As expected, San Diego Chargers released LaDainian Tomlinson in salary cap move.
SAN DIEGO (AP)—LaDainian Tomlinson(notes) has been released by the San Diego Chargers, ending a brilliant nine-year run in which he became one of the NFL’s greatest running backs.The move has been expected since the end of the season. Tomlinson had 730 yards on 223 carries for an average of 3.3 yards per carry, all career lows.
Tomlinson was due a $2 million bonus in early March.

Hate watching Barca and Arsenal exactly because they play so called' silky brilliant football', i like to watch great defensive displays more than mindless attacking.
Barcelona have the second best defensive record in Europe. So that puts your argument down.
Plus you say Barcelona play mindless attacking football? The play such patient, probing football, you clearly don't watch them.
Do you think its because their defenders are that good or the fact the opposition hardly ever have the ball to attack them ? either way Barcelona are brilliant too watch.

pretty good report, i'd have given lafferty a 6 alongside novo though. his first touch today for the majority of the game was just not what you expect of someone we paid that much for, though some of novo's passes to him left him little option with his first touch.

hey any of you guys play an online american football game called goallineblitz? (www.goallineblitz.com)
Its a game where you create a player and pick a position, you got a set selection of skills which you can train and add skill points to as you level on in the game.
I own a bottom division club in the game so if any of you were wanting to try it out, i could help you create a good player and he could join my team and i'll help you move up the divisions as a player. and if you want once you've been playing for a bit i can help you with the coaching aspects of the game and show you how to do it so you could be a Defensive/Offensive/Special teams co-ordinator.
The game is free and only costs if you wanna take some of the additional features.

Bears DE Gaines Adams died Sunday morning in Greenwood, S.C., league sources confirmed to NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi. Adams was 26.
Greenwood County Coroner Jim Coursey told WYFF that Adams went to the emergency room at Self Regional Hospital and was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
Adams lived in Greenwood and played collegiately at nearby Clemson.
The Buccaneers drafted Adams fourth overall in 2007, and he had 13.5 sacks in 37 games with the team. He was traded to the Bears in October and played in 10 games.
UPDATE: Coursey told NFL Network that Adams was experiencing “health issues” Sunday morning, and his girlfriend called for an ambulance. Adams arrived at the hospital just after 8 a.m. ET and was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 8:21 a.m. Coursey said Adams had no history of health problems, so an autopsy and a toxicology report are planned to determine cause of death.

DANNY WILSON and John Fleck have been left stunned by suggestions they have set their sights on England.
Rangers’ teenage stars, who still have 18 months to run on their contracts, have been unable to agree on new deals.
Repeated attempts by Chief Executive Martin Bain to broker pay packages have stalled.
And on Friday manager Walter Smith said it appeared the pair saw their futures elsewhere and were putting contracts ahead of their careers.

When I was in the merchant navy in the pacific off the coast of Asia. I got my dad to record the big games on dvd and send them by post so I could watch them, made a whole ship of guys from eastern Europe in to Gers fans they'd all come watch it in the rec. room with a few beers. Only bugger was I got sent the Uefa cup final game and my chief engineer, the big russian, was a Zenit fan and sat there knowing the score the whole game ripping the pish out of me.
