  1. The game of football is dead, until the English Premiership implodes and everyone can get back to normal. Twats like this Eagles guy turning down the chance of a good wage and Champions League football so he can go back to an inflated wage at some monkey club in England just prove how badly the game has deteriorated. I'm only 33 and even I hanker for the "good old days".
  2. I don't see where people get the idea Boyd is lazy. He's supposed to be a penalty box predator, not tracking back into his own penalty box every time someone runs past him. McCoist hardly broke sweat in some games, but his goals won games. Boyd's the same. I can't say how he played today as I haven't seen the game. I'm not sure if he's got the quality we need, but I don't think he's lazy. I think he's doing the job he's being asked to do by the manager. Dropping him might be best for the team, and it MAY give Boyd a chance to reflect on his game. Certainly if he doesn't start scoring soon he'll lose his place. Novo always proves his worth when he gets a game, and with Cousin and Gow sitting there, it's only a matter of time til Walter loses patience with Boyd's bad luck.
  3. Celtic are bottlers. They were last season, when we would have cuaght them had Walter come in just a little earlier, and they are this season too. If Falkirk had the legs to push on today, Celtic would have been humbled. The 4-1 scoreline flattered them. They'll drop points this season to teams with determination. This league is there for the taking. (we all said that last year right enough, but this year, well, Walt knows his job).
  4. I've never been Hemdani's biggest fan. I always think he does the bare minimum. But recently I've started to appreciate his calming presence and his exceptional use of the ball. On the other hand, Thomson has done nothing since he came to Ibrox. If it's a choice between Hemdani and Thomson, I'll take Hemdani. I agree there's no need for both of them in midfield.
  5. Nah, he's 24 almost 25, too old to be a prospect now. He's a lot better than just being a squad number. I agree, but I can't see Walter dropping Cousin, Boyd or even Darcheville. So where does Gow fit in? But Walter must have had this planned all along, so I really do think he'll expect Gow to learn from the strikers here just now, to become a stalwart for future seasons.
  6. He'll develop probably in the reserves with the odd run out to cover injuries. I'm sure Walter will look on him as one for the future.
  7. Clearly we DO have too many strikers, but Walter must be planning on getting rid of at least one. Sebo will be gone as soon as. Gow and Novo will be kept as backup, with Darcheville, Cousin and Boyd rotating in some way. Remember, once people get injuries we'll need a few. Not as many as we have, but still. And Novo will be used on the right flank a lot too.
