I dont care if he was one of Europes top goalscorers this year, Mario Gomez is a fucking diddy
Totally agree, I think he's a horrible footballer. He is so clumsy it's unreal!

Is It Four Now? We've Won That Many Titles, I've Lost Count!
Well spotted mate - OOPS!
Haha
-
Dont think we got to see what he could do last season with his limited appearances.
As others have said before me, he's a good squad player.
Welcome Aboard For Three In a Row David!
Or four perhaps?
-
Admittedly I've only watched him once or twice, but I thought each time he looked like a big carthorse. £2.5m is vastly over-inflated for him in my opinion. No thanks.
-
What a game this is! Reading have been phenomenal in this second half, but could quite easily have been even further behind if Dobbie had finished that chance.
-
At least Sir Walter can say Messi never scored against one of his teams.
Except in 2007 at the Camp Nou?
-
At the end of the day it is a tournament with 4 really shit teams.
This
Add in the fact that Wales and Northern Ireland have squads filled with guys who aren't even regulars makes it far less appealing for their fans. Do they expect people to travel to watch them when it's quite clear they are going to get hammered?

Embarrassment of a thread.

But he mention that "the only update is Hibs' interest" so it can't be Jamie Hammill talking about Hearts and Hibs.
I stand corrected.
However, I maintain that there should never be a battle for a player with a club like Hibs. I can only assume it will be a player who's unlikely to be a first team starter.
-
Does this not read.... Jamie Hammil talks about the Hearts Hibs rivalry and in another Story, Rangers battle it out for a Striker? They could be battling it out with Barca for all we know.
Thats exactly how I read it
There's no way it would be a 'battle' if it was between us and Hibs anyway.

Faye would be a terrific addition in my opinion. He was a colossus at the heart of Stoke's defence the season before last.
Big, strong, quick and a leader. Great suggestion
-
How anyone could put Beattie at the top of their wanted list is beyond me.
Has Warnock actually watched him play at all in the last 18 months? He is well and truly finished. Runs like he's towing a caravan and doesn't have the touch or guile to unlock defences. Huge waste of money.
So yeah, let's hope QPR are interested!

Palazuelos is leaving.
I seen it on Sky Sports the other day.
Good news, thanks mate.
I would be very disappointed to see us spend a big chunk of our budget on Wallace. Central defenders, and a left midfielder (again!) should be priority positions. A new left back to compete with Papac would be welcome but certainly not for the type of transfer fee Romanov would be looking for.
-
Not a fan of Lee Wallace.
Hearts will be looking for in excess of £2m probably and he's certainly not worth that, especially with his recent injury record. If anything, I rate Papac higher than him.
However, Hearts signing Danny Grainger yesterday might suggest that one of their left backs may be on the way out. Hopefully it's Palazuelos. And not to us!

their spending is a myth . their net spend over the summer was next to nothing . they have spent within their means are still have a biscuit tin mentality.
Net spend might have been next to nothing but with a squad of over 25 players, their wage bill would have been high. Guys like Ljubgberg, Brown, Commons and Samaras will be on roughly 20k each so there's no doubt they are spending. It's just hilarious that they are spending it on such rubbish!
-
Given will want more than £40k a week himself.
Exactly, there's no way they can sustain their current level of spending, never mind bringing in guys with very little sell-on value on huge contracts. I hope they do right enough, because the shit will very much hit the fan soon and they will find themselves in big trouble.
-
With the exception of Scott Brown, our midfield to front is packed with good footballers who are comfortable in possession. I like the look of that.
The defence, however, is really worrying. Gary Caldwell should be nowhere near the team, and as for Berra, is that French for bombscare? He is a shocking defender!
Haven't seen the Wales team yet but I fancy Scotland to win this comfortably. 3-1.
-
Surely their spending won't be as frivolous this year seeing as they have no Champions League money yet again? Their wage bill must be enormous already without signing those two, who would probably command at least £40k a week between them.
I wouldn't even be too bothered if they did get Bothroyd. A good player on his day but he's outrageously inconsistent.

Were in this together, your eyes will mellow my mind and allow me to be free but im afraid i will never never love
Just sitting here remembering the first time Mick Hucknall tried to buy us. Maybe someday he'll open up the red box and go back to Old Trafford. We need a new flame.

Ive no rohypnol left, maybe slip you some night nurse.
Aint that a lot of love.
I just hope the OP will do 'the right thing' and tell us if this is 'fake' or not.
If I could tell him to do one thing it would be this : look in 'your mirror' and get the truth out there. I promise 'I won't feel bad.'
Go on, 'thrill me'.
-
Im so not over you
This excitement is keeping me awake, where's the Night Nurse....
-
Excellent post mate. Couldn't agree more
-
No. He didn't offer anywhere near enough on the pitch, even though be became something of a cult hero. A much nicer guy than the media would have everyone believe but the money he would cost could be utilised much more efficiently.
-
I saw his interview on the STV news, there was a certain air of tragedy about it.
Gerry McCullough asked him why their support should renew their season tickets and he said 'you saw the stadium on Sunday. Even when Rangers were 4-0 up, they were all singing and dancing. You wouldn't get that anywhere else.'
Effectively, he's saying Celtic welcome deluded muppets who celebrate abject failure. Hilarious!

Eddie Hearn said probably about 2.45am UK time for the ring walks so after 3am start I reckon.
