I have a house full of televisions I don't see why I should have to take them all to the tip if I don't want to watch them any more

You wouldn't have to get rid of the equipment as merely owning a TV doesn't require a licence in the UK, it's just watching/recording live broadcasts and using iplayer that does, for the moment at least. To be on the safe side though, it's recommended to detune the set and disconnect any aerials, etc.

Still hard to believe that we are forced to finance this shower :britney:

Worth pointing out that you don't have to unless you want to legally watch live broadcasts or iplayer, but it's still ridiculous. Thankfully it's legal to watch Netflix, etc and DVDs without a licence so people have plenty of incentive not to pay.

I think he is saying Rangers have actually started pointing cameras at the media which i think is a perfectly reasonable thing to do

Ah yes, I've found what you're referring to in the article - it's in there among a load of waffle about Donald Trump, no wonder I missed it.  I think it's reasonable too, as the media in this country are untrustworthy and it's prudent of us to have unaltered archive footage of press conferences in case they attempt to edit things and portray them out of context.

    unbelievable piece of 'journalism'

comparing us to basically 2 dictators because we pointed a camera at them.

Unless I'm mistaken, the 'camera' reference is just a sinister sounding euphemism meaning that we made their reporting part of the conversation; in other words they seek a monopoly in driving public perception and cast aspersions on those who infringe upon that territory.  They are a cancer.

When a QC and expert on these issues has tried to engage Tom in dialogue the response was to hide behind a dictionary definition.

Is that example from The Vague Backpedalling Bheast's Dictionary?  Because the Concise Oxford English dictionary doesn't include any definition other than: "Not conforming to, permitted by, or recognized by law or rules.".

  6. I took the liberty of updating the Oxford English Dictionary to keep pace with the current definition of justice:

    Justice.

1.1 The quality of being fair and reasonable.

1.2 The administration of the law or authority in maintaining this.

2A judge or magistrate, in particular a judge of the Supreme Court of a country or state.

3 The retrospective bending of the rules in order to suit the collective adversaries of Rangers Football  Club.

  7. The best way to harm the media without feeding them is to ridicule and shame their clientele at every opportunity, particularly in online spaces.

Passive aggression, i.e. boycotts only goes so far when what's really required is a social reality in which the average Joe is too embarrassed to face the checkout girl with his rancid rhag, and likewise deems it not worth the effort of posting links to the content of such publications.

bang on and although all the posters on here know it's a childish nothing incident EUFA and the fenian FARE are a bunch of jobsworth arseholes which was going to end us up on a charge.

It might end up a just a warning about holding the game up, probably due to our chairmans speech prior to kick off being used as a defence and it just being childish but we need to fkn wise up when we're dealing with these arseholes and our press who just look for any snippet to damage our brand.

The best of it is, they've just got any future card display banned, so fkn well done ??

    This.

Like it or not we're in breach of the rules and the best outcome we can expect is some sort of warning or suspended punishment, probably with a paltry fine for incurring disciplinary procedure; any infractions beyond that point and they'll reach for the strap-on shaped like a pineapple.

It's the last thing we need right now - we've got an uphill battle on our hands as it is without the support scoring own-goals and costing us money over pointless shit.

Was always going to happen, the sooner some of our fans realise the club are directly responsible for our actions in European games the better. Paper or not you can't throw things at the opposition goalkeeper.

The problem is there's an element that don't give a shit about anything other than their own juvenile antics.

Not to worry though - I'm sure that the classroom-capers loyal will all dig deep and reimburse the club when big bad UEFA decide to schlong us to tune of thousands of pounds...
