RFCstuart 317 Posted April 25, 2014 Share Posted April 25, 2014 A lot have people have mentioned retiring the number 2 shirt or naming a stand after Sandy. This has been mentioned by other people on here and other places, but what do people think about changing the name of Auchenhowie to something after Sandy Jardine? One of the things that has been clear to me is the number of players who played for us when they were younger talking about how Sandy helped them and made them feel at home and just how nice a person he was. Because of this and considering the name was meant to be changed anyway, i think it would be a fitting tribute. He definitely deserves some recognition - there have been so many legends at this club, but through the past few years no one has stuck up for us and stuck by us quite like Sandy. RIP Sandy.
