  1. Adam back in in a midfield 5, JCD on his own up front.

Not a lot to shout about.

    :craphead:

get off adams back everyone, he scores goals and whilst he does have the odd howler, hes still young and good scottish talent. hopefully as fans we will get behind the team for once :)

being slightly hypocritical here but faye is SHITE!

  2. TBO have for a while now been trying to get this chant going, but hasn't hit the ground running.

A fellow poster on another forum has suggested these lyrics, what do you think bears?

Here are the River Plate fans doing it the way it should/could be done by us http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gX-HP7V4aaw

that version of the song is FCUKING quality!

would love to hear that belted out at Ibrox, the version off rangers.co.uk is absolutely naff but this one is genuis. Full credit to Jiminez if he invented it, lets try everything to get this as the new billy boys :craphead::locked: :bouncy: :beer2:

  4. that song is absolute garbage. Sounds like a 5 year old wrote it, utter garbage. Would cringe if i heard that at a Gers game, although the tune is fantastic and the river plate version is moving. But i believe we could incorporate some better words into it that utter "WATP we welcome the chase etc. etc."

thoughts or am i just being too loyal to the billy boys?

  5. As the song goes '' Barcelona, Real Madrid who the fvck you trying to kid

for we're off to show the world what we can do''

unfortunatly the atmosphere has gone flat. I was at the home Red Star leg (travelled 600miles to see us) and 35,000 with the most of the singing coming from the broomload, copland was dead, all it needed was a tumbleweed. We need an anthem, problem if we use the billy boys tune but change the words we'll still get fined because a minority will stick use the up to our knees in fenian blood etc.

  6. Rangers are one of the best followed clubs in the world. Come the champions league, we should not fear anyone, we are a huge club and personally i want an atmosphere that when barce and co. walk down the tunnel they feel fear. This season in the CL we have nothing to lose, no-one to fear, and one of the strongest squads we've had in years

    :craphead:

  7. Barcelona, obviously a huge team, Champions league heavyweights and IMO the best team in Europe atm. Rijkaarrd has a good squad of players who all back him, and a good start to la liga after they drew away from home to Racing 0-0

Dangermen: Ronaldinho (who may be off to chelsea if you believe the papers) :craphead:

Henry: Finisher who if starts well in la liga will be lethal and we all know how he carried arsenal for years

Puyol: Captain, leader and will get stuck in, will be hard to break down

Lyon, after a poor start to the season which sees them mid-table, Perrin will be hoping to turn things around. However, he is not a manager of great talanet, and is under pressure to get the 7th league title in a row for Lyon. May get sacked if he doesn't achieve this so may not be as strong in the CL as predicted. Also they sold a lot of their best players over the summer and will be missing their captain for the tie against the gers

Dangermen: Fred, awesome finished, big lad, power pace hard shot, hes got it all. Has came under stick from a few Lyon fans this season because of a lazy attitude (Boydy anyone :craphead: )

Stuttgart, a win a loss and a draw to start the season. A good squad who rode their luck a bit to win the bundesliga last season. TBH they only really won it because of the disappearance of Bayern Munich and co. Big players in Basturk, Everthon but hardly any names that make you wan't to hide behind the couch.

Dangermen: Basturk, lit alight the 2002 world cup for Turkey, will give Thomson and Hemdani a hard time to stop his attacking play. But really a team we should be looking to grab points off

Hope I didn't just see you compare Boydy to Fred of Lyon there.

Musta been a bad dream

not as in hes good like Fred, as in their both lazy shites :craphead:

  8. Hemdani holds the ball and rarely looses it. That's what you need in Europe, he's a great holding midfielder, and a cracking shot when he uses it(the unwashed and Osasuna), allows Bazza to roam forwards and him and Thommo seem to be pairing quite well when we play a 4-5-1. Also walter won't seel him seeing as he already said Hemdani isn't going, therefore he won't want to contradict himself

  9. Yeah, Fred out for 6 months so wont face Rangers, Lyon not the force they were, we can take them at Ibrox along with Stuttgart, after all we beat them 2 seasons ago in ueffa cup

    Great draw bring it on

    C'MON THE GERS!!!

    WATP

  10. When we came up against Porto Inter and Artmedia there was pressure on us to qualify and we nearly bottled it. Porto are a team that aren't what they were, and Artmedia obviously couldn't hump us after all the pelters we had given the Celts. In all of those games it felt edgy because we felt like we should be qualifying. This time though, we are a real dark horse. Out of all the teams in our group, we are the only one not to have dropped points in the league this season. As underdogs we can play with no pressure, nobody in their right mind expects us to qualify, and thats a huge advantage because historically we are SHITE under pressure.

Well thats my logic for ya :craphead:

  11. Good post mate.

I'm glad Barca only seem to have 3 danger men. Thats 8 we don't need to worry about then. :craphead: or am i forgetting about Messi, Eto'o, Xavi and Deco???

couldn't be asked to put them all down :classier_than_pipeguy:

anyways Eto'o's injured for months, Deco can't get a game. Messi is obviously class but VERY inconsistent

Eto'o is injured for months?? He played last week. Whats happened to him?

said on rangers.co.uk that he is out for at least 2 months

  14. With that pish result tonight.

They get a share of the TV money now, is that right?

yup and also had the manks gone out, we would be in pot 3 avoiding lazio etc.

wish artmedia were still in the draw :craphead:

That just makes it all the more annoying!! :angry2:

    pardon my french but

    exactement!

  15. The strides health technology is taking these days, I will not at all be surprised to see players lasting into their older age. Look at Weir for example.

    My question is,

What is the average age for a player to be past his chance of succeeding in the SPL at all the positions:

    Striker

    Winger

    Midfield

    Defence

And, do you think that this age will go up as time moves on?

    Striker 29

    Winger 28

    Midfield 32

    Defence 35

    As time moves on

    Striker 32

Winger 27(game will become far more physical)

    Midfield 33

    Defence 37

  16. Taken off the beeb

Kosanovic says best team went out

Red Star Belgrade coach Milorad Kosanovic thought the best team had been eliminated after the Champions League qualifier against Rangers.

"We were unlucky not to go into the group stage of the Champions League, as we've shown in these two matches that we are better than Rangers," he said.

"Rangers used their enormous experience to stop our forwards.

"They were on the brink of conceding a goal at some stages, but they stayed calm and prevented us scoring."

Rangers left Belgrade with a goalless draw to add to the goal scored by Nacho Novo in the first leg in Glasgow.

"When you miss chances like we did in the first half, and when your only mistake, in the 90th minute of the first leg costs you a goal then you have to accept that you are out," added Kosanovic.

"In modern football, at this level, details decide matches.

"Still, I think my team gave their best in both games, maybe even played better then they can usually, but that wasn't enough to go through."

you'd think he would have gone and crawled under a rock by now? :craphead::craphead::craphead:
