Why?? we could have had this trial with him you speak of and not paid anything for it. If he is not with us now, he deffo is not going to be in the plans in the future.

Hearts have paid 160k and taking on some of his wages.

Norwich would have asked us to pay a fee and pay a higher amount of wages based on our finances.

He is only 31 and has a good 4 or 5 years in him. Despite what people think of him, he is a quality player and is too good for Hearts.

  2. Think it' a certainty Naismith won't sign for Hearts in the summer .

He will do all he can to impress. Wouldn't be surprised to see him signed by us if Miller moves on. Murty doesnt need him just now but the trial will be these 5 months.

    Thread within a thread -

And this is an age old question. Why do our players not kick on from here? We are playing the mighty Bayern at their midden and we are more than holding our own. However, this is not unusual but if our 11 played their 11 5 years from now we would be outplayed and well beaten. 4/5 of their players will be internationalists - 1/2 from our 11 will have a career.

Or are we truly turning a corner? And if so, why?

Its the first season we have done this where they play a european team every 2 matches. Getting the experience of this, and domestic matches can only be a good thing.

Wish we had done this years ago but I am happy with the progress Craig and his team are making.

  4. The face we have signed players who are either Rangers supporters, or who are playing in Scottish/British football can only be a good thing.

One thing we have lacked in the last few years is fight and passion, especially when playing the scum across the city.

With Dorrans and Miller also due to return, this will only help things around the dressing room. Thomson and Vignal nearby on the coaching side of things. Looking forward to doing battle with them now we are building a core.
