  1. It will be interesting to see what happens. SAF is no mug and what will he do. Ronaldo may end up[playing reserve football for a while.

Contradicting yourself there , saying he's no mug but he'll play the best player in the world in his reserves, can't see it happening to be honest.

  2. Guys while its great to see Minty offering shagger a new contract , we all know all ready players suit themselves and uproot as and when they please .

My concern now is if Man Utd dont stand firm as they have indicated (on the Ronaldo affair) they will where does that leave all other clubs who may not have the financial clout to stand up to other clubs openly tapping there players .

Lets face unless clubs are prepared to stand and see players stick to there contracts ( unless both parties agree to the move) this situation will not improve for any club . lets face it it would give the Barcas , madrids and The EPL big 4 an open playing field to go above and beyond the things all ready done to pull away players from any club .

I would love to think and hope that king carlos , shagger and the like will be with us for seasons to come but being realistic what are the chances , due to lack of TV rights money and prize money ( lets face it Pompey made the same if not more than us from There epl finish and fa cup run !!!) I worry about any good player we develop or capture .

You never know though MHILLER might score a goal a game for ten games and we could make a huge profit quickly lol

    Thoughts guys

I feel the same way mate (tu) There is no sense of security with our players , 3 - 4 year contracts mean nothing if a smaller club with more money from the EPL is willing to spend so many millions on a player , we simply cannot compete with the EPL in this money driven sport we call football.

    KT

The style is good i really like it (tu) i would have picked a different picture though , the lafferty one is good

  3. Hmmm. When Kris Boyd was sent home with a what was called a bug before a cup game last season (can't remember which now) I thought nothing of it. Then a friend of mine, who plays with a second division club, told me that he had heard it was due to taking cocaine and being found out by a club drug test. I didn't believe it at the time.

But then Boyd was frozen out completely for several weeks before re-emerging for the last couple of weeks of the season when goals were needed and it crept back into my mind.

I have no idea now whether or not this could be true. The player I know has, as far as I can see, no reason to lie, he is a massive Rangers fan and an even bigger Boyd fan so shit stirring is not his thing. But I'm also wary of stories like this because you'd think in this day and age it would be leaked.

    evens

What a load of bollocks , if Boyd was found to have been taking Drugs he would be out the door instantly , not frozen out the team or sent home for the day

  4. I will never forget the feeling i got , Walking up a road after a loss in a Uefa cup final next to a couple of hundred of bears everyone of them singing with overwhelming pride that their club had done the un-think-able and reached a European final and had given their absolute best. Every Man , Woman and Child with tears running down their faces singing " Ohh the Rangers we love you ".

  5. This a go-er then ? (tu)

If no-one else wants to , i'd be happy to run it :)

I like the idea mate , if you need any help in running it at all just pm me i'll be more than happy to help (tu)

  6. £4m for davis is a joke , he showed great quality and pottential at the start of his short loan at Rangers but slowly faded into an average player , we can get a much better player for £4m than Davis IMO

  7. ...would you take it???

Kinda ironic that he's our worst keeper in 20 years (Woods, Goram, Klos, Niemi etc) and he's getting quoted at those prices.

I'd grab the money and run!!

I would say he is better than Letizi and Waterreus. Unlike a certain Polish Keeper who pulls of a wonder-save now and a again he is incredibly consistant which what you look for a Keeper, but in todays market £8million would get him easily. I would prefer to keep him though, he knows what is needed to play for Rangers and knows what the club is about and has done an excellent job since coming in as Number 1, we will never progress if we are going to sell every good player we have to the first decent bid from a smaller club with more money. SDM will need to realise the fans will not settle for second best and he will need to stop running Rangers like a money making opportunity to help him , and him alone.

That got a bit indepth there eh :pipe:

  8. There are some in our support who could give septic fans a run for their money in the paranoia department, there's no doubt about that.

Yes, the SPL could have done a bit more to accommodate our UEFA Cup run last season, but to suggest that they've stitched us up concerning next seasons fixtures is laughable IMO.

absolutely correct mate (tu) some fans need to realise a lack of quality in certain area's was a major factor and stop blaiming other factors in our failure to win the league last season.

  9. Khans a wank.

Does anyone have a link to the game where his career pretty much ended against bayern, want to see that horrendous tackle again,

I'm sure i've got it on a dvd somewhere i'll try upload it to a website for you mate (tu) dont hold your breath though :lo:

  10. Having discussed whether Smith should leave at the end of the season I've also re-evaluated the rest of the Rangers staff:

Cuellar has not pulled his weight at the end of last season ( Dundee utd game, Partick game etc) and I also don't like his attitude. I prefer a more aggressive and loud centre half. So my conclusion is that, along with Smith, if we don't win the league and Champions league double this season, Cuellar also MUST GO.

In fact, if we don't do that double this season, EVERYONE MUST GO. McCoist, Smith, SDM, Cuellar, McGregor.

Everyone who turned this club around should be thrown out.

Us Rangers fans don't put up with bad seasons :angry2: <_<

I'm actually speachless if your being serious. Cuellar isn't only one of the best defenders in Scotland , he's easily one of the best technically gifted defenders in Europe and we should be privelaged to have such a fantastic player at the club. His attitude is exactly what is required at Rangers , He's very happy in Scotland and doesn't find a big money deal to England as attractive as many other players in his situation would. He will get better and better as seasons go on and we will struggle to keep him , lets just be happy we have him whilst he is here and stop with the negative posting about one of the best Players to play at Ibrox in years.

  11. I need to make something I'm making/selling look professional. So I need a small logo with a few letters on it. It doesn't need to be fancy or complicated.

What it could have on the logo:

    • A £ sign
    • My name, J.Adams
    • The letters: MBT
Something small would be great. As I said, nothing too fancy. I'm just hopeless when it comes to originality, whereas you guys in here seem original.

Also, I need it for tomorrow at the latest, cheers :D

I literally had 2 mins to do this , so don't expect much ;)

  12. Watching the PSV vs Rangers game from 1999 on Rangers TV and it has brought back very fond memories of Michael Mols. He had everything you could ask for in a striker, played the game with a smile on his face and could have 50,000 on their feet with one of his trademark turns. It is so sad that his career with us ended the way it did when Kahn done a number on him. I firmly believe that he would have been up there with Gazza, Laudrup as one of the best foreign imports to play for the club.

Do you think we will we ever see a player of his class at Ibrox again? Would you have him back short term? 37 yr old, fit as a fiddle and still banging them in for Feynoord. Someone in my work said St Mirren were linked with him!?

He was a great player , could have been fantastic if he hadn't got injured like you said. I think the novelty of having him back would wear off quite fast if we were to sign him , Don't think he could offer us much now.

  13. Velcka is OK I suppose

Miller is pish and Lafferty is feckin worse - and we've just blew £6m on them

no, I'm not happy with the signings so far

get a grip , he's a rangers player now , give the guy a chance ffs stop instantly labelling him as pish from what you've herd.

I've watched him home and away for Northern Ireland and the guy is decent - scored a good goal V Sweden - but £4m????? no chance

He's 20 with a good goalscoring record and has great potential to become a success at rangers. It was £3m + Alan Gow , not £4m (tu)

Alan Gow is a better player with better potential

Alan gow is 25 with potential to become a good player for any spl club outside the old firm or at championship level. He wasn't given the best of chances by Walter but he see's the players alot more than we do and he may have reasons for not choosing him. Give Lafferty a chance in the SPL without labelling him pish.
