Amac9 2,060
Portsmouth executive chairman Peter Storrie admits that star striker Jermain Defoe has expressed an interest in leaving Fratton Park. The England international has been strongly linked with a January move to Tottenham, where he would be reunited with former Pompey boss Harry Redknapp. Portsmouth are eager to keep hold of Defoe - who was angered after being left on the bench by manager Tony Adams in a December defeat to Arsenal - as they look to climb the Premier League table. However, Storrie now confesses that Defoe looks set to quit the South Coast outfit just 12 months after moving from Spurs. "It looks like Jermain wants to go," he told the Portsmouth News. "That is something we will be speaking to him about." However, Storrie insists that Pompey will not allow their £7.5million forward - who has also been connected with Aston Villa - to leave in a cut-price deal. "If Jermain goes it will be at our price and if there is an offer which appeals," added Storrie. "We have always said we will not keep people who do not want to play for Portsmouth football club." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4729098,00.html

BlueSuedeSambas 54,550
The Portsmouth faithful must be dreading this window. All their better players appear to be on the way out, and their form has been a bit ropey in the past few weeks. They are outsiders to go down IMO. Amac9 2,060
He's on his way to Murray Park now. My mate just text me and told me he saw him driving in with his agent.
Amac9 2,060
Papa Bouba Diop, Niko Krancjar, Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and David James all linked with moves away. Plus Lassana Diarra has already joined Real Madrid. It may prove to be a painful month for Pompey fans.

Stardog 11
All the players only went because of Redknapp, and even he even had to let some players go like Benjani/Muntari. No way Adams will hold onto any of them.
KERRZO 5
Left Tottenham for 1st team football and got it at Pompy where he has showcased his ability and thats when bigger clubs come calling. I would want to leave aswell if I were him, he never wanted to leave Spurs in the first place. At least Pompy should make a tidy profit!!!

He really was on form last season, barely made a mistake.
