Travelling for work is the official reason. However, it's not illegal to travel for any reason you like. It's advice, not law. They're not checking people on the flights from Glasgow to Dubai to confirm that their visit is essential.
Mate, like it or not there is nothing to stop people travelling to and from Dubai, including the celtic squad. Morally wrong, yes, but nothing illegal or against covid rules.
I said as much in earlier posts, but now I think about it you would risk causing major upset to the people who have been investing for years and have no shares to show for it.
I understand that C1872 won't want the uncertainty of people cashing in their shares unexpectedly and reducing their percentage, but I'd even be happy to sign up to a deal whereby C1872 get first refusal on my shares.
I'd happily invest and then proxy the control/voting rights etc to C1872, but at the end of the day I want them to be my shares. Not just for financial reasons, but also so that if I don't believe that C1872 are doing a good job then I can take my shares back out.
