Did he ever really accomplish anything?
Don't remember him ever having a spell good enough for the reputation he has.
A shame really he just didn't live up to the hype he got from being one of the original championship manager superstars.

Tommorow's headline on the front page of the rebel.
PETER LIESWELL SOLVES SCOTLANDS SECTARIAN BIGOTRY PROBLEM.
By removing the hate fuelled bigot from his position at the tattie dome.
Well if they printed the truth it could be.
-
Smart move from the jap, give the little bigot a payoff and a nudge out of the door and unveil Larson as his replacement.
The bheasts will be flocking back to the tattie dome next year.
-
Bear in mind the collateral damage this will do to the Rangers supporters clubs, these guys have had a very hard time of it trying to run buses to away games these last two years when tickets have been in such short supply.
Successful boycotts of away grounds could end up closing some of them down altogether.

I'll be getting mine on Friday, if the antics of the SOS or UOF cause an insolvency event at the club and I lose out in any way I won't be a very happy bear.
If you think we've got a split support just now wait and see what happens if this scenario comes about.

Now despite really enjoying the game tonight I will accept there were a lot of players who are very raw (burrows! ) and I'd accept not all of them are ready for first team football. However there was also a lot of ability on show as well.
Tonight they were up against a hearts team filled with their first team squad and they more than held their own against far more experienced players. It begs the question where they and we would be had ally given more of them a chance whilst we were competing in part time leagues.
Gallagher and McKay were the only two in that team with any real 1st team experience yet there are 3 or 4 others who could and should have played more....just think how much stronger we would be both financially and squad wise if he'd done it!
Telfer to me looks like he has real ability and if we let him go I will be absolutely raging tbh. I don't for a minute think Kelly would have let us down as a sub keeper behind Gallagher and bell to save wasting money on simonsen and there are others who could have filled up our squad instead of bringing in 8 players last summer.
I don't want to detract from a great win tonight but it really angers me the opportunity we have missed and the short termisim that our manager seems to focus on!
Is your glass permanently half empty !
You're turning a youth cup win into another chance to put the boot into our club.
Fucking unbelievable.

What a load of shite, when we play the scum the trouble flashpoints are always in the pubs and clubs.
This is where supporters have been drinking heavily while watching the TV coverage.
Apart from trading insults and a bit of menacing behaviour towards each other there is very little trouble from the fans in the stadium.
So if they stage the game abroad it means there will be many more supporters going out to watch the game on TV and therefore it will create more problems than it solves.

Loving the village people look fae the guy on the right..
I'd say it was more of a 'begby'
I'm on that pitch down near the goals, just trying to get away from the bottles flying down from the back of the rangers end. honest officer !
-
Yes me too, I was really disappointed to hear that crap coming from fellow rangers fans.
There was even some clown near me trying to heckle ally during his speech.

Rights issue.
"The authority given to the Board at the AGM in December 2013 to enable the Company to allot up to 43,400,000 new ordinary shares of 1p each in the capital of the Company on a pre-emptive basis to existing shareholders has not been exercised to date. In the event that season ticket sales over the forthcoming weeks are materially less than anticipated then the Company may seek to use this pre-emptive authority which can offer a cost effective and efficient method of raising capital".
Here we go it's fill yer boots time for the institutional investors.
It looks like the laxley loan was just the first of many.

Dave King is a cunt that is taking a huge risk of pointing us towards liquidation again in order to get the club for next to nothing, the risk the current cunts who own the club sell off the assets leaving nothing in place and Rangers die. Sandy Eastdale got slagged for calling this out BUT it is a real possibility that the Union of Fuds (or fenians take your pick) did not want out there. AND there are city rules that whether King wants to hear it or not HAVE to be followed. The UoF SoS RST and their ilk can ALL fuck off. (and there is one common link that should make ALL bears shudder, the cheque bouncing, email hacker) The only way to make Rangers viable is to support the TEAM. Make us strong again and if you have a few hundred quid to spare buy shares BUT do NOT buy into the RST lame brain scheme to milk you of your money and power. If you then think the board is inept the get together with fellow bears and call for an EGM. I want to hear Wallace's plan to move us forward, have there been mistakes made in the past YES but we can do fuck all about them other than making sure they are NOT repeated. I believe the current board needs 2 more years to bring the club into the black. Until then expenditures have to be kept under control. I don't have an issue with the level of player contracts at present. BUT it cannot go higher. Revenues NEED to increase, a HUGE part of the problem has been European team level expenses but Scottish Lower League revenues, we could not simply reduce expenditures to meet income over the past 2 years it would have ripped the CLUB apart and the costs to re-establish things a lot higher in the long run. We really need a 5 year plan for the club in terms of players expenses and ambitions, and one that is realistic, not moonbeams no matter who is spinning them from Wallace to King.
Great post

Semi-pro is where we are now. The only other professional club in our league is Dunfermline. Next season while be the first time we've played in a profesional league since 2011/12.
You are getting all confused with the terms 'part-time and semi-pro.
Every club in the SPFL is a professional club yes even down to the bottom of league two.
-
They don't play professional football. They play semi-pro in the worst leagues in Europe.
Semi-pro is the junior leagues I didn't realise the corrupt cabal had kicked us that far down the league set-up !
-
You do know that most of the teams in the lower leagues are part time therefore are not professional clubs
What does the 'p' stand for in SPFL ?
-
They certainly weren't good at football or they wouldn't be were they are.
Where they are ?
What playing for a professional football club ?
And before you post in another flippant silly answer here's something to think about.
I know personally two players who chose to stay part-time when offered a full time contract because their 'day job' paid more.
One at Kilmarnock and the other at the old airdrie.
The point being they are all decent players and some are definitely better than the level they are playing at.
-
There's a reason their postmen.
Were they good at geography in school ?
-
2 yards really !!
Are you trying to suggest that all postmen are shite footballers ?
Every team in the league has now sussed out our weakness, if they 'park the bus' we are just not good enough to break them down.
Therefore the game ends up turgid and we eventually adopt the long ball game because we can't play through teams.
That is the facts why bother moaning about it,our team is good enough to be winning this league at a canter but when we come up against negative tactics it shows how far we have to go.
-
.. But as all the FM2014 managers on here tell us when other teams do that against us it should be easy to score 4-5 goals against opposition that park the bus. !!!
This is very true.
-
Strange how 'anti-football' is acceptable all of a sudden but when we have faced it all season and not scored 5/6 goals against a ten man defence,we slaughter our team.
This in no way is in support of Ally as Manager.
Spot on mate the irony in some of these posts is unbelievable, but then again it's hard to judge a tactical performance while watching a dodgy stream on the computer.
-
Tough choosing a winner from them but I opted for Ian black's screamer against Forfar.
Top quality left footed strike for a right footed player.

See resigning, should that not be the thing McCoist should be doing, would Boyd not be re-signing?
