  1. People who say we went busy due to overspending are speaking shit tbh. It was the BTC that initially threatened us and Whyte not paying PAYE that eventually caused the liquidation event.

IIRC the only reason Lloyd's tightened their grip and started running things in 09/10 was because their was a change in management/ownership at and the new honcho wouldn't/didn't give us/Murray as good a credit facility as the old guy did so they called in what we owed them to pull it into line.

That might be completely wrong, and if it is I'd like to be corrected, because that has always been my understanding of it.

We originally had our credit facility with Bank of Scotland but Lloyd's were forced by the government in to a takeover in the midst of the financial downturn/crisis. This resulted in a lot of financial reviews and "belt tightening".

I still believe that Lloyd's were a driving force behind the sale to Craig Whyte - they saw an easy way out and pushed David Murray to take it.

  2. The highlights are on the BBC website. He didn't divert his run at all.

Let's be honest whether he had to divert or not, the mere fact he was there for me means he was interfering with play. It's a crazy rule - as when a man is offside you automatically switch off for a split second thinking you are going to get the free kick.

It was a tough decision to take. But apart from that I thought we were the makers of our own downfall.

  3. Even Jinmy Nichol commented that the only one looking to do something was Aird. He ran at defenders and have them a tough time. What did the rest do?

    Law - fail

    Black - fail

    Hutton - who?

    Moshni - bombscare

    Daly - ineffective

    Foster - woeful

  4. Rovers got an early goal and parked the bus. We dominated on Sunday but struggled to break them down.

We scored an early goal and that forced airdrie to open up a little to chase the game, this allowed is to find space.

  5. I for one don't blame Ally, to say we missed out the midfield yesterday would be untrue. We had the ball in front of their defence and all of our midfield players were involved.

None of our players seemed to have any ideas or imagination as to how they could break down the opposition.

Men like Law, Templeton and Shiels should have been instrumental but sadly they looked disinterested. You cannot blame Ally for that.

When a player crosses the line at home in a quarter final you should expect passion and commitment - sadly none if our players showed any.

  6. Expected big things from the lad today, he was outstanding against rovers at the start of the season.

The whole team lacked imagination and I felt particularly let down by him as he is a player who should be making a difference.

  7. If that's the way you interpret it then that's fine but he's clearly following on talking like there's no shortfall or money loss like its absolute fact because it suits his latest wee agenda

No he doesn't he follows on stating that other parties would like to have been given the opportunity to buy more shares.

Anyways what I really want is for Dave King to be given the opportunity to buy shares. He is the only man that seems to be interested in taking us forward.

  8. Where do you start with that

He now believes there's no financial shortfall after months of where's the money gone and losing a million a month

His London guy doesn't know what the loanees are getting in return yet he'd have wrote a cheque for more and took less in return?

    Words fail me

He doesn't say that there is no financial short fall, he says that the club told him there was no shortfall - he then states if this was the case why would they need a loan. His tone suggests he doesn't believe the clubs claims.

I actually thought he came across quite well in the interview albeit he looks like an extra from the football factory.
