If we had taken our chances the game would have been won.

We actually played fairly well first half.

Result is a disaster and we have had too many of them.

Frustrating thing is we have better players than MW or Allys teams. We play well for 2 games then take a step back.

Who do we bring in? I'm not sure.

  4. Some fans on here are like the media and actually can't wait to stick the knife in and twist words.

If you listen to him and understand what he is saying then you will get it.

People that don't watch his press conferences and instead choose to read a headline from the record or Sun are the fannies who get their panties in a twist.

Journalist twists words to set up a story to mock Rangers shocker.

    Give us a break.
