The Nordic foreigners seem to pick up English quite well. Guys like Mixu Paatelienen and Jonatan Johansson. Mixu impressed me cause he doesn't only sound fluent but more articulate than a lot of people with English as their first language.
-
I think he'd prefer to stay with us coming up to the Euro's in the summer so he can keep some consistency and hopefully some form so that he can attract interest from bigger clubs by a good performance there.
-
I thought those twins from Man City would've been knocking on the door of the first team. If they cant even get a game for our reserve team or whatever we're calling it these days then thats a huge disappointment.
What happened to the midfielder we had recently that was Georgian or Polish or something like that? He played a lot of games for the reserves and stood out i thought. Cant remember his name and its going to annoy me for the rest of the day now......
Kamil Wiktorski?

Can't understand why people are moaning about this. If we don't sign him fair enough. But this is how many of the teams we look to at producing youth can find some of their foreign youths. Such as Ajax who commonly do this with Scandinavian youngsters such as Christian Eriksen.
Perhaps we haven't had as much success yet but the only way to develop these links are to keep trying.

Anyone wanting a challenge of sorts. Try going Queens Park. They are only amateur, So every player you sign is on a free contract in the transfer window can be taken by any other team on a free.
Currently:Got put out 2nd round of the League cup.
Scottish cup 5th round on a replay lost to Dunfermline after drawing 3-3 in the first game.
Actually managed to win the Challenge cup.
Sitting top of the 3rd division just a week in to February.
However with the amateur status lots of the players who I got on frees this season to replace my other players taken in the summer transfer window were stolen in the january transfer window.
So got another 2 players in and hopefully can hold on to the end of the season and if I can get promoted to the 2nd division can atleast get to go part time so teams at least have to pay for stealing my players.
Quite an interesting game at least.

We'll just need to wait and see, but the Colts are very interested. Wouldn't shock me for the season to be a complete bust just to get Andrew Luck next season. Major rebuilding job is on the cards for the Colts.
any team that doesnt have an elite QB and ends up first pick would be quite stupid to pass up on Luck. But we will wait and see.
-
We'll push the boat out, expect major moves and some crazy offers to move up the draft to secure Andrew Luck goes to the Colts.
I really doubt it. The whole Luck for Manning has just came about now. Seattle for Luck has been going for ages. If we have the top pick come draft time we will not give it up.
-
Andrew Luck is Colts bound, Manning is finished. It's going to be a long season for us Colts fans.
Not a chance, even with Colts not having manning, they will still win more games than Seattle! I mean a team with a 12 year old QB would be better than a team led by Tavaris Jackson
-
Stay as a Seattle fan Ben. That's what I am to and we need more!
However we are in a moment of transition at the moment, building a young team. Otherwise known as we are playing pretty shit.
I think Seahawks are employing a very smart strategy - Suck for Luck. If we suck just hard enough we will get Andrew Luck in next years draft!

The look on Jimmy Bullard's face

I'm sure he's a Killie Fan..
Skip to about 50 seconds in onwards. He's a Rangers fan.

R.I.P
Would also just like to give a wee mention to Paul Kelly, a good Rangers man but ultimately a great guy who sadly died on Saturday night, he was only 19. To Absent Friends
This to, knew the guy as well.

Sorry to hear about that, thoughts are with you and your family.

Your profile number is 76.
Was it Bain who paid off Chris Burke so that Cardiff could get him on a free? As opposed to, you know, just selling him for nothing.
where do you get the profile number bit? I joined same day as them it seems just no idea in what order

What he appears to be saying is that he needs a poacher to partner him. A natural finisher who instinctively gets in to the right areas within the box.
Would be interesting to see who that could be. I'm not even sure Goodwillie is that guy.
-
It's all about the service he gets. It will be interesting to see him in Europe, he's not a poacher, he does alot of his work out of the box. We need a striker who gets 1 chance, and scores. In the games we've seen Jelavic, he can take a few chances before he scores, we can't afford that in Europe. With the way we play, 1 chance is sometimes all we get.
So what you're saying regarding chances is... he's a mere mortal? like 99% of strikers he can require a couple of chances on goal.
Difference between Jelavic and a lot of other strikers is that he can get himself in the positions to get these chances or create his own chances.
We cannot rely on him on his own of course. I mean we had guys like Laudrup etc and it shows that it requires a team effort.

If Ally wants Kenny back, I'd support him. Who ever he feels he needs to win us the league.
-
All people put on the sex offenders list should not be allowed in to a football stadium with children present seeing as this is a family atmosphere. If they are a fan or a footballer. Craig Thomson should be no different.

I thought Goodwillie would have been the main striking target. And now he is saying he wont pay for him.
95% of storeis to do with wages and players values and prices is paper talk, i dont believe any of it.
I agree with you. Thought he was the main target, but he hasn't went anywhere yet and as far as I knew he still had an outstanding court case. Things can change pretty quickly. For a perfect example Steven Naismith (Not saying I want to get Goodwillie final day of the transfer window, more that papers have came out saying we wont get him and we've given up just before we actually bought him).
-
Are you serious? The owner and manager have both came out and spoke publically about every player we are linked with!
Just my opinion. There's a difference in saying who we want and the value of money we have and what we're willing to pay. Unlike when with Murray we basically told clubs we were swimming in cash.
Also I'm sure I've seen Whyte say there are more targets and that even when Hemed was being targeted he wasn't the primary even though we assumed as much.
Do you not also think a lot of it is paper talk as to prices we have offered, wages we have offered etc.
I'll remain confident in the management and the chairman until the transfer deadline.

We got in to a mess by instantly coughing up top fees for players without negotiating and sometimes even buying players without fully thinking them through and were often very public in our dealings. And people here rightfully said we had been idiotic.
Now we are being much more discreet and so far haven't rushed in to giving a team exactly what we want (much like how teams deal with us in buying our players). Now people are being critical for following this approach. It seems they can't win either way.
I think we trust them in that they say they have targets and they will pay what they believe is right. If it comes to the end of August and we are floundering in the CL and the league because the players weren't brought in or weren't together long enough to gel then I along with many others will be critical. But until then I'll give them time.

We could do a lot worse than signing Eremenko.
The guy is just effortless.
Metalist Kharkiv he's on loan from isn't it?
-
Compared to what we're use to (provan and Walker) then aye I thought he was ok, he usually is a cunt but I didn't think he was that bad the day.
This.
-
He was pretty poor but I don't remember him saying or implying Cammy Bell was trying to help us, more so that his decision making was idiotic, probably the only thing I agreed with him all day to be fair and he did agree our penalties were penalties, I think Andy Walker is worse personally.
