I don't see where people get the idea Boyd is lazy. He's supposed to be a penalty box predator, not tracking back into his own penalty box every time someone runs past him. McCoist hardly broke sweat in some games, but his goals won games. Boyd's the same. I can't say how he played today as I haven't seen the game. I'm not sure if he's got the quality we need, but I don't think he's lazy. I think he's doing the job he's being asked to do by the manager. Dropping him might be best for the team, and it MAY give Boyd a chance to reflect on his game. Certainly if he doesn't start scoring soon he'll lose his place. Novo always proves his worth when he gets a game, and with Cousin and Gow sitting there, it's only a matter of time til Walter loses patience with Boyd's bad luck.
