  1. Mental that for such a big position he has reportedly a months notice. Seems a bit amateur
  2. He’s not really said anything there that older staff in every workplace feel. We’ve got a generation of kids now who are growing up with everything at their fingertips on their phone. Even for people my age (early 30s), I can still distinctly remember times where mobiles didn’t exist and the internet had big limitations. Kids nowadays drink less, want to travel more, prioritise festivals over nightclubs etc. They don’t want to work in offices, the good ones can work remotely from anywhere in the world, are more likely to freelance or have side businesses etc. I manage a sales team and honestly find it difficult to connect with the under 25s that are occasionally hired in, so it’s no surprise footballers feel the same. The club should make the “leadership team” do courses to make them feel at ease, it would benefit all parties.
  3. Best CB we have. Goldsons a myth and Souttar was fucking rotten for the first 15-20 minutes of the 2nd half.
  4. We are fucking terrible going forward. Should’ve scored about 6 today and we’re talking absolute guilt edges chances.
  5. Massive, if we finish 2nd this year and fail to win the Scottish Cup, we’re a bad autumn away from being onto our 5th manager in 3 years. He has to start winning OF games. I have more belief in Clement than the others (although Gios failure was down to Wilson’s piss poor recruitment), but this current “leadership team” have shown time and time again they can’t hack pressure. He had to stop the rot and that means some honest discussions with the likes of Goldson, Lundstram, Tav. It also means clearing the decks of players who have shown they aren’t up to scratch, all the out of contract players should leave and the likes of Wright, Lammers, Dessers, Matondo, Lawrence, Dowell, Davies need moved on and replaced. If he fails on the personnel decisions above, the players will fail him.
  6. Can’t say I noticed it, barring it held up once when one of the Aberdeen forwards was in the box and meant he took the shot later than he would’ve otherwise. Playing 120 minutes of football the day before isn’t going to help any pitch though.
  7. They’ve so much arrogance, even though their pish they have a self belief we don’t.
  8. I’d be all over signing Barron in the summer to replace Jack. Miovski is a much better footballer than Shankland but we wouldn’t be able to afford him
  9. Aye he’s pish, worst is that we’re lumping Sima at RW to accommodate him.
  10. Tbf he’s been utterly shite every subs appearance he’s made under Clement.
  11. He knows, but he’s hardly gonna say they’re a bunch of losers when there’s still a minuscule chance we win the league
  12. When we appointed Clement, I remember listening to a podcast they did on him and they interviewed a Monaco fan. The one negative that stuck out was that he didn’t know how to get a side out of a rut. Safe to say we’re seeing that now, some fucking timing
  13. Mental how we’ve completely fallen off a cliff since Yilmaz got injured.
  14. Even that isn’t enough as our GD is 5 worse than theirs.
  15. Leagues done and they’ll probably win it at Parkhead against us. Fucking brilliant. Tav, Goldson, Lundstram, just fuck off
  16. Big 45 minutes, title race is over if we don’t win this
  17. Agreed but sometimes you have to sign the players under your nose. Signing Sima for £5-6million (if possible), is a no brainer. You’ll never lose money on that unless we let him run down his deal like Kent/Morelos. You could easily spend that money on someone else who fails and be in a worse position, we don’t know if Danilo will end up being a good signing for example.
  18. We’ve got to try and sell the likes of Davies, Matondo, Raskin, Wright, Dessers, Lammers and let all the out of contract players leave. If we can bring in the guts of £10million for them, it doesn’t weaken the squad a great deal. Need to push the boat out to get Sima, get Danilo back fit and sign another quality striker and we’d be okay upfront. Assume we’ll sign Cortez, McAusland is a useful bench option, but we’ll need another starting XI wide player and then some cover, although the likes of Wright and Matondo offer nothing there currently. Cantwell, Diomande and Lawrence are fine, but we need a proper CDM to replace Lundstram who’s had his chance. CBs a fucking mess, Goldson looks done, Souttar makes a lot of mistakes and then we have nothing else barring King. Need to push the boat out here and sign someone a level above, equivalent to what the tarriers did the CCV. Amazing what one good CB does for a back 4, can almost carry them single handedly at times. GK is fine and Yilmaz and Tav are okay, but if any kid of Saudi money comes in for Tav I’d sell and sign another RB.
  19. The leadership team, as they’ve never led us to consistent success and won’t Goldson should never have been given a new deal (we’ll be stuck with him for the next 2 years and he’ll get progressively worse). Tavernier whilst an incredible threat for goals, just isn’t the same player and looks sick of it all. Lundstram has a good 3-4 month spell then reverts to type. Has never bossed a meaningful league Old Firm game. Never shows up when the chips are down domestically, prefers standing between the CBs doing fuck all. Get rid of them and replace with people who don’t have the battle scars of the past 3 seasons of domestic embarrassment. I’m not counting the cups, should be a given we win at least 1 every year.
  20. I think they’ll drop points in one of their games, but we’re in a bad place and I honestly don’t think we’ll be there to capitalise on it. We’ve looked down at out before (Walters last title being a great example), so we need to make sure we stay in it. If they do slip up, I’d never forgive this crop of players if we didn’t at least capitalise on that. If we lose the title because of Parkhead, fair enough. They’re 50/50 games and you can’t control them. But if the tarriers drop points to Kilmarnock and we don’t put pressure on because we’ve dropped points against the likes of Dundee, then that’ll be criminal.
  21. Hearts have had a really good youth academy for a few seasons now and hearing they think a lot of the crop of players between the ages of 15-17. I don’t hear anything near that level of excitement about the equivalent ages from our side…
  22. Sounds like we’ll still get CL automatically if we win the league, as long as the winners of thenCL this year qualify via their league position
