  1. Finally got it working but had to refresh the black box screen many times before the stream loaded.
  2. I sent an e-mail to the support (support@rangerstv.tv) and they gave me a direct link. Caught the last 5 minutes of the pre-game show. Had to do the same last week. Although I love the service, I don't understand how they can't get simple things like this right
  3. For Gers games I would definitely go with Rangers TV. It's a very good streaming service run by the club and the quality is excellent for what it is. I'm in the US and use it for every game. As an added advantage for ex-pats in different time zones, you can watch the games "as live" after they've been played - so you can watch it at a sensible time where you are. Like any streaming video, though, there are a number of factors that can influence the quality of the picture and the experience on any given day. Generally I've found it very good. Some buffering happens but the game resumes where it left off, so it's not a big problem usually.
  4. True. The decision to pay a dividend would be the board's, I think, and this would be a method of extracting money using MIH's link to Rangers. However, it would be very public. The OP was trying to suggest that MIH was in collusion with Lloyds to syphon off money without letting anyone know. I think that's unlikely. I don't think that's necessarily the case, although I understand the point you're making, which is kind of concerning. The Chairman has said that the Board has re-negotiated our covenants with the bank and that our only commitment is to pay off 1m GBP per year (off the capital, presumably). Within that constraint, Rangers are free to manage their own money. It may, however, make good business sense to pay off the debt as quickly as possible along with re-structuring the club's cost base to make it more self-sustaining in the future.
  5. THANK FECK YOU AINT AN ACCOUNTANT .... we made £5million PROFIT and will be more as walter eluded to if we SELL ...Hence reducing the debt further ...plus the 10million CL money if won.. PLUS WHAT YOU FORGET obviously the value of OUR ASSETS over £100million if im not wrong ,ie the stadium ,training ground etc.... No need to shout. We made a £5m profit when? What's the relevence of our stadium and Murray Park to theprofit or loss that we are making? dont try and be a smartarse on the "SHOUTING" comment .. who owns all things rangers ffs including our stadium etc.? you know mate??. RANGERS F.C. and our stadium are valued at over £100million You started the smartarse comments, with your accountant point. Of course they own the stadium, but what's that got to do with the profit or loss that we are making? In case you missed it, I'll ask again. When did we make a £5m profit? thats why i sarcastically made the £5million profit comment cause IT WAS YOU THAT FIRST MENTIONED IT ..... Ah OK. I actually said we'll make under a £5m profit, but anyway that hardly makes up for last year's loss, and as I said we could make a loss next year. I can't see Lloyds looking at Rangers and hoping that we'll solve all of MIH's problems. Also any cash that we generate will go to meeting our debt and will not be used for any other parts of the MIH group debt. dont be fooled ffs ,,,its business ...you have obviously not understood fuck all mate....Lloyds are privvy to all debt that MIH owe them and as they see it we are part of MIH ffs,,please get to grips with that at least ,therefor any debt we recoup can as a group member be used to reduce the WHOLE GROUP THATS BUSINESS im afraid ,and why we are in the shit we are in........you get it now.. Rangers are a separate business entity and as such any money they generate cannot be used to pay off loans for other businesses within MIH. It can only be used to reduce loans owed by Rangers. In the past SDM may have been able to use inter-company loans to move debt about, but he is no longer in a position to do this. As far as I know the only connection between MIH and Rangers is that SDM's shareholding is held by an MIH company.
  6. I don't think we have the depth of squad to allow Bougherra to leave in January. Yes, Danny Wilson could step in and provide an able replacement - his ability to pass a long ball accurately may make up for Bougies attacking runs - but what happens if he gets injured? We'll have Whittaker back at RB to move Broadfoot into the middle and we'll start shipping goals again. There's a lot of football to be played between January and the end of the season and in our current situation it's more important than ever to make sure that we win the league. Not worth the risk. Keep him 'til the Summer, win the league, take the money
  7. I think it's definitely worth it for the live games. At $300 for the season it's a no-brainer. Of course, depending on where you're going in the States it can be an early start to watch them live. If it's a lunch time game you can always wait and stream it "as live" after the game is over (usually 3 hours after the end of the game). The quality of the video is good, it's improved this year since the launch of Rangers TV. If you get a good broadband connection you should be fine. I project it from the laptop onto a 100" screen and it looks good (okay, it's not HD but very acceptable). Only occasionally does the stream stutter but it's usually just buffering and picks up where it left off, so none of the game is skipped. There are glitches sometimes with the delivery. I've not had a problem with home games but away games and european ties have sometimes been late in starting and sometimes the encoding has been poor - not often though, considering this is a new venture for Rangers. Whether this is problems at our end or with the TV companies, I can't tell. They're not very good at keeping you informed all of the time, although this seems to be improving. I don't know much about the other content on the site as I haven't really watched it but they do have a preview program on a Friday, I think, as well as archived games. It's the best way to get your Rangers fix. Setanta still shows SPL games over here but they're shown mid-week, so by that time you already know the score. I prefer to watch the game live or at least on the same day. Good luck with your move
  8. Thanks for the steer, guys. Just signed up for Gol on DirecTV, here in Utah. $20 for the month but I get the PSG game tomorrow and Arsenal on Sunday. Same price as it would be on PPV on the Rangers website, if they were showing it, but hopefully a better picture
