  1. After Lafferty's first goal on sunday and having watched it back a thousand times, anybody else notice the iceman himself sprint about 60 yards from left back and slide on his knees into the rest of the players! Absolutely quality show of emotion from the bigman. I will also never forget that picture of him on the fencing in front of the Bears in Florence after we won the penalties.

Did anyone else hear the rumour that he can move mountains with a single flick of his flowing locks? Apparently Barack Obama has been so impressed with his ice cool ability to perform under pressure and to deal with anything that comes his way, he was put in charge of the crack Navy Seal team that assassinated Osama Bin Laden :craphead:

  2. Never knew that mate

Is it still called the caley ?

It is yeh, but fuck knows who they sold it onto. U can't imagine it having the same atmosphere with Pablo, Juan and Sergio behind the bar can you. Had some really good times in there!

  3. played football and got quite pally with Charlie Adam, when he was still shite, about 3 years ago when I worked in the Cally bar in Tenerife. He knew all the management who are Rangers daft so he was in every night with his bird!

  4. I'd love to see us make a bid for Jem Karacan at Reading, I personally don't think we have replaced Kevin Thomson and this type of industrious midfielder who is also technically very good would be great alongside Davis.

  5. After getting death threats and bombs in the post, I think anyone would have been terrified. How would you feel if someone tried to punch Walter or Ally. Unacceptable.

If you play with fire you get fucking burnt, no sympathy for the cunt

  6. I left ibrox late last night to try and avoid the rain and as I was walking down Edmiston Drive, I saw Margaro Gomis and Maurice Edu stumble out of main door at Ibrox. In a scene resembling something out of Bad Boys the two, clearly worse for wear, were belting out King Billy's On The Wall as they approached their cars, just saying!

  7. In fairness when I read the headline and OP, I thought I was going to be shot down in flames for my opinion. However, a lot of us seem to be in agreement that if they are 'shiteing it' they're certainly not showing it. They are sweeping teams aside, the result that stood out for me was their recent result against Kilmarnock after we had done Dundee Utd the night before. That was a bitter pill to swallow, I genuinely thought Kilmarnock would get something from the game. So in answer to your question, no I don't think they are running scared, infact I'm resigned to the league being gone :disappointment:

  8. To be honest I think this season has highlighted that there are far too many 'hangers on' at Rangers, some with so called legendary status, all of whom have sat back and let the club be attacked and demonised from every corner of the world.

I realise some people will find it difficult to accept but just what exactly do the likes of Jardine and Greig do?

I applaud their contributions to the club in the past but we desperately need people who are going stand up for the fans and traditions of the club instead of those who only seem to hang around Ibrox with a Rangers tie on enjoying free hospitality?

I don't mean to sound disrespectful with such comments but this club is in crisis and needs immediate action.

I don't think you're being disrespecful in any way! I would never intentionally disrespect legends of the club, Greig especially, but our club is screaming out for people who will fight tooth and nail with that lot across the city and more importantly stand up against some of the vitriol written in the press. Let's face it, half the reason we hate Lawwell is because he's fucking good at his job.

  9. Would it not be an idea to first get first team players, so that we actually have 11 good players to field next season? We should be building from the back, having at least 1 player in each position good enough for Rangers. That doesn't mean they have to be anything special, just good enough for us to win the SPL and not look like a fish out of water in Europe.

Then we should be getting squad players, but I would be looking elsewhere than the SPL for such players. Squad players end up becoming regulars more often than not anyway.

    (tu) Completely agree Plamf

I also think we have yet more youngsters who are more than capable of making the grade with the first team. I work at Oxford United's academy and have dealings with the first team with the nature of the job. Last season we had Ross Perry and Stevie Kinniburgh on loan. Both were absolutely magnificent performers and we actually signed Kinniburgh upon his release. In truth the boy has had a bit of a nightmare getting in the first team this season and to be fair when he has had opportunities he hasn't really played to the level we know he can play at and it looks as though he will be released at the end of this year.

But having witnessed it first hand and knowing a wee bit about football, I'd be more than comfortable throwing Perry into the first team. He's also very much a regular for the Scotland u21's.
