McKay got 5 goals and 4 assists in the league last season (6 and 11 in all competitions).

This season (so far) Windass has 5 goals and 3 assists in all competitions; all from league appearances.

To allow a better comparison; McKay played 46 games in all competitions last season, Windass has played 19 this year.

Puts things into perspective, we can all rant and rave about potential but it means fuck all if Windass has already contributed more meaningfully this season than Mckay did last.

Can’t really remember McKay scoring a crucial goal at a crucial time since we got back to the premiership either, Windass can atleast claim that, needs someone ahead of him but I’d be more than happy if he was rotated every other game, as long as he continues to improve that is, time will tell if that’s the case.

  2. Slate the guy more than anyone but 5 goals and 3 assists is what roughly what Mckay got last season was it not?

He’s a more than capable player to start every other game but I would rather he had someone else ahead of him to relieve the pressure to perform every week to a high standard as for a winger especially of his age that’s impossible.

  3. Judging by the comments from the Motherwell fans they’re slowly waking up to how scummy the agenda in Scotland is.

it’ll take more of them getting cheated in big games and more of their clubs being financially harmed by the negative affect of a dead end league before they wake up and see the light.

have a feeling celtic and their dominance will be remembered as nothing more than a fixed one horse race.

How many years has Hardie been a promising youngster for? I know he’s not had much game time but whenever he has came on over the last few seasons he’s contributed absolutely nothing. You could prob count the number of times he’s touched the ball in a Rangers jersey in one hand.

There’s been plenty of prolific players at youth level who wouldn’t get near a first time in their club’s division and he’s no different.

far too raw for a club like us.

  5. Beggars belief that several managers and businessmen can’t understand that target men like that are for relegation sides.

Joe Garner or Herrera will do well when asked to do nothing more than be a battering ram and score once every five or six games.

    basic fucking football knowledge.

This board won’t be leaving but some of the Bears will, our club is fucked and there’s nothing we can do about it.

Be a case of they go or we do eventually.

People can lie and continue to say we have no money or whatever but they’ve wasted 10+ million on players and staff since we have returned.

Its embarrassing that a club so big has so many fans who are able to point out mistakes the board and players/staff make on a daily basis yet they’ve never once saw that themselves and addressed it.

Still think the big shock comes in the coming years when celtic find out the hard way the big boys don’t give a fuck about them and they become another Scottish club with no cash, no European football and no voice in the game.

we will catch up with them then rather than now imo.

  7. It’s noted by most sensible Rangers fans that our return was going to be a slow one, even if we had barely finished second in the last two seasons not many would be too disgruntled, it seems to be an absolute myth we are spoiled and demand too much.

How can anyone justify spending 6+ million (including wages) on Pena, Herrera, Barton, Senderos, Niko etc considering that 6+ million was what we had practically begged the board to spend this summer at most?

People can say what they like but as a fan base we pour more money into the club than any other in Scotland and have consistently shown even if times get tough we will stick together.

It’s sickening that we are relying on a board that would rather get ten krancjkars for free than one or two Morelos’ types by pushing the boat out, we are the punching bag of taigfest Scotland yet sit in complete silence and look to have had absolutely no plan whatsoever with regard to our return to the top and then after.

It really isn’t hard to know that leaving yourself with one starting player in every attacking position (some of whom aren’t even good enough) is a suicidal move, who’s ego is honestly big enough to trust a young unproven striker, a dud budget target man from mexico and a proven waster in Pena to carry out our most important season ever or to continually make such huge risks in terms of managerial appointments after a season beforehand that proves risks rarely work and this isn’t football manager.

Fingers crossed this board leaves by next season and we find someone who can atleast slowly close the gap with an actual plan, we don’t need mega millions, we need a board who speak for the fans, appoint the best option at all times with regards to players and managers and that do not lie down to anyone if justified, that really isn’t as hard as some think despite our troubles, we aren’t asking for much at all.

Despite our board being so out of touch we have still attracted some fantastic signings on paper and have proven no matter what our name still matters, this alone is proof enough steady second until celtic find champions league qualification impossible and the playing field evens isn’t a big ask at all.

About time we stopped taking no for an answer and from fan base to boardroom hate everyone that tried to kill us and together make our way back to the top, slowly and with a plan.

    fuck building bridges.

  8. The last two years will be a blessing in disguise.

if we were pushing for second and doing just enough we would be papering the cracks for these useless bastards as we have done for the last two year.

5-6 million wasted on Pena, Herrera and Garner, Barton, Niko, Alves all earning comfortably above 15 grand a week since our return but we are expected to believe we can’t afford folk like Naismith or Jamie Murphy?

Board are spineless taig sympathisers who don’t speak for Rangers at all, they’ll be remember as the men who held us back 10 years upon our return, regardless of anything they did well before that.

Fingers crossed they’re all ushered out the club and never welcomed back, every club here hates our guts and explores every avenue to query if we can be kicked down any further yet we can’t even highlight it nevermind fight it back.

  9. Murty should be nowhere near the first team in any respect after that.

last two games he’s shown to be so naive tactically and picks his pals, only reason he’s saved abuse is that it’s not his choosing to be in this position.

who the fuck starts Miller out wide? Pena no getting a run out is embarrassing, wee tip for murty is that playing three shite strikers won’t have the same affect as having one decent striker, you just have three shite strikers and no midfield.

board are spineless bastards who let us down at every avenue, just as bad as the rest who fucked our club into oblivion, don’t care what anyone says regarding how much they’ve did for the club before we got promoted they’ve set us back 5 years through their own idiocy, if they gave anywhere near as much of a fuck as us we wouldn’t have wasted 5-6 million on cunts like Pena, Herrera and Garner over the last couple of year considering 5-6 million alone was what most expected us to spend full stop.

This season will be the start of serious change I think, it’s far too toxic to continue getting away with it.

Alves is past it anyway. He has been garbage for us, and has figured in many shite results. I have no idea why we let Clint Hill go tbh. I wonder how much he was on compared to Alves.

Hill’s in the same boat as Miller mate, played very well last season but both were clearly going to be absolutely finished at best by this January if they had both signed new deals.

Alves should be in every single week when fit considering his competition, we miss him when he’s away and we aren’t playing a team willing to hand us 3 points.

As a club we aren’t in a position to be able to turn on a player of his experience and ability on paper.

Couple of months ago folk wanted Alves made official captain now he’s to be released

Roberts is apparently a 1.5 to 2m a year loanee. Miles outwith our financial reach.

He was already bought for 12m though so that doesn’t surprise me, whereas if we scout early and go for players like Tuanzebe, even take Reece Oxford when we went for him last season then that’s our level, not McTominay.

Mourinho favours Rashford out wide over United’s best player Martial purely because he works hard and follows orders, same goes for Fellaini in midfield or Mkhitaryan at 10 over Mata, McTominay is nowhere near the level of anyone Mourinho’s loaned/bombed out, that’s the types we should have on our radar (Pereira, Tuanzebe, Gomes, Fosu-Mensah, Roshaun-Williams, Borthwick-Jackson) just before they break onto the scene and cost 5 times as much to bring in.

seen a few folk say ‘they play for man united we can’t afford to scoff at that’

    Federico Macheda anyone?

Big difference between a bang average six foot four Scottish midfielder and some of the BPL youth from places like Holland who are technically or physically five years above their actual age.

  12. I watch every United game and I can confirm McTominay is gash.

Mourinho famously hasn’t produced any of his own youth yet and he’s supposed to be his guy, it’s caused a bit of an uproar that he prefers McTominay over Pereira, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe or any youth player with actual potential.

Sort of signings we should aim for on loan is Patrick Roberts level loans from teams like United such as the above, canny get away with loaning in bang average young players just because it’s cheap.

Don't talk pish boo'ing has been going on since I was born even during the glory years.  Fans pay their money, fans can do as they please.

They’re making out as if we’re Real Madrid fans booing Casillas etc for no reason.

Cunts deserve more than just pishy boo’s for being part of why our club has wasted 2 seasons.

    He's better than windass.

Maybe at playing 40 yards pointless hollywood passes and doing roulettes when he’s unmarked.

As said above he plays every game like it’s a charity match and is even more of a passenger than most, even the ultimate passenger Windass.

"Jack has brought much needed did"

    I hope that's a joke?

Worst part about that is Holt can atleast claim he’s played well and helped get a result against the taigs.

No fight is a funny one aswell, he might be bang average but he bursts his balls for us far more than most.

McCrorie is not yet an established player in the squad and is still only potential, Cardoso and Alves were brought in as the established defenders and one of them should have been partnering Wilson.

Doesn't matter anyway should have been 3 or 4 up if the Muppets up front took there chances.

Surely Cardoso is in the same boat as McCrorie?

Two  promising defenders thrown in at the deep end, aye Cardoso has played a lot more football but he gets criticised far more than Ross does for the same brainless mistakes.

Fuckin disgrace - no one deserves to booed off the park

We don’t owe anyone anything mate, if he felt he didn’t have a point to prove at a club far bigger than he’ll ever manage to play for in the future then why should he care if we feel he’s a waste of a jersey?

Quite a few of them are due a good few harsh words from any true Rangers fan.

  18. By then won’t the taigs be finding it a lot harder to gain champions league football, especially regularly?

Like it or not there comes a point where Rangers get back to a competitive level or the rest of the world continues to see them as glorified flat track bullies, they find it harder to qualify for Europe and become just another Scottish club making fuck all money in a dead league.

Scotland isn’t going to magically become some money pot where they can continue to better themselves and pull away from us, even if the League were competitive in modern footballing terms we would both have limited funds and no interest in our game from anyone bar ourselves.

long term it’s a lose lose, aye they might dominate for a decade but by then the rest of the world will pull away and Scotland will be even more of an afterthought.

  19. Said ages ago I had a horribly feeling this will build up and blow up to toxic proportions.

We are far too loyal to the club to hurt the board financially so that they take notice and they don’t actually care enough to change a thing unless serious uproar occurs.

Literally compare how much celtic, Aberdeen and Hibs etc fucking despise us with every fibre of their being and look for any opportunity to have a swipe at us to how little the board actually speak or act for Rangers as a fan base, we have shitebag frauds at board level who have hired equally as careless staff and players.

Hopefully someone within the Rangers fan base be it the Union Bears, one of the Rangers fan media outlets or some pishy fucking YouTuber for all I care actually uses their platform to speak out and at the very least make it clear change is wanted and needed, no excuses.

  20. Don’t really buy into the idea that Auchenhowie should be transformed into Guantanamo just because the players are gash, we need a clean slate and along with that I don’t see the harm in letting players have days off and encouraging team morale.

Would much rather give them days off to recharge than have them in at 6 every morning as we’ve already seen how that works out for us, I also don’t understand the viewpoint of the folk arguing that just because us common folk work longer hours and far harder that the players should have to slave away just because they earn a lot, load of bitter pish.
