Adam is relativly young but he did not get his chance at Rangers. Just goes to show that someone who has played for someone else in the SPL has a better chance of getting a run under Walter than youngsters that stay.
-
I don't think there are many would argue that we have better midfield players this year than last yet we had a decent season with what we had. I don't think there was any doubt that we were a better side with Barry than without so I look forward to seeing the team with Barry playing and a better midfield beside him.

Frankie some of the experienced players we've paid good money for have not cut it but at least most of them have been given a chance. Our own young talent who have shown great potential all be it at a younger age group just don't get the chance to show their worth. I'd far rather see young Fleck or loy getting a run out and perhaps doing well or maybe a little disappointing than watch Adam or McCullough and know I'm going to be disappointed.
-
What is more annoying is the brief glimpsies we have had of the youngsters like Fleck in the Cup final left us all happy at thought of what's to come, then nothing.
-
The thing is at this time everyone agrees with you Frankie but come January it will be Murray we need a RB, LB and another striker etc get your wallet oot and they will forget the serious financial state we are in.
Murray has hinted at having to use the youngsters more and it is time that Walter started bleed 1 or 2 into the team so that they are not overawed when they are needed.
-
I think we will miss Thomson badly, especially if Daly gets the nod which I fully expect.
-
I would like to see Lafferty, Novo or Naismith (when he returns) get a chance as a striker rather than being played out of position wide.
-
I support Scotland when they are playing but would prefer that they were not playing. Rangers mean much more to me.

I think with the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan it is often forgotten that most of the 911 bombers were in fact Saudis. I don't know if it's because the 2 main shines are on the peninsula that they have this extreme Wahhabi version of Islam, but it really would be a mistake for the west to believe that we have a friend in Saudi Arabia
You are correct. It is because Saudi are the guardians of the 2 holy mosques (Mecca nad Modena) that they feel they must show the rest of the Muslim world their idea of true Islam.

Some good points there duke.
I was brought up protestant, though not a church-goer as such now. I see myself more of a general Christian (not a very good one though
My mum is catholic, again she does not attend church, and she is more than good enough for me. I could not have asked for better.
She certainly abhors terrorism of any kind, I can safetly say that. She didnt want me to go to N.Ireland the times I did, and while she is not political in any way, she has always hated seeing IRA stuff on the news. Her main interest is history, particularly of the Royal Family, she has always had a strong interest in reading about them throughout the centuries if that means anything.
I also know for a fact that there are no members of that side of my family that sympathises with the IRA in any shape or form.
I think its wrong to tar all one particular religion with the same brush.
Thats basically what I was trying to put across. The fact that the OP contained references to AlQaeda and 'Arab flags' and Islam as a whole in the same breath. Its ridiculous.
Fact is that the teachings of Islam is to dominate the world. I do not for one moment think that every Muslem is a terrorist but their religion is a religion of domination. Freedom of thought concerning your day to day life is over shadowed by Islam. This is difficult for anyone who has not lived with them to understand just how strict their religion is. Even the most moderate Muslems stop everything for prayer 5 times a day over here. All shops, garages everything shut down for half an hour 5 times a day.

He needs to be telling that to Walter not the Daily Mail.

..."Glasgow Islam and they played in front of 60 000 fans every week what do you think public feeling would be if...
1/ They sung songs in support of Al Quieda
2/ They were hostile towards everything British
3/ Their fans flew arab flags
4/ Their fans harped on about everything about their homelands
5/ They played the victim card
6/ They invited rebel bands to play before CL games
7/ They denounced our royal family
8/ They couldnt be trusted to hold a minutes silence if royalty died
9/ They stated they wanted Britain to be Islamic
How many pages would that fill in the Scottish newspapers?
Scottish media, sort it out."
OK, this isnt going to be easy but here goes.
Thats a very naive statement and one the media and anyone with an understanding of world law/religion would rip to absolute shreds.
Im not Pro-Islam but
Firstly Islam is the second biggest religion in the world and the vast majority of these Muslims are peace loving, good citizens. 99.9% of Muslims do NOT support terrorism or Al Qaeda. FACT
96% of Pakistani people are Muslim, and what have we heard from them in terms of terrorism since they began migrating to the UK in the 1970's? Very little.
Secondly, being an Arab is not a religious identity. There are Arab-Jews and Arab-Chrisitians. Im not insulting your intelligence here, but think about things eh?
I pray no tims get hold of this cause im sure they would destroy it.
Im not even going to hazard a guess at what the timmy forums thread titles would be so as not to offend you.
Absolute crap. I was on a rig in Saudi on 9/11 and 85% of the Muslim Arabs had a celebration. 5 days later on my way back from that rig we had an accident and I ended up in a hospital in a place called Hufhuf where there are very few expats but even the doctors in the hospital were happy that 9/11 happened. Although most would not carry out these atrocities it is part of there religious upbringing that they should not rest until Islam is the only religion in the world. Death to the infidels (and that includes all non believers not just Christians or any religious groups).

Superb

It could well be the Tims. They hate him more than us.

It would be a bad time for something to happen. Still near the start of the season and a lot of people still looking for this seasons merchandise. Also would not leave the club a lot of time to get anything else set up and stocked before Christmas. Typicl of JJB piss poor when supplying and even manage to go down the tubes at the wrong time.
-
Not good news. It will be hard enough for Walter to find a place for Barry without weakening the team let alone Lee.

I wrote this a while ago but have updated the last few verses
In eighteen hundred seventy two
Young Moses had a dream
To form a Glasgow football team
The best the world had seen
This dream he had, he brought to life
With family, friends and strangers
The team that soon would become known
As the famous Glasgow Rangers.
From humble quiet beginnings
He built a winning side.
Based on sportsmanship and honor
And dignity and pride.
Throughout the years our management
Were a credit to the game
Above them all Mr William Struth
The man of greatest fame
All records fell before him
No team he would not face
Just words of quiet dignity
We welcome the chase.
And then in Barcelona
100 years gone bye
A European trophy
For John Greig to lift high
And then on to the nineties
Nine titles in a row
And then to 50 titles
A world’s first you know
A team proud to be British
And fight all anarchy
Proud to wave our union flag
Loyal to our Monarchy
Proud of our armed forces
Who defend us till the last
Not cowardly terrorist bastards
Killing civilians with their blasts
And now political correctness
Is bringing different fears
Banning songs we love to sing
Can bring this bear to tears.
Our protestant traditions
Being torn and cast aside
Our modern day leadership
Have found someplace to hide
At last our fans have had enough
The fight back has begun
No more to turn the other cheek
And pamper to the scum.
And those who say they hate us
They despise our Royal Throne
Show allegiance to a foreign flag
I ask why don’t you go home.
No more we’ll be the easy marks
For the media to lie and smear
The time has come the truth will out
Be frightened Graham Speirs.

What about a 4-3-1-2?
Barry, Thomson and Pedro/Davis in the three, with Davis/Pedro in behind the two up front?
Not enough width with this for me. I would go with Pedro, Barry, Thompson. Davis on the right and Lafferty on the left and Miller up front.

No question. Has to be 10 IAR.
-
I'd love to see that banner.

Many times. The disaster being the one that sticks out more than anything else.
Funnily enough I think I've cried more tears of joy after winning than tears of depression after defeats probably because after defeats I'm always confident we will be back on top soon.

I have met Andy many times as well as a few of Harrogate clubs members and can honestly say I have never met anyone with a bad word to say about him. He lives and breathes Rangers. Don't expect a militant firebrand type but expect an honest answer to any question.
